Well well well...I can proudly say,  that I've read all the books released by this author. This makes me a very lucky girl. 😜

Imagini pentru gif lucky me

"Chasing Hannah" is the second book in "Billingsley" series and it's Hannah's story. Hannah is Lottie's best friend and in Redeeming Lottie, the first book in this series, I truly adored her. She is the best friend, a girl could wish for. She is amazing, kind, crazy and funny as hell.

Imagini pentru gif bff

I adored Redeeming Lottie, so after I finished it, I contacted Miss Ellen. I told her how much I loved Lottie's story, and that I wanted more. I wanted Hannah's story because I liked her so much. Only I wanted a love story between Hannah and Wes. Hannah and Wes' characters are so much alike. They really have chemistry, their jokes, their sarcasm, they are crazy fun together.

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor crazy fun gif

Now don't get me wrong, I love Billy, but I personally feel that Hannah is a much stronger character than Billy. She has a strong personality. Billy, whom we met in "Redeeming Lottie" too, is a sweet loving guy. I wanted Billy's story too because he was a key character in Redeeming Lottie, but I never imagined that he and Hannah would make a couple...So... Billy and Hannah have a thing....and something more...When I read what happened between the two of them I was like...

After that night's events, Billy got scared and ran away, leaving Hannah behind with a broken heart.

Hannah is forced to come back to Billingsley for her best friend Lottie's wedding. She doesn't want to see Billy, but she has no choice. She becomes BFF's with Wes, and he is the only one she tells about what happened that night, between Billy and her.
So Wes starts helping, her and Billy.

After losing her job, Hannah offers to help Lottie with her shop until Lottie comes back from her honeymoon with Tucker. She can't avoid Billy forever, after all, Billingsley is a small town.

Billy tries to make things right with Hannah because he really does love her, but as I told you earlier, he is a very sweet guy, and every time he tries, he makes things worse. That's until he gets all mad and the real alpha man inside of him comes out.

If you are looking for some easy, hot, sweet read with hot cowboys, this book might be the one for you. My personal favorite still remains Redeeming Lottie. You have to try both of them. I myself can't wait to read Wes' story, that is something I most definitely don't want to miss.

I highly recommend this book! 💗

4 star Review of Chasing Hannah (Billingsley #2) by Melissa Ellen

AUDIO REVIEW:

Recently I have found myself gravitating to small town romances and as this is a second chance at love story, I couldn’t wait to dive in. Narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross, they both did a good job bringing Hannah and Billy’s story to life.

This is Hannah Montgomery and Billy Miller’s story and it was an entertaining book to listen too. I really liked how sassy and feisty Hannah was; her sense of humour had me laughing out loud at times and I was drawn to her personality. I fell hard and fast for Billy, such a great guy whose life has not been easy.
I admired Billy’s determination and commitment to make Hannah happy, totally swoon worthy. The chemistry between them is intense and you could almost feel the tension in the air, making it impossible to ignore.
This is a sweet, romantic love story, with a little angst thrown in and one that I found enjoyable to listen too.

I was so excited when I first heard that Melissa Ellen was going to write a follow up to Redeeming Lottie, which I absolutely loved! I just knew there had to be a story to tell about Lottie's best friend, Hannah Montgomery, and wanted to know what in the world she was doing sneaking around with Billy Miller. I'm so glad that I got to find out, because their story made for such a cute and enjoyable read!

Hannah's character was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed her sassy style. She had this confident, yet insecure personality that I couldn't help but relate to. I loved her entertaining and candid humor, which she wasn't always able to hold back. However, the one thing that she couldn't seem to hold back were her feelings for Billy Miller...

'…I just couldn't seem to control myself when it came to the gorgeous man in from of me. The man was my kryptonite.'

Billy's character was just adorable! He was the perfect combination of sweet, strong, and hard working. Billy had some tough breaks in his life that held him back, but he wasn't going to let his fears get in the way of going after Hannah…

'I'm gonna make you swoon, baby. Just you wait and see.'

And boy, did Billy make me swoon! I loved how smitten he was with Hannah and the extents he went to make her happy. They had some great chemistry and passion, and I really hoped they could survive the distance between them.

The story was well written, and it was a light hearted and easy read. I think there could have been a little more complexity to the storyline, but it did have a little angst to keep it moving along. It was told in the dual point of views of Hannah and Billy, which really showcased their personalities, feelings, and heart.

Ellen writes such great secondary characters in her stories, and Hannah's 'BFF', Wes, really stole the show for me! He was like the puppy dog that's all in your face and annoying, but you can't help but love him anyway. Wes totally cracked me up, and dare I say that maybe there's another story to be told there?

I just love the quaint little town of Billingsley, Texas that Ellen has created in this series! It has the perfect hometown feel where everybody is in everybody's business, but at the end of the day, you know it's well-meaning, and they would move mountains to help you if you needed it. Just like the town itself, Ellen's stories are full of heart and topped with wit and humor, making this Billingsley Series a fun one to follow!

Hannah enjoys her life in Seattle and her job however her life takes a twist she doesn’t see coming when she loses her job. She isn’t looking forward to returning to Billingsley for her best friend’s wedding she will have to face the man she spent a steamy evening with and had a morning after that she would like to forget.

Billy regrets the way he acted after their night together and what he would really like is a do-over but their interactions never seem to go as planned. When she ends up staying in town for two weeks to manage her friend’s store they realize that there is much more to chemistry between them but with their very different plans for the future they will need to decide what and who they can’t live without you.

This is a sweet and sexy story about two people who couldn’t be more different except when it comes to their love for each other. I listened to an audio copy of the book and thought that the narrators did a greet job with the characters and the storyline. 🎧The Flock

This is my 1st read and review for this author and what a fantastic read it is. I loved this story about Hannah and Billy, they both had a one night stand over a year ago and things hadn’t turned out so good in the end. They were both drunk and after the sex Hannah accidentally told Billy I love you instead on meaning to say I loved that and then she puked all over him lol. A year later Hannah goes back to the small country town of Billingsley for her best friend’s wedding where she see’s Billy with a woman hanging off his arm. This is a feel good romance and I also kept having a chuckle with the things that was said it was so funny and I love that in a contemporary romance, it’s not all sex it has a really good story to it that’s why I give this story a 5 plus ⭐️ read. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read, I loved this story and I know you will too.

Hannah is a city girl who finds herself in a small country town. She’s sexy, smart, funny and desperately trying to avoid the man she had a one night stand with a year before while on vacation. But she finds out quickly that in a small town that’s pretty much impossible. Billy was left reeling after he had the best night of his life with a gorgeous blonde only to have leave and not hear from her again. It’s been a year and he’s still thinking about that night when she waltzes back into his small town. This time he has no intention of letting his blondie get away a second time.

I loved this story! It was so fun, hilarious, and plenty steamy. Billy was the cowboy of my dreams. He kept the steam factor high and had me swooning all over the place. I loved Hannah and Billy together although I wanted to smack them plenty of times for their miscommunications and stubbornness. If jumping to conclusions was an Olympic sport, they’d both medal in the event. Ultimately they see sense, let down their guard, and find their HEA. Leaving me with a big ol’ smile on my face.

Melissa Ellen, where have you been hiding? I adored Chasing Hannah! I’m now completely in love with a swoony cowboy, a sassy city girl, an entire town of nosy busybodies, and Melissa Ellen’s writing. 4.5 Stars.

Amazing book. If you have read the first book in this lovely series you're going love this one just as much. In this story we meet Hannah, a long time friend of Lottie's. She was there for a vacation a year ago but one thing lead to another and meet a man. That man changed her life but she really didn't know it at the time. Fast forward a year and it's time to return for Lotties's wedding,  things make it possible for her to stay but can she face the truth or move on. Billy is the handsome cowboy who had the best night of his life then bam it's gone. A year goes by and he's still filling the pain of that night. One thing leads to another and by the time we get to the end of the story...they find their HEA and so much more. Thank you for another amazing book and I can't wait to read Wes's story. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy

This felt lighter than the first book in the series: a little more silly, a little more fun. That might be because we’d already been introduced to the major players, so everyone was able to ‘let loose’ a bit. Hannah and Billy are so stubborn. I was right there with their friends, wanting to smack some sense into the pair. And they both get so much exercise jumping to the wrong conclusions. It made me snarl in frustration several times. I think I’ve fallen in love with this town full of nosy busybodies. I know I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

4.5 stars. What a great second story in the series. I loved it ❤️ This story is all about the characters and they are beautifully written. Hannah as the city girl in the small town country is fabulous. She's funny and smart and sexy. Her attempt at avoiding her one-night stand from a year ago is so fun and so not happening. Small town living at its best. Oh, Billy! He's so swoon worthy and not letting his Blondie go. Great couple! But Wes stole the show. What a hunk! Can't wait for the his story. This is a easy read that flows all the way to the terrific end of this beautiful love story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

After waiting for what seems like FOREVER, but in reality was only a couple of months, I finally got my hands on Hannah’s story AND I AM IN LOVE!!! I’ve been looking forward to Hannah’s book since we meet this witty little whirl-wind in Redeeming Lottie. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the way this book played out was perfect! It had everything I love in a romance novel including some laugh out loud hilarious moments (worst one-night stand ever)! I really liked Hannah as a character, but I honestly have to say that Daniel stole the show for me throughout the book. He was so sweet, honest, and patient; it made me want to push Hannah aside and profess my undying love. Melissa Ellen has provided us with another amazingly good novel and I can’t wait for her next book.

Chasing Hannah by Melissa Ellen is a small town second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross. This is the second book in the Billingsley series and can be read as stand-alone.

This is the first book of Melissa's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Hannah and Billy. I enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Sarah and Wen did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small town romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romance.

It’s warm and funny. Great read.

Chasing Hannah is Billy and Hannah's story. They met (and spent a night together) during the events of the previous book.

This is another wonderful story from Melissa Ellen. It’s warm and funny filled with a great group of characters.

Hannah's character was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed her confident and sassy personality.

Billy made me swoon! I loved how smitten he was with Hannah and his reaction to Wes was very funny.

The story was well written, and it was a light-hearted and easy read. Hannah's 'self-appointed BFF', Wes, really stole the show for me! He is Tucker's older brother so we already met him in the first book. Can't wait to read him book and story next.

Overall, this is a cute laid back story that was complicated by some misunderstandings. Very enjoyable read.

I read Redeeming Lottie first and was not able to really connect with the character of Lottie as I found her immature. I am happy to say that is not the case for Hannah. While she had some confidence issues they did not come across as immature, thank goodness. Billy was easy on the mind and made me want to find my own sweet cowboy. I enjoyed the fun sweet story immensely. I really enjoyed Wes and hope his story is coming up soon. He was so much fun and the reason behind several laugh out loud moments I experienced during this story. While I liked Redeeming Lottie I loved Chasing Hannah. Good series, great installment!

I LOVED this country romantic comedy! The characters draw you into their lives. I laughed out loud so many times! The Author continues to impress me on how well she balances the steamy romance with the comedy and drama. I just get lost in their world and don’t want it to end.

I’m hoping to see another book based in this small Texas town. No spoilers here, but there’s a sexy cowboy I’d like to read more about!

This is the second book in the Billingsley Series. This book will have you in stitches most of the time. A sweet romantic comedy based in a small country town in Texas. Hannah's back in town for her best friend's wedding and dreading running into her one night stand from years earlier. You'll fall in love with the drama of Hannah and Wes. Their chemistry is explosive and their back and forth banter is hilarious. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Hannah was returning to visit smalltown texas again. Last time she'd had a one night with Billy that changed everything and ended before it started. This time she was doing things differently. Billy had the biggest regret but wasn't sure if his dream could ever come true so he wasn't making up for that regret- well til she walked back into town. This couple had a rocky start, and had to truly find themselves to be together. There is cute banter, an annoying protective friend- Wes, meddling friends and baseball. Steamy, sweet and a few tissue moments but so worth the read. Does Leighton and Aaron have babies? Now that there are more babies in town I'd love to see them get em. I have to know does Wes get his own story about the one that got away? Seems him and his brother made that mistake. I'm also curious if Lauren gets a HEA. I enjoyed this book overall. Hannah comes back to this small town where her friend lives. She comes across the guy she had a one night stand with. Of course she comes to fall for him. Thankfully by the end she got it together and was able to snag the man she loved.

This wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Hannah was so dull and boring I just didn’t get why Billy cared to get with her. The girl jumped to every conclusion there is and everything was all about her. I am more interested in hearing Wes’s story now.

Billy met Hannah when she came to town to visit her friend, Lottie. There was an instant attraction between them and they ended up spending the night together. Then humiliation struck when Hannah misspoke the next morning which made him left in a flurry. They met up again at Lottie and Tucker's wedding and all the feelings they had for each other rushed to the forefront again. But with both of them humiliated by how things ended they tried avoiding each other even though they were drawn together, not helped by the fact that both of them assumed the other was with someone else. And also Billy knew that she would be leaving town again for her life in the city. But Hannah lost her job just before the wedding which gave her the opportunity to help out Lottie in her shop while they went on honeymoon. Will this be their chance and will they be brave enough to take it? And will they er able to let go of each other when the time comes for Hannah to go back to her new job and city life? I just love this series and the characters. This author has a special way with words which keeps you hooked from start to finish, there is so much emotion but also humour which makes for an excellent read.
