Great books to read - Enjoyed the shorter mysteries

I am only on book 6 but have enjoyed the ones I have read so far. There is a past unsolved mystery, a current misunderstood serial killer on the loose and each book is filled with a new case to solve. These books were different in that it does not take as long to solve the mystery and while I am not used to that, I do find it enjoyable and cannot wait to read more.

Mr. Passions knows how to write!! I really, really like the Bell series. I'm going for the next box set. I never get tired of reading about serial killers and how they are caught. If you're really into to cops and killers then I hope you enjoy this set!

Excellent

Each book is like watching a well done series on Netflix. The story flows and develops through each successive case Bell and Gardy investigate. Their camaraderie and banter brings a much needed humanity to these dark serial killer cases. Well written and an enjoyable read.

Entirely trivial and far from gripping as the publicity blurb claims. Boring and hardly police procedural as the criminals do for themselves clumsily. Only read the first 2 short stories and gave up.

Tension throughout

There is tension throughout this story, from start to finish.

There are a number of serial murderers that Bell and Gardy from the FBI BAU are tasked with tracking down.

Bell is very typical of female lead characters in this type of book. Far too headstrong for their and their partner’s own good and so not like women in reality. Gardy is far too accommodating of Bell and her always thinking she is right about everything.

There are a number of typos, holes and errors in the books that are quite irritating. The author also seems to be a slave to having storms in each book.

However, the story threads are good and the author is a master of building and maintaining tension and that makes the books enjoyable.

Really good read

I enjoyed this series immensely. The characters and stories were authentic and easy to follow. The villains unpredictably vile, but intriguing. The best part of this series is how easy it was to follow the characters and storyline.

An ongoing mystery in midst of other mysteries. I'm not keen on an open ending where you have to read the next book unless Amazon has both sets on Unlimited. Thankfully they do.

I do like the characters and the mystery.

wish I’d read these before the Bell & Wolf books

The introduction to Scarlett Bell and her partner, Gardy, sets the stage for the subsequent stories, which I read before discovering these.

On to the second “boxed” set!

good series

I like that he keeps the storyline moving forward and doesn’t stall like some books can. I am looking forward to finding out who killed Logan Wolfs wife.

Decent series that seems to be a sort of prequel to the Logan & Scarlett series that’s on my TBR list. I thought that the stories were pretty good, but way to short to really flesh anything out. I will finish the series though because I want to read the Logan and Scarlett series.

I’m a huge long novel fan, but these shorter novellas are a pretty good read!

I’m finding myself wishing these novellas weren’t novellas-I find the writing interesting enough that I binge read and I find myself wanting a longer read! I’m definitely scouting Amazon for further updates on releases!
