I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

A kid is practicing tennis, when he starts hearing voices. Confused, he looks around. It turns out grasshoppers are talking to him! They are having a contest to see whether large grasshoppers can jump farther than small ones.

The kid has to do a science research project, so he persuades the insects to join a scientific trial.

The book educates children on how to do things in a scientific manner.

Pretty decent, though the illustrations are annoying.

High school student, Nathan, uses the scientific method of inquiry to conduct an investigation with two friends he met in the park. This picture book, with high-school-appropriate vocabulary, is engaging for young adults to read independently, as well as useful as an instructional tool for science teachers. Join Nathan and his talkative research subjects as they jump through a bit of discovery learning!

There's a lot to learn in this short book ... hard work, intellectual curiosity, the scientific method and, of course, tennis. It's a great way to introduce the young reader to these concepts in an easy and enjoyable way.
I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
