Denver owns Elvira’s Tavern in Eden’s Ridge where Kennedy works. Since this is a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business, he keeps to himself. I loved that Kennedy and Cayla noticed how Denver looks at Misty, but has never made a move to get to know her. Since Kennedy is getting married, they bring Misty and Denver together by asking him to build an arbor and Misty to take care of the flowers for the arbor. Since Misty owns the flower shop in town, this is a good way to get the two ...more

Til There Was You is book 1.5 novella in the Misfit Inn series by Kait Nolan. I read the short version called Once Upon A Wedding a long time ago. Love this updated and extended version about Misty and Denver!

Two people who are working together for one of their friend’s wedding but an attraction between them makes them both look inside at the feelings they have but have never acted upon them.

Will these two find a way to connect,

Recommends it for: anyone who loves light, humorous romance
This is another home run hit by Kait Nolan. In this book, we watch Denver and Misty as they get to know each other and fall in love. But it’s not just their story. It’s three for one because we also get to peek in as Kennedy and Xander plan their wedding, and we also get a sneak peek at the beginning of Pru and Flynn's relationship, and learn a little more about what happen Joan and how Ari came to join the family. All in all, it proved highly satisfying, as all of Ms. Nolan’s books do.

Til There Was You is a story of romance and discovery with meant-for-each-other chemistry that’s off the charts! If not masterfully written, the story might’ve been about two weak characters who finally stumbled upon each other & then couldn’t manage obstacles that seem to trouble true love in every relationship! Denver’s issues with his father’s illness & death were not just “kind’ve a big deal”; they were most definitely an overwhelmingly Big Deal”!! But before I believed that, I was ...more

Til There Was You is a novella set within the Misfit Inn series. Denver has had his eye set on Misty for the past three years, but never made a move. That is, until a wedding forces them to start spending time together. Misty feels completely drawn to Denver and is willing to make some first moves, but will her past drive a wedge between their budding love?

I love books that I can just completely dive in and escape. Denver and Misty drew me in with their longing, kept my attention with their

When a story by Ms. Nolan comes across my hands, the to do list is forgotten, and all I want to do is get lost in the story. This one once again proved my point.
This time the story centers around Misty Pennebaker and Denver Hershal.
Denver is the local bar owner who since the day Misty moved into town, has been enchanted by her, but never really talked to her. Misty is the owner of the flower shop in town. A woman that reminds him of the yesterday days, with flowers on her head, and flowing

Denver owns the bar but does woodworking on the side. He doesn’t want it as his full time job. He just wants to make things that are special to. Several years ago, Misty came to town and opened a florist shop. Denver has been fascinated by Misty since she got to town. But he is to shy to do anything about it. When Kennedy, one of his bartenders, starts planning her wedding, decides to see if she can and Cayla, her wedding planner can find some way to get the two together. Misty and Denver, and ...more

As an ARC reader this is my honest opinion. I read this before as Misty and Denver's story from a Meet Cute (ONCE UPON A WEDDING). Now it's been expanded into a full novella. The overall story hasn't changed too much, but Ms. Nolan expanded the middle, deepening the relationship development, and added an epilogue. She basically added a little over 50% more story and the book was given a new cover and new title: TIL THERE WAS YOU. When I read "Once Upon A Wedding", I thought it was a wonderful, ...more

I first met Misty and Denver in Once Upon a Wedding. This newer, longer version is definitely better.

I love The Misfit Inn series and will be sad when Kait Nolan has told all these stories. I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina and always imagine Eden's Ridge as just being over the state line from me (that's about 25 miles).

Misty is me in my younger days - hippy-like and free flowing. Denver is an artist who doesn't know he is one. They make a perfect couple but who would think that

This is such a sweet romantic story about two people who've been hurt by "the system" and who unexpectedly find love. Set against the backdrop of Eden Ridge, Tennessee and all its quirky characters, this standalone romance features Misty and Denver. They are thrown together to make magic happen for Kennedy and Xander's wedding and wend their way through initial awkwardness, adorable dogs and noisy neighbors as they try to move past the devastating losses that caused them to run away to Eden's ...more

If you have read the rest of the Misfit Inn series, this one fits in-between the 1st and and second, but doesn't star any of the Reynolds sisters. It does have 2 sort of misfits from town Misty and Denver. Misfits in that they both are local business owners who surprisingly have histories no one in town knows...and everyone in town knows everything about everyone. With a little push, they finally get thrown together and get the time to get to know each other and as a good romance does, they fall ...more

OMG!! I’m absolutely over the Moon about this story, has everything a Meet-Cute needs. Fantastic characters, great small town environment, angsty, and a HEA that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy.

When Denver and Misty get thrown together to work on a project for the wedding of a friend, they finally get to know each other.... and sparks fly!

Just when things are going great their past has a way of opening old wounds.

I loved everything about Denver. His gruff bar owner side and his dog loving

Denver and Misty make such a cute couple. I loved how they were so awkward around each other at first. It was sweet. I also loved that the book advocated for rescuing dogs, especially seniors. Of course, the love that bloomed between Oscar and Moxie was especially sweet. I found it humorous when Denver told Misty he had to make things right between them or Oscar would never forgive him.

Denver has been admiring Misty since she moved to town a few years back. But there was not been any reason for them to spend time together, what with him being a bar owner and she being a flower shop owner. Okay folks, let's be real here has there ever been a Kait Nolan book I haven't enjoyed?

On a slightly more serious note, there is just something delightful about this short read. It could be because it's set in a small town we know from the Misfit Inn series, but I'm putting it down to the fact that our leads are 'outsiders' to the town. Okay, they've both lived there for a few years, but there's none of that everyone knows all about them stuff. Which is a change to the norm in small town reads.

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from booksprout for giving my two cents. We are back in Edens Ridge and theres a wedding to plan. Kennedy and her wedding planner ask Denver, bar owner and all around hottie to build an arch for Kennedys wedding they they both enlist Misty, local flower girl, to help make it perfect. Denver and misty have noticed one another in the past few years but are too scared to talk to one another. When thrown together to build and decorate an arch, they find out more about ...more

I always love a Kait Nolan novel and this book certainly didn’t disappoint me. Till There Was You is Misty and Denver’s love story in the Misfit Inn series. They have danced around their attraction for each other for three years, and end up working together on a wedding arbor, thanks to their well-meaning friends. But the matchmaking gets shaky when certain truths come out, leaving the reader wondering if things will ever work out for these two. This is a quick read, with no cliffhanger, and ...more

This is Denver & Misty's story. Misty is truly a "flower child", owns the local florist gift shop.
Denver is a bar keeper, owner. Two of their close friends play Cupid for them. Both were attracted to the other, but unwilling to make a move. They have to work together for an upcoming wedding, her as the florist, him as the talented woodworker.
Seems all is going well until he find out what her former job was, he runs away because of his past experiences with

I love the thought of Denver noticing Misty from afar, and the fact that as much as he might not necessarily like having the small town gossip train focused on him, he needs the intervention of friends for his relationship to have a chance. I love the thought that Misty wasn't even looking for a relationship, and this intriguing possiblity suddenly opens up... The small town setting makes it perfect: starting the story is like visiting a place you know and love. Can't wait to catch glimpses of ...more

I love all things Kait Nolan as well as involving the small town of Eden’s Ridge in her Misfit Inn series. And while I typically prefer a full length novel since I never want to put it down or for it to end, this story surpassed my expectations by leaps and bounds which speaks to Kait’s amazing writing abilities. Kait renders both Misty and Denver with such depth that the reader is immediately drawn to connect with them. And you’ve gotta love a little small-town, in your business meddling to get ...more

I had the opportunity to read the original and I think I love this version even more. This was completely adorable. A quick read filled with awe-worthy moments and some thought provoking situations. Misty and Denver may look like opposites but they're living proof that opposites attract. Both of them have some big emotional baggage that they've been trying to escape, and together they just might be the solution to each others problems. I loved this book! I can always count on Kait Nolan to bring me a story worth reading and characters that I can believe in and root for. When their friends conspire to bring Misty and Denver together, feelings get real and emotion blossoms. Misty is a strong woman who is also sweet and compassionate and Denver was actually pretty swoon worthy even though I wanted to shake him a couple of times. Their story has all the feels and is low on angst, which is what I enjoy so much about this author and ...more

A wonderful novella set in Eden Ridge (the home if the fabulous Misfits Inn series), this is an expansion of the Once Upon A Wedding (Meet Cute) short story.

Misty is the local free spirited florist and Denver is the somewhat grumpy bartender that has admired Misty from afar for some time.

Helping out together to prepare for a local wedding means they finally get to know each other and test that attraction, and discover they not only have chemistry but like and respect each too.

A great story and

I loved the expansion of Misty and Denver's story. These are great characters from the Misfit Inn series and it was a great story between them. Misty and Denver operate on the edges of each other's worlds but neither has ever found an excuse to actually interact even though they are both interested. Eventually their friends make that decision for them. As they get to know each other, their pasts refuse to stay hidden. This was a very cute novella. Misty and Denver were likable characters who had been admiring one another from afar. I liked how understanding Misty was when things weren't perfect between her and Denver. Instead of getting mad and throwing a tantrum like many heroines, she was logical and compassionate. The supporting characters added charm to the story and helped jump-start the romance between Misty and Denver. The dogs, Moxie and Oscar, were adorable additions to the story.

A sweet, sexy romance that sucked me in from the beginning, watching Misty and Denver try to overcome there pasts to see the possibilities they could have together, covers a wealth of emotions and shows that looking past the surface reveals how much in common these two have.
Thrown together to help a mutual friend, a sweet friendship makes its way to something more, id love to read more of these two, I didn’t want the book to end.

What a great return to Eden's Ridge!

Both Misty and Denver have pasts that they want to leave behind them. And while Denver has been aware of Misty for the last 3 years, he just won't let himself go there until he falls victim to some well-meaning matchmaking efforts in the form of wedding planning for someone else!

While their pasts come back to haunt them, in the end they get their happily ever after and a new lease on life.

Great characters with depth and heart, a engaging and interesting plot,

I love a Kait Nolan book especially when it revolves around the Misfit Inn series. Til There Was You is a beautifully written romantic story of two people Misty and Denver who have noticed each other for a few years but have purposely stayed away from relationships until they were put together to work on the arbor for Kennedy’s wedding. This book is heartwarming and an enjoyable read.
