Lateral Wine-Tasting

Rate this book
Shortlisted for the Glenfiddich Award, this book guides the reader through the maze of wines available fron all over the world. The book's cross-references create a network of suggested tasting which aim to build confidence in the drinker and advise how to taste and what to look for in a bottle of wine. The "taste-on" sections suggest wines for the reader to try, for example, drinkers of the classic reds of St Julien are directed towards Brunello di Montalcino, while Chardonnay fans are advised to try wines from Chile and even China. The author is one of the few women to have become a Master of Wine and her first book "The Wines of Chablis" won the Andre Simon and Glenfiddich Awards.
