Listened to the audiobook this time around and it was just as wonderful. Love reading about those two and this story was just perfect.

I originally read and reviewed this novella as a part of Christmas in the City, but I waited for it to come out as a standalone to leave the rating.

Original review, 12/2019:
I absolutely loved it. Loved reading about Wes and Jamie again. I was so happy about certain little thing that happened here, something I kind of missed in Book 2. This story was the best Christmas bookish present. Now I want to re-read Him and Us for the umpteenth time.

Epic is book #2.5 of the Him series by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. My Jamie and Wes experience has come to an end. This is the part where I’m shedding a few tears because I don’t want it to be over. I want to say, here, that I am so very glad I read Good Boy after Us and before Epic so I could get everything happening in order. Good Boy includes Wes and Jamie’s wedding and also Blake and Jessie’s story which was fantastic. I loved that in Epic, we even get a little more of Blake and Jess. They are just so adorable together. And of course, some Blake antics are included.

Wes and Jamie are living the life. Wes’s hockey career is continuing to sky rocket. Jamie loves coaching and his team is doing fantastic. Their marriage couldn’t be stronger. But changes are in the wind. No matter what comes their way, though, these two will handle it. Each other’s happiness is all that is important and they will both do whatever it takes for the other’s dreams to come true, no matter what they might be.

I have loved every page of my Wes/Jamie/Blake/Jessie journey. I have swooned, sighed, smiled, laughed out loud and celebrated for these characters. These authors working as a duo is pure magic.

“Childhood friends, to lovers, to husband and husband. Life is a beautiful thing.”

Too short. It's truly too short. It's almost cruel to give us more Wes and Jamie only for it to be this short. I need more. Give me more, please?!

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Adorable But Need More*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

First read review:
I need more. I need a full length novel. This short one is not enough of my Jamie and Wes. Seriously. As I didn't read Jess and Blake's book, I didn't get to see my boys get married, so I had actually kinda hoped that the authors would've put it in here as a bonus. That way, it'll also be longer and I'd get more of the men. I do hope sometime in the future we get another book of them where they perhaps... get kids?..... That is wanted, btw, in case the authors is reading this. Very much wanted. That being said, this was too short, as in we didn't even get a sex scene, but it was still quite enjoyable and it made me smile like crazy. These two always put me in a good mood.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (New Adult) Contemerary Romance (M/M).
Series: - Series, Book #2.5.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Both, can't choose.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Some of them.
Would I recommend this book/series? -Yes.
Will I read this again in the future? - Probably not.
Rating - 4 stars.

Is there a better way to start the day than with Wesmie and their epic bonus novella? ♡♡♡

“Kinda looks like J-Bomb,” Blake remarks.
“That kinda is J-Bomb,” […]
What the hell is happening?

“He’s giggling like a madman,” Blake tells our teammates. “Wesley’s lost it.”
“Do you blame him?” Eriksson starts laughing too. “[…] Shit this is epic.”
“Epic,” Blake echoes.

Well, that was fun!

Admitted, it was super super short (thats why I hesitated for month to buy this story). But how EPIC was it, that Jamie & Wes played Pro against each other because of that rare coincidence??!!

I loved every second of it and it was awesome to be with them again. Even though it was just for a very short amount of time.

Loved it! The audiobook was amazing. JM could read the phone book (remember them), and I would turn into a puddle of goo.

My only complaint is that it's too short, and now I want more!

Bowen and Kennedy have a way with this hockey universe, and it was pure fun and joy revisiting favorites Wes and Jamie! Established couple updates for the win!

And fucking Blake. His man child shenanigans were just the icing on an already delicious cake!

Book: Epic
Author: Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Type: Novella in Him Series
POV: First Person - Dual
Genre: MM Romance
Rating: 4 Stars!

Age: Wes - 26; Jamie - 26.

I open my mouth to ask what's on his mind, but it doesn't quite work. Because his lips land on mine, and then we're kissing. I'm not an idiot. When the love of your life wants a make-out sesh, you don't toss that aside.

Where's the rest of it?? Where? It's not enough. I want more, so much more. *crying*
It's so amazing how some authors can pack a giant punch in such a small novella. Epic was a short, sweet, adorable and steamy story. It was a perfect little peek into Wesmie's married relationship. The face-off between Wes and Jamie was epic. Once again, they both had amazing chemistry and hilarious banter that had me turning the pages right till the end. But I'm still not ready to leave Wesmie. I have a Wesmie hangover. I'm going to search for a remedy now.

Our summers at hockey camp in Lake Placid were the best of my life. It's where I fell in love with Jamie. It's where we reconnected, and where he fell in love with me. Jesus, how far we've come. Childhood friends, to lovers, to husband and husband. Life is a beautiful thing.

It was great to revisit Wes and Jamie, all happy, thriving, and as in love as ever, even after all these years!

I honestly don’t think I could ever tire of reading about these sweet, loyal, hockey loving husbands—they’re the embodiment of what all great friends-to-lovers book couples should be.

This short little treat reminded me why ‘Wesmie’ was/still are one of my favourite couples in M/M romance, ever.

I was saving this for Christmas last year but it slipped my mind but better late than never. I doubt I’ll ever get enough of these boys.

This one doesn’t necessarily scream Christmas but it does take place during the season so it still counts.

It started much like these stories are prone to do with a little bit of turmoil that brings our boys closer together. We get a little more action with them playing against each other. And we end up better off then when we began and them loving each other more than ever!

SWOON!!

Aww. This novella was exactly what I wanted it to be. It showed Wes and Jamie as a healthy, well-functioning couple without them having lost their fun side or love for each other. It’s so nice to see this series get wrapped up with them having worked through the relationship flaws they encountered in Us. I love this couple and they absolutely deserve the happy ending they are living right now.

'Him' duology:
1. Him - 5.0 stars
2. Us - 4.5 stars

Spin-off 'WAGs' series:
1. Good Boy - 3.0 stars

Love being back with Wes and Jamie! ❤️

I love these characters and was a little worried Bowen and Kennedy would mess with the HEA we finally got from 'Us', but luckily nope! This is a sweet, heartwarming, short that is sure to melt your heart if you love these characters as much as I do. Getting the audio at the same time was a cherry on top. Would recommend both book and audio 💯 as long as you've read 'Him' and 'Us' first.

Originally read this in the free Christmas in the City anthology because love me a bit of Wesmie (and Blake). However I wouldn’t exactly term this epic, more unmemorable and if I’d paid 99p for just over 40 pages according to Amazon, it may have even been 1 star instead of my generous 2.

Original Review

1000th reread: still a million stars ❤️❤️❤️

WesMie is my all time favorite couple (my username says it all) ever and everything with them is assured of at least a million stars from me. But this novella even surpassed expectations - I loved everything about it except it's length.
Been waiting for the day that they'll face each other again on ice. 😭
Reviewing my favorites is always the hardest as I just wanna roll and roll around my overflowing feels 😭 To this day, I think I've read this story at least 30 times already, I need more of them please 😭
Love how successful both of them are in their careers yet everything still works for their relationship. Love how Jamie has a great relationship with the rest of the Toronto guys and now he has his San Jose friends too. Love his colleagues, his "kids", his family...everyone! And Wes!!! No more words...I need a Wes in my life!!! It's literally like
*Jamie breathes*

Life is good.
No, it’s epic.

Freaking EPIC!!!

So aptly titled ❤️ I love Sarina and Elle, I think they’re seriously the Dream Team and they should keep writing together cause it’s seriously EPIC. I have a soft spot for Wesmie since I read an ARC of Him back in 2015. That book is in my all time Top 10, so I can seriously read about Wes and Jamie all day every day and I wouldn’t get tired, like ever. You know what else is epic? The audiobook!!! Zachary Webber aka Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton reprise their roles as Wes and Jamie and as always they’re absolutely perfect! I just loved this and everything Wesmie!

This is short and sweet and epic and I totally recommend ❤️

Utterly brilliant catch up with Wesmie

Him and Us were two of the first MM genre books I ever read and Wes and Jamie have had a special place in my heart ever since.

This was an absolutely delightful peek into life with the ice hockey star couple a few years down the line and I loved it.
