I loved the historical romance which used real characters like Beau Nash from the city of Bath (where the book takes place). Its all about a betrothal that Marjorie doesn't want and a man blackmailed by Marjorie's father into winning her heart. I loved the tricks that Marjorie would pull on her suitor to dissuade him from liking her too much, they were humerus and crafty.

Okay I did really enjoy this book BUT what a stupid fucking ‘secret’ Blake is carrying! It is so easily fixed and not nearly so world ending (as the end proved)! If they had both been honest with each other it would have saved a lot of heartache!

This book was a STRUGGLE. I think I’d try the author again, because the writing itself was well paced and enjoyable, but this plot was absurd. The big conflict/secret is DYSLEXIA?? How stupid. 300+ pages of going nowhere

Out of all the historical romances i've read this had by far the most complex words. (I often found myself searching up the meanings of words)

Wonderful book. I liked the characters. For a trashy romance novel, it was pretty awesome.
