Easy read. Better than expected. About a Native American who learns that he may not be the Indian he thought he was. A somewhat “light” journey of self discovery; not too much introspection. Not being a reader of westerns, I found the way the Indians phrased their thoughts to be a novelty. Surprisingly, there are no bad or evil characters in the book. Both the white man and Indians are all portrayed as noble characters. As the book neared its conclusion I was left wondering which way Thunder Moon would go until the final few pages.

After reading the book, I did a quick search on the author Max Brand (Frederick Faust). This author was beyond prolific. If you enjoyed this story, you have hundreds more to chose from by this author.
