Ten full-color pop-up illustrations introduce Filippo Brunelleschi, the sculptor, engineer, and architect who developed the theory of perspective and designed and built the Cathedral of Florence.
You can’t go wrong with this if you love pop-up books and the architecture of Florence! Brunelleschi was a genius and this is a wonderful introduction to him.
I love colorful and 3-D books! So how can you go wrong with a biography that includes both! Waiting for Filippo is about Filippo Brunelleschi, Renaissance architect/artist/engineer.
This book would make a great introduction to the history of the Renaissance time period. Even though it includes very colorful, 3-D illustrations, I would read this with all my students, even the high schooler. What a fun way to learn information on a man who gave so much to our modern-day architecture.
