One thing that Mitch dreaded the most was coming out to his family but now he is being forced to do it because his mother is relentless trying to set him up on a date with a nice girl, just one date, or maybe two, or ...more

I hated the first half of this book.
All those dreams were getting to my nerves!
And the way it ended was so lame..
It was a terrible plot.

The second half was much better.
It actually reminded me of the first book, which I loved so much.
It's nice to finally see Sam making some good decisions.

The last sentence of the book is "And hopefully I'm done with all the drama".
Yes. Please be done with it.
Because I am.

Books 3.1 (First Days In College) and 3.2 (Christmas with Mitch) were vast improvements over Book 2 (Dirty Dancing), but they are still tainted by the legacy of their prequel. 3.1 earns 3/5 stars due to Sam's lack of true character development. 3.2 earns 5/5 stars, surpassing even Book 1 (Sixteen Candles), due to more rounded portrayals and complex storylines. 3.1 would have been better if the Sam's mistakes in Book 2 were adequately acknowledged rather than rationalized. Overall, Book 3 somehow ...more

Sam's drama continues

There's definitely a love triangle do Sam, Mitch and Jake. Well, maybe not a triangle but Sam loves both of them and they both love Sam. Bathroom crying and Christmas "entertain" us this time around. 3.3 for Christmas jumpers.

This is the book we have all been waiting for. You know, the fans of Sam Dorsey? The young man torn between two men, Mitch and Jake? The same young man we saw celebrating his sixteenth birthday and dirty dancing? Well, he's back and we fans are getting a glimpse of a whole lot of changes. Best news is, there are

Like the first-two books, I really liked this one. It's full of humor and we get attached to the characters quickly.
However, there were some elements that came too easily in the story, the background was not developped enough, and the whole story is too short (two parts, 107 pages in all). I'm looking forward to reading the next one!

Another great reminder!

This book,as well as the previous ones remind me of all the angst of life and love. Being gay in a small town was not easy. Sam has had 2 hot guys after him, made his mistake, suffered and..........well, you will have to read the books too see what happens!!
They are well worth the time!!

I really just skimmed through the first part. I got tired of the repetitive dream. If you read it then you will know what I am talking about. The second story was more interesting and I was a little surprised by the ending because Sam usually gets everything and acts very selfishly.
