The opening of this book hooked me right away. The pacing was intense all the way through, from the suspense to the romance. The heroine is strong and smart. The hero is fighting for an excellent cause, and even though these two seem to be on opposite sides, their passion can't be denied. They are both admirable and the story is gripping from beginning to end. ...more

Simply put a page turner from start to finish. The story moves along a brisk pace while keeping you wondering about the outcome. The characters are alive and energetic, making it impossible to not empathize with them. The intense action right out of the gate gets your blood racing and it’s obvious the author is either well researched or very familiar with the area because the entire book is very authentic. A must read book.

Tender Misdemeanors by Alana Lorens is gripping. Set in Montana, I learned a lot about eco-terrorists, something I knew nothing about until reading her novel. The setting reminded me of when I lived for a short time in Oregon, so I found myself drawn to the descriptions immediately. I found her characters, both flawed and strong, alternately, captivating. It had everything a romance should have. But several aspects of the book, in addition to the engaging love story, kept me engaged. I kept gues ...more

Great story. Romance and drama wonderfully blended together. The premise is a fresh twist on the outlaw and lawman trope. The story is set in Montana, but there's not a rancher or cowboy in sight. Instead this fast-paced story has eco-terrorists and murder. The characters are likeable and well fleshed out. The story pulled me in from the beginning and kept me interested with layers of unfolding drama that kept me guessing.
The book was given to me as an advance reader copy, and this is my true a
