Sometimes one has to break rules in order to find happiness…
Widower Logan Hendrix is puzzled by the recent series of small crimes against his son’s new teacher. It’s a mystery to him, and he offers her his help. There’s an instant attraction, and Logan wants to take their parent/teacher relationship to a more personal level.
It doesn’t take Addison Ryker long to fall in love with Alinta Bay, the small town she’s moved to for her new teaching position at the local primary school. Her newfound haven is threatened, however, when her house is broken into and she is relying on the unbelievably stubborn but very sexy Logan for help. Although captivated by him, Addison worries her career could be compromised, because there are rules about dating a parent.
Iris Blobel writes warm, sexy, and sometimes witty Australian Contemporary Romance books for readers who, like herself, still strongly believe in love and Happily Ever Afters. And she knows HEAs. Her couples are hungry for life, done with the past, passionate about family, and emotionally hopeful for a future. The stories are mainly set in Australia but also in New Zealand and even the US, depending on where her travels take her. She loves nothing more than for her readers to join her on her journeys.
It's my first time reading a book by this author, so I didn't know what to expect. This is a sweet and delightful, small town romance. The book is very well written with an entertaining and interesting storyline. The character definition was great, with endearing and sweet characters you can't help but love. It's a story that will leave you with a smile on your face when you get to the end, and make you wish there was more to read. If you like sweet small town romances, I highly recommended this one!
I was given a free copy of this book by the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A great story she moved for a fresh start. New job, new house, new people. She escaped a bad situation. She loved her new town and home. But this first year came with terrible challenges
