The Fog Ladiesby Susan McCormick is a delightful cosy mystery that turned out to be a really pleasant read. This is my first book by the author, so obviously I had no idea what to expect from the book, though the blurb totally compelled me to pick this one up. So I dove in this book unknowing and, to be honest, it felt good for a change. Thankfully, the story turned out to be an absolute delight and I enjoyed it every bit.

The delightful bickering of the old ladies, the delicious references to

When Sarah James moved into the Pacific Heights apartment building, the last thing she expected to be doing is looking for clues to finger a murderer. She’s working overtime completing her medical residency at a local San Francisco hospital. But the Fog Ladies, as they’re affectionately known in her building, are dead set there’s something sinister going on. These deaths and accidents are no coincidence and just because the victims are elderly doesn’t mean they deserve to die. But who could it ...more

The Fog Ladies is a murder mystery set in an old San Francisco building converted years ago into residences. Renovations are taking place to update and modernize the building. There are many characters starting with a new medical intern who will be there through her residency. The fog ladies are a group of older and elderly women, distinct and quirky so you come to love them or hate them. Other characters are added as the book continues and the author develops them perfectly as well. Murder and ...more

I love cozy mysteries featuring senior and this one was excellent.
The mystery is well crafted and it kept me guessing, the cast of characters is likeable and well fought, the setting is interesting.
I look forward to reading other books by author, possibly featuring this characters.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This was such a fun, light read. It was the characters that stood out for me. Each one was unique and came to life from the pages as they tried to figure out who (if anyone) was murdering women in their building. It made me hope to have such a good group of friends when I'm old and gray. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Sarah and Mrs. Noonan because few young people go out of their way to get to know senior citizens, and I found it inspiring.

Not only did I love the mystery aspect of The Fog Ladies, I really loved the relationship between the feisty old ladies and the young, hard-working intern. The author did a great job with the setting and I really felt like I was in San Francisco. This book is a fun who-dun-it with a wonderful cast of characters and an intriguing mystery. Satisfying ending too. Highly recommend.

An ominous suspicion creeps into the minds of the resident ladies at the Pacific Heights apartment building as they watch the fog bank inch its way over the Golden Gate Bridge. There had been a number of grave accidents in their building recently. It’s suspicious. None of the group nicknamed The Fog Ladies, are as nimble as they used to be, but they’re smart and compassionate, and determined to solve this mystery. After all, they’d called this building home for decades, and the next “accident” ...more

Sarah James is doing her medical residency at a San Francisco hospital. She is given an apartment in the same building as the group of women dubbed the Fog Ladies and grows fonder of them with every passing day. They are old and quirky, outspoken and most of them kind. But lately there have been accidents among the group. And a few deaths – are they just at the age where falls can be fatal or is someone methodically murdering these old ladies?

Getting old isn’t easy. The Fog Ladies expected sore

The title and the cover of this book were immediately appealing to me.
It’s a well written mystery, but for me it might have too many characters. In the beginning I had a hard time keeping track of who is who. But as soon as I got into reading it I understood all the characters had a role to play to make this book a nice mystery read.
I love Mrs. Noonan, I need a neighbour like her, actually I think we all need a neighbour like her!
From the beginning of the book I had suspicions of what might be

Why would anyone want to harm the Fog Ladies?

The Fog Ladies are certainly an interesting cast of characters! This diverse group of women is by far my favorite part of the book. Some of the women are more likable than others. My favorites are Mrs. Noonan and Mrs. Gordon. Mrs. Noonan is such a steadying influence within the group. She is very level headed and a much-needed source of comfort for Sarah as she struggles through her internship. Mrs. Noonan is also a wonderful cook and shares her

I received this book from Netgalley and have written an honest review.
A quick and interesting read, Some violence but not too graphic. Have to say I solved the puzzle long before the end but continued reading to find out how the author tied things up. It really was a cost mystery.

A very entertaining murder mystery. Susan McCormick has developed a community of like minded women of a certain age who join together to solve the numerous suspicious deaths in the apartment complex. Since no one will believe that these deaths could be murder, they draft a young woman into their investigation. The interaction between the two very different generations sets the tone for their hunt for answers. This is a quick read that will keep you reading to see what The Fog Ladies will do ...more

This book is considered a "cozy" mystery...I disagree! The only thing "cozy" about it is, maybe, the story is all about a group of aging women. It is simply a great mystery! The women are close friends who are suddenly hit with unresolvable deaths and sickness. Something is going on and they can't figure out what. The youngest member of the group Sarah, is an intern at a nearby hospital, she tries very hard to stay out of their hunt for someone causing all their pain and anguish but she is ...more

Are people dying in this building because of old age? Or, is something more sinister going on? Meet the Fog Ladies. Six elderly women who’s life might be cut short a little early.
I loved this book. The characters were so likable, faults and all. I didn’t want to put the book down!

The Fog Ladies is a cozy murder mystery with a cast of elderly sleuths and many possible suspects all co-mingling in a San Francisco apartment building. Each potential murderer has a reason to kill, from a bitter widower to an angry teen. I enjoyed their stories, but most of all I enjoyed the old lady characters, each unique and interesting and fun, including one with a wonderful side story involving Starbucks lattes. The dialogue is witty and authentic. I could hear these ladies talking, often ...more

The Fog Ladies is the first book in the new A San Francisco Cozy Murder Mystery series. This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it! The Fog Ladies are charming, quirky characters and the knowledge that someone is killing off their friends makes them determined to find the killer along with help from Sarah. This is a wonderful well-written story with humour, suspense, twists and turns, danger, and a Starbucks-addicted elderly person.

I cannot wait to read more in this

I received this ebook as a Goodreads Giveaway.

Although somewhat predictable, this was an easy, enjoyable read. Sarah is an intern at a hospital in San Francisco. The hospital keeps several standing apartments for interns and deducts the rent from the interns's pay. Sarah's apartment is in a building that also houses several elderly tenants, including a group of women who have been dubbed "the fog ladies". Within a short period of time, some of the elderly women die. The first had cancer. Others

A cozy little mystery about a group of elderly ladies who live in an upscale apartment building in San Francisco. Enter Sarah, a new tenant who is an over worked medical resident. The ladies draw her in for some mystery solving. It was a delightful, light, easy to read story. I am not a huge fan of mystery, but this one hit the spot! Thanks to the publisher and Net Galley for the opportunity.

The fog ladies are the best! Sarah makes time to find out what is going on and since the Fog Ladies and Sarah are on the case, surely the mystery will be solved. But I could not figure it out until the end with all of the twists and turns. Great mystery! Excellent read.
