It's 2096, sixty years after ninety percent died from a man-made Bioplague. Humanity has splintered into four unequal subspecies: immortals, cyborgs, enhancers, and subservient half-human, half-animal hybrids.

The world is anything but equal. Hybrids everywhere are suffering, but sixteen-year-old Raek Mekorian, a wolfish with a nose for trouble, doesnt see an alternative.

thank you to the author, Matt Ward, for reaching out and providing a digital arc in exchange for an honest review

Cynetic Wolf is a fast-paced, post apocalyptic, dystopian YA fantasy. We follow Raek, a 16 year old Wolf hybrid who just want to live his life until his sister gets murdered, and the rest of his family get taken, his world dramatically changes in the blink of an eye. The world is set in 2096, where the norm is humans are half breed with animal genes, and the world is no longer as we

This was a really fast paced and exciting book. The story followed Raek over quite a short period of time as he tried to figure out what was happening and how he could change the world. In this time, he went through a lot. There was constant action. None of the pages felt like they were just there to fill time which was nice. There were also constant twists in the book. Nothing ever went how you would predict. I really enjoyed this book and it ended in a place that has left me excited for the ...more

Cynetic Wolf was post-apocalyptic, YA, science fiction set in 2096, revolved around 16-year-old Reak who found out he was a mix breed and how that changed his life. It was about oppressive government, insurgency, war, politics, friendship, love, betrayal, and fighting for better future and unity with chosen one trope.

Writing was good with to the point style that take us right into the world of genetic engineering, cybernetics and controlling

What I Loved:
Cynetic Wolf was such a fast-paced story! It felt like from page one, I was immersed in this world and in the middle of the story. If you are looking for something that immediately grabs your attention and doesnt let go, this is the book!

How I Felt:

This is a Post-Apocalyptic Action Fantasy with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in. It is the story of a suppressed majority in rebellion against an authoritarian government that controls the population by the traditional Orwellian mixture of propaganda, subterfuge and armed force. The population is made up of several different offshoots of the human race, which made things a little mixed up at the beginning. Too many new concepts that werent explained quite well enough: animotes, emulite ...more

Cynetic Wolf is #1 of the Wolfish series.

Set in 2096, this is a post apocalyptic YA fantasy tale in which Raek,16 and a wolf hybrid lives a quiet life.

But then his sister is murdered and his parents are abducted,

People are now routinely a mix of human and animal genes and the world is a very different place to live.

This is a coming of age fantasy tale as Raek has to grow up quickly and deal with life and its many challenges. The pressure on him is immense. Can he rise to the challenge and help
