Lovely paranormal, one of my new fave f/f romances. Verity Friday (leather jacket & boots, tattoos, witch) runs into Lia (corporate polish, lawyer) outside a bookshop. (I'm a sucker for oops you spilled my coffee meet-cutes apparently!) Verity's used to living for other people, being the anchor for her magical family; is this a chance to have something for herself? There's a curse, and some righteous justice, and Verity and Lia just like each other sooooo much.... Really good stuff. Can't ...more

Its so difficult for me to find f/f stories that feel authentic to my experience- who would think I would find it in a lovely story about witches. This was wonderful and Id love to read more.
2.5* rounded up. Very sweet f/f urban fantasy story, low on conflict or really, any conflict, but I was in the mood for some uncomplicated fluff, so it worked. Some evocative imagery in here ("Lights came on around them, a ball gown sewn with electric gems"), though I think if the story had been any longer, the overstuffed prose would've started to grate. 3.5 Stars for this gentle short tale of serendipity, love, and a bit of magic.

This was warm and utterly lovely; a beautifully written novella in a larger world. It's a f/f romance following a chance meeting, an offer of help and some delightfully satisfying outcomes. I thought the magic system was interesting and I'm definitely looking forward to reading Noone's other works; I highly rec this. (Technically follows an earlier book about the protagonist's brother but I found it perfectly easy to follow without having read that yet.)
