Oh my goodness! I love Emmie so much. When I read the first one I fell in love with her and Nick. This fun YA Historical fiction takes you back and forth between 16th Century Tudor England and present day New England.

Now that Emmie has chosen to stay with Nick things start to get real. She's going to be the Queen of England which is a role she never thought she'd ever find herself in. She is thrust into the world wind of court life while Nick is off trying to keep the peace after breaking of a

I have loved 'Emmie and the Tudor King' and this beautiful sequel is a fine addition to a wonderful series. Starting directly from where the first book ended here we see Emmie embarking through new challenges as the betrothed of King Nicholas. But as all the time travel tales establish, life as a royal is not a fairytale. It's always exciting to travel to the past when you know what the future brings, but if you don't have some magic tricks up your sleeve this is going to be a perilous journey i ...more

I loved the first book in the series, and I’m very happy to say that the sequel did not disappoint!! I’m desperately hoping for a third book now, because I’m just not ready to say goodbye to the characters yet!
If you love romance and history, this story is for you!!

Received an ARC in exchange for a review.

After finishing Emmie and the Tudor King, I could hardly wait to read this. And oh my goodness it was so cute! I love a good time travel romance and Tudor history, so this book was perfect for me. This novel finds Emmie and Nick returning to 1580 to officially introduce Emmie as the future queen. Which does not go well. Emmie has a court filled with people who want to see her head on a pike and starts to realize that maybe life as a renaissance queen isn'

Whew! Talk about romance! Why can't I be lucky enough to find a King like Nick 😍 (Don't tell my husband, kidding hes great too)

So I highly suggest reading this as soon after you finish the first book, or you may have to go back to read.

I just want to say, in the Historical Fiction world there a few that feature time travel. One of the most famous being Outlander. But Murray as an author sets out to where you dont feel it is a comparison or

A brilliant sequel that lives up to EATTK.
I love that this story picks up the moment the first ends. I was dying to know what would happen to Emmie & Nick and didn’t want to miss a day of their relationship.
The story delves not only into the ups and downs of their lives as a couple, but also the pitfalls of changing the past. Murray’s writing IS the magic ring that makes you feel like you’re living in Tudor England right along with the characters.
And the twist... it was so brilliantly unexpec

#1.) Emmie and the Tudor King ★★★★

My rating: ★★★.5

This is the second book in the Hearts and Crowns series by Natalie Murray. We again follow Emmie Grace as she tries to find her way in not only a 16th-century world but also a royal Tudor court. Her and King Nick are still helplessly in love but is that enough to survive the savage beheadings and a growing rebellion?

I found this book slow to start but it really pick

I loved this sequel so much! I really enjoyed the first book, Emmie and the Tudor King, but I wound up enjoying this one even more. If you love Tudor England, time travel, and romance, you’ll definitely love this book! Natalie has way of drawing you into her stories, and you feel like you’re living in that world.

The story starts off right where the first book left off. Emmie and Nick head back to England to announce

I was a bit nervous because as a non-native English speaker I was afraid that it would be difficult for me to fully understand a novel with historical content. As it turns out, my fear was totally unfounded. Emmie and The Tudor Queen is in fact a very easy book to read and enjoy. This book has made me scream and cry. I really enjoyed it, my gosh. If you enjoy romance novels, time travel and the Renaissance period, this book is for you. One of the most positive features of this book is that even ...more

While it's stated this could be read as a standalone I highly do not recommend it. I attempted it to see if this could be the case and found myself utterly lost a few chapters in. I ended up going back and reading the first book then immediately diving into the second.

I loved the first book for it's unique premise I did question how the second book would hold up. What it came down to though was Emmie changed her mind a TON. Yes she loved Nick but she wanted to go back to the present with him. Th

Emmie and The Tudor Queen is a book of outstanding calibre. Much like the first book in the series, its pacing is quick and brilliant. Simple, yet effective, the plot is well-executed, and the intrigue holds you hostage and makes you want to devour it in a single setting.
Once again, Emmie is remarkably well written, her witty charm and insecurity making her feel all the more real.
The time travel is another added bonus. And as a Tudor history

Emmie and the Tudor Queen was such a fun and enjoyable ride.

I was so honored to be offered an arc in exchange of an honest review and this book did not disappoint. There’s definitely more growth and learning in this book as Emmie goes through challenges and facing being torn in two different directions with her heart in one world and her family in another. I love the growth we see in Emmie from Book one to Two. She’s so much stronger in this book and the same goes for our King Nick.

My opinion about this sequel...

It’s was AMAZING you guys!!!🤩
If you’re like me, and enjoy time-traveling books, romance, mystery and magic all wrapped in one “Outlander” style, then you’re absolutely gonna LOVE this “Hearts and Crowns” series!🥰
Emmie is much more strong and confident in this new book and her relationship with Nick is also getting better and better! We get to see some characters from the previous book and meet some new ones that will add to the tension and drama that it’s living in

Don't walk, run and order this book NOW! If you read Emmie and the Tudor King, then stepping back into the world that Natalie has created will be more than satisfying. Watching Emmie grow up as she faces the challenges of love not only in a different time and land but while also feeling her pull for home and her family is so satisfying. I enjoyed the new characters who were introduced and fell in love with the ones from the first book all over again. Nat has a way of drawing you into her stories ...more

Living in these dark times, not knowing exactly when we will see the restrictions lifted, reading is the best escape. In the sequel to the first book, Natalie brings us back into Emmie’s world and just when you think you know what’s going to happen, it doesn’t. Something even greater does.

When I finished this book last night before bed, I was giddy as a school girl and praying that the author gives us at least one more in this series.

With just the basics info of book one, I still understood almost everything that happened in book two. The main characters were very likeable (most of the time). Sometimes I felt like Emmie was a bit selfish, but she admits that herself too. Natalie Murray did a great job describing Emmie’ life in the sixteenth-century that the modern day scenes felt a bit foreign sometimes. What I really liked was when Emmie received some piece of JUICY information. Nearing the end, my mind was screaming, “NOOO ...more

This book is full of romance, history, and adventure. I loved the way the author weaved lots of historical details into the story. The romance is believable (everything is not perfect all the time), and the story is fast-paced.

Emmie has a strong voice and a great sense of humor. And I couldn’t help but wonder while reading, could one really be willing to give up the modern life for love? It definitely has some Outlander vibes (just on a YA level). I think fans of the Princess Diaries books as we

I love love loved this book and I am so upset that I now have to wait for the third book. Poor Emmie is trying so much to fit in to Tudor England and trying to make everyone happy. I love her courage and determination to stay with the man she loves. At quite a few points I do question Nick's actions which made me feel he really doesn't deserve Emmie. The ending was just spectacular though. Every YA time travel fan needs to read these books!! ...more

This was one of the most amazing books i read!! I loved the first book in this series, but this one made me lose my breath and my heart beat fast!!
In this book Emmie is oficcially introduced as the future Queen in the Tudors Court, living her love story. But, not everyone likes that, so her life is in danger, with a court filled with people who wants her head on a pike. I really enjoyed the plot twists, and the fact that the book ends, where Emmie and Nick first met. But, please, tell me that w

Emmie and the Tudor Queen is the stunning sequel to 2019, Emmie and the Tudor King. The latter was one of my favourite reads of last year and I was excited to fall back into the same world and immerse myself with the characters I’d come to love. It did not disappoint as it integrated another one of my favourite things, history and in particular, Tudor history! If you haven’t read the first book you may want to stop here, or if you are happy with some mild spoilers, feel free to read on!

Thank you author Natalie Murray for the ARC! Emmie and the Tudor Queen is book number 2 in the Hearts and Crowns series. I remember feeling so much love for the first book, Emmie and the Tudor King, that I was beyond delighted to get my hands on this sequel!

Lots of heart tugging and heart wrenching moments in this book, and Nick is as swoon worthy as ever. I feel that the romance factor was not as much in this book, and it was more about Emmie’s development. But Nick has still got my heart.
