Screams. Flames. Shivering alone in the bitter Alaskan night – That’s all I can remember from before.

I don’t know where I came from or who I am, and I’m fairly certain I don’t want to. I am absolutely certain about Andi Campbell, though; she’s my light at the end of the tunnel, but I can’t tell her that.

Most of True, Alaska, still shuns me because I won’t speak, but not Th

Well dang it all -- I had a review drafted and then it disappeared. I do not know what happened and I'm not a happy camper. So I'm going to pout and feel sorry for myself. Anyhoo, below are just a few of the best parts for me while reading the second installment of True Alaskans.

But I did enjoy Boone and Andi's book very much. My favorite part was learning more about a little lost boy digging through a garbage bin found by a woman wanting to help. Seeing that little boy who said very few words a

Yeah – the Campbells are back!

If you haven’t read True North, the first read in this series, stop what you are doing, back away from the book and do that right now. Why would you do that when this reads as a standalone? Connor, Lilah, Boone, Andi, LuAnn, Marcus, Dick, Sura… Oh yeah, there are a whole host of reasons and you don’t want to miss one tension and drama-filled moment of them…

The Campbells should be filed under the word complicated in any modern dictionary. And their relationships even

True Gold was such a great book. I was happy with how it ended. When I heard there was going to be a second book, I was elated but reserved at the same time. This book is a book that I didn't know I was missing in my life. I am so glad Pace decided to write it.

Boone, Boone, Boone. The quiet, elusive, mountain man. I am so happy to have his story and a happy ending all the way around for him. Love and vengeance has never been better.

Midnight Son is written in present tense with small flashbacks t

A stoic hero with selective mutism and a very traumatic past is an appealing feature of “Midnight Son”, by Michelle Pace (Tule Publishing), where two people who were close friends since childhood finally get their HEA.
These premises were alluring to me and I liked Boone and Andi, their relationship and their friendships.
There’s a sort of a paradox here because, since the story is written in first person dual POV, our hero co

This book was everything I didn’t know I was missing. No lie.
I love Ms. Pace’s writing but, I wasn’t super thrilled about Boone and Andi’s story. Just how I felt. That being said, it’s Michelle Pace. I was going to read it regardless.
In true Pace fashion, I was immediately sucked in to these characters lives. I absolutely love the way she intertwines everyone’s lives and how she keeps you constantly guessing. There were times where the suspense got a bit much, but in all honesty, that’s what m

This book is a standalone in a series. I have not read book one, and did just fine with the dynamics. Would it have been better to read book one first, maybe, it might give you a little bit more back story by it is surrounding another couple.

Boone found himself alone and scrounging for food in True Alaska. Very little memory from his past. But when Mrs. Campbell takes him home and tries to find him some answers, he connects with her daughter Andi right away. Before he knows it he is part of the

When I read True Gold, the first book in the True Alaskans series, I was intrigued by Boone and his story but I had no idea the dynamics of it and the power it had to grip my mind and hold on to it. I was fully invested in this story and could not put this book down. I will try not to give you many details because seeing them unfold as you read this amazing book is part of the joy of devouring the story.

When Boone comes to the Campbell family as a child, Andi declares him “My Boone”. Here we are

I don't think there's a book by Michelle Pace that I haven't enjoyed. While most have romance to them, they also have something more.
With Midnight Son, we get more intrigue and thrill that was experienced with True Gold, and all the sexy and angst you want.
Andi and Boone are complex characters. Having been raised together, they were always closer than just best friends. As they aged, Andi felt an inexplicable pull toward Boone and realized that her feelings were romantic. After time and time aga

I was not aware that this was book two of a series when I received this copy of this book. Had I been aware the start may have been easier for me to get a handle of, as I was a little bit confused with the Delilah/Lilah name changing. The start if full of people and character with a lot of information to grab onto but I am also a shift worker so it may have just been my mental frame of mind at the time. I was glad I stuck with it as the story started to grab me as did the setting, Alaska I am al ...more
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. I was initially hesitant to read this as I hadn’t read the first book and I was feeling a bit lost. I stopped and bought the first book, read it and then read Midnight Son.This was a wise choice. This was an amazing series. I loved all the interactions between the same core group of characters in both books. I loved reading the backstory of Andi and Boone through both of their points of view.

I started reading MIDNIGHT SON as soon as I finished TRUE GOLD. It wasn't that the 1st book couldn't be read as a standalone. But because I just wanted more, especially when I learned it was Boone & Andi Campbell's story.

Welcome to True, Alaska. Population 1,769. Midnight Son with a Side of Smiles.
This is the sign that greeted a young boy. He was lost and alone. Dirty, hungry and cold.
All he remembered was his name was Boone. His luck was changed for the better, when he was searching in a dumpst

Life isn’t always what you think it is. People aren’t always who you think they are. And in an instant, your entire world can change.

Boone and Andi grew up together but they weren’t related. Boone was found living on the streets and scrounging for food in True, Alaska. He didn’t know who he was or where he came from. LuAnn, Andi’s mother, took him in and raised him as family. Even though Boone was mute, him and Andi became very close. Andi always knew what he wanted to say or do. As Boone and A

Midnight Son is the second story in the True Alaskans series and brings us Boone and Andi’s story. Told in the point of view of both Boone and Andi, it is also full of flashbacks that will bring Boone’s past into his present and answer questions he cannot remember the answers to. Boone’s choice to not speak has affected how the townspeople of True, Alaska treated him in the past and even now. But not Andi, she has always been his champion, his friend and his one true

I was hooked to the True Alaskans series after reading True Gold (Book 1), and while I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough during that story, this one didn't quite have the insane pace. Maybe it's the singular POV of Boone, I really felt like I absolutely needed Andi's POV thrown in since inner monologues tend to really give stories that extra edge at the end of the day, especially since she & Boone were so intertwined. There were twists & turns as the puzzle was being put together piece by p ...more

Midnight Son by Michelle Pace builds on the first book in the series in that it is Andi’s sister, Delilah’s wedding for the setting. The past haunts Boone, only is it true or just nightmares? It is also Andi’s story whose love and loyalty to Boone are evident from beginning to end. It is that unyielding faith that made this a compelling read.
While this is the second in a series with True Gold being the first, it stands well on its own for those who have not read the first book. The Alaskan setti

This is my first book by this author but I will definitely be buying the first book in this series "True Gold" as I want more

Boone was raised as Andi's brother her mother took him in when he was found alone and hungry in the streets of True Alaska He was deeply traumatised and has never spoken a word but the bond between him and Andi meant that she always knew what he was "Saying" Now as they are growing older the attraction between them is growing but will they act on it. Midnight Son is a standalone, you don't HAVE to read True Gold before reading this one, but I highly recommend that you do.

Boone cannot remember his horrific past, but that doesn't mean he's not affected by it. Andi has some nightmarish memories she's dealing with as well. Together they've always found peace and safety, but that all changed one night, and this is their story. It's gritty and raw, and as is usual for Michelle Pace, it takes you on a twisted ride that will sometimes leave you gasp

Instantly hooked on Boone’s story I could not put it down. We know the Boone from True Gold, quiet and rarely verbal, but a good guy and friend. There’s a huge part of his life he doesn’t remember or understand. This is how he finds out the answers, but they weren’t easy to get. It’s a suspenseful adventure in the midst of Lie and Connor’s wedding. The tale is woven beautifully with some memories and moments triggered by different things. Boone is the guy who intimidates men but women swoon at h ...more

I absolutely loved True Gold and couldn't wait for Boone's story in Midnight Son. Michelle Pace did not disappoint!! While you know Boone is a man of few words he has one hell of a story to tell. Andi and Boone are the perfect couple. I loved Andi's sassy mouth and Boone's alpha tendencies. This book is so much more than a romance novel. You will definitely enjoy this thrilling ride of twist and turns!! ...more

I was lucky enough to read a beta copy of Midnight Son. This is Boone's story, this is Andi's story, this is Boone and Andi's story with a sprinkle of Conner and Lie. Fire, screams, memories, is it all real or just a really bad dream? You have to add Midnight Son to your TBR list to find the answers. In the meantime if you haven't read the first book in the series True Gold go right now and get it read it! ...more

Although this book is the second in a series, it could easily be read without having first read True Gold. Conner and Delilah are planning their wedding, but this book is actually the story of Boone and Andi. Boone starts having dreams about his past which is largely unknown. But when he arrives at the wedding venue the truth starts to unravel. The author does a great job of pulling the reader into the saga. A great book and read.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series. Andi & Boone don’t have quite the same draw as Connor & Delilah did for me, but I still very much enjoyed their story. I love the setting of Alaska & the way the books bring that to you. I look forward to future installments of the characters of True, Alaska.
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book for a honest opinion.

Midnight Son by Michelle Pack. Book 2 in the True Alaskans series.
Part mystery with a little bit of possible romance.
This book took me awhile to get into but once I do it was a good story.
