It was supposed to be business.
Two families, one wedding, zero emotion.

My fathers mafia outfit had saved my life.
I owed them everything.
An arranged marriage was hardly a sacrifice when I would have already been long dead had it not been for them.

I would give up my independence for the Lucciano Family.
I would bind myself to the man whose family tore my life to pieces.

I was super lucky and won an ARC from Jill through a Facebook Giveaway 😍

So, I'm a sucker for an enemies to lovers book, I love an arranged marriage and then throw an age gap in there and this book was right up my street!

"This was a business arrangement, not an episode of The Bachelor."

I was curious about Maria from the few interactions between her sisters in previous books, and was very intrigued by Matteo from the brief glimpse we got of him in the first book, and then their surprise

I really enjoyed this book. I have read the others in the series and each one is even better than the last. This is an arranged marriage book. The joining of two families that haven't been on the best of terms for a long time. Matteo is hot as sin and a perfect match for Maria even if she hates to admit it. I think Maria is one of my favorite characters that I've read in a long time. She's tough, but not afraid to show her softer side when needed. It was great seeing the other characters from ...more

Well this was a really steamy surprise!! This is my first book by Jill Ramsower, I won it as an ARC in the Peppers Playground group on fb and I couldnt be happier that I got this chance to know and fall in love with another author who can hypnotize me with her Mafia Romance writing!!

Maria is one of the princess daughters of mafia, but shes nothing like you would expect her to be, shes strong, independent and has a place in the outfit, shes known as the Ice Queen

He told me that he saw past my darkness and jagged scars-beneath the vile parts of me I wanted desperately to throw away-and he wanted all of it. The beauty of who I was underneath and the complexity of the woman I showed to the world. As if the ugly wasnt there, and all he saw was perfect grace.

Ok I have to admit, I usually dont read many mafia romance books, but I love Maria and Mateos story. Maria had secrets. She kept those secrets hidden from her family and husband. She is a strong and self

OMG! I've read all three books now in the Five Families series, and I have to say that this one was my favorite! Maria and Matteo!!

Maria and Matteo are set to be married, an arranged marriage, to try to create peace among the Five Families, as they have been essentially at war for the past several years. Shockingly, both realizing their duty, don't put up really any fight to the nuptials and actually try to make the best of it...for the most part. They both have secrets that they keep close to

Blood Always is another Fantastic Edition to Jill Ramsower Five Families Series. We finally get the story of Maria Genovese. She is the oldest sister, but also the most mysterious of them all. She will do whatever it takes to keep her family safe and marrying a rival family member will be the ultimate sacrifice.
Matteo DeLuca is an Underboss Of The Gallo Family and when it comes to keeping the peace among the families Matteo will do what it takes to pave a way to a smooth transition and if

Blood Always is an arranged marriage mafia romance. It was very well written. Matteo is powerful, dominant, and protective. Whereas Maria is is strong-willed, sarcastic, and independent. She also comes off as fearless, but as you come to learn she is not completely fearless as no one really is. This book was full of suspense and there was even a twist toward the end that I did not see coming. This book is a standalone, but there are two other books prior to this and now I can't wait to go back ...more

I won an ARC of this book and even though the author didnt request I read and review, I wanted to. I am a stickler for series reading order, though, so I had to read the first two before I could get to this one. I am so glad I did. While they can all be read as stand-alones, the story of the Five Families world is built upon in each book. I can also confirm that each story is better and better than the one before. I loved Matteo and Maria. I loved how their relationship developed. And I loved ...more

I loved this book! The characters were good! It is a stand-alone but there are 2 books previous to this one so there are some *spoilers* or whatever you wanna call em to the previous books in this one! Anyways, good story! A little angsty. I loved Matteo and I liked Maria too. Maria was strong and secretly vulnerable and I actually resonated with her a little bit. Matteo was dangerous and sexy and I just wanted so much more of him!! Now that Ive finished this one, Im heading straight to the ...more

Jill Ramsower is now my newly found favorite author! Blood always was brilliant, sexy, and emotional (yes, I cried at one point). Maria & Matteo had a sizzling chemistry that kept me wanting more. I was honestly surprised because Im not one for mafia romances, but this book was so well written. I couldnt put this book down, reading it in one night. Now to binge Jill Ramsowers back catalog of books. ...more

Matteo and Marias story is beautiful. She is tormented by the past and wants revenge against the family who killed her brother. An arranged marriage and all her walls are about to crumble. Matteo wants those walls to crumble because he knows together they would be a force to reckon with. Excellent writing. ...more

Maria & Matteo are a meeting of fire & ice. Their distinct differences have way for some great banter, as well as a ton of growth for each character. Their passion burned each page, until it simply couldnt be contained anymore.
I love an enemies to lovers, and this gave me exactly what I craved, and kept me turning page after page to find out what was coming next.

    Fantastic!

I loved Matteo and Maria's book! They had a rough ride full of emotion and awesome banter but it was worth it for one of the best HEAs I've read.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

Okay, so first: everyone read books 1 & 2 because book 3 will NOT disappoint!

I have been a huge fan of Jill since the very beginning, and I have to say, this is by far the best one I've read! Mafia, romance, suspense, lies, secrets, blood, arranged marriage - it's all there and it's everything I hoped it would be! If you're a fan of mafia romance, you do NOT want to miss out on this one.

I swear this series keeps getting better and better! Matteo and Maria are everything.

Im such a sucker for arranged marriages and this one was done so right. Maria agrees to marry Matteo since she is loyal to her father and his mafia family. Matteo is related to her kid brothers killer, so already she is not planning on a love match. Shell marry him, live with him, but not tolerate him. They have a couple of run-ins before the wedding and this is already where they start to

Blood Always is book 3 in the Five Families series by Jill Ramsover. The story looks at the relationship between the sassy Maria and Mateo. From two ruling Mafia families, you know that t is going to be a love/hate relationship from the start, especially when you find out what both of the families have been doing to each other.

There is a lot going on in this story, not only do we have Maria and Mateo marrying to bring their families together but we have the death of marias younger brother, her

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

At long last I finally found a mafia made woman. I absolutely loved her! She is so strong, independent and fearless even though she has her own demons to fight. In the first few chapters there is a feeling that she is hiding something. Something quite didn't sit well with me. This is one of the many things that initially drew me in but page after page the tension grew and I was kept on the edge of my seat. In the end I can officially say I

This is a well-written mafia romance story. I liked Matteo a lot, he's powerful, commanding, dominant and a perfect mafia boss. On the other hand Maria poses as a tough, confident and merciless woman, but beneath all this appearance is a terrified child who needs to be protected and Matteo plays this role with ability. I did not like her very much, her mood swings are annoying (that's why I only gave it 3 stars). Although her behavior is understandable, sometimes it's too much.

This book has everything! It is an arranged mafia romance. Mateo is a strong underboss. Maria is also a strong women who is very much a part of the mafia world. She is prickly and cold and he wants nothing more than to get past that exterior. Together they have a great push, pull relationship. It is a slow burn romance with off the charts chemistry. This is my favorite book within this series!
