What happens when an almost thirty-year-old virgin agrees to let her Scottish footballer best friend give her some lessons in seduction?

Lots of banter, awkwardness, jealousy, and heat.

Midfielder Maclay “Mac” Logan is a loud-mouthed, tattooed ginger content with focusing on football. But when an adorably-freckled seamstress comes barreling into his life, he finds

Blindsided is only my second Amy Daws book, and I really want to read all the Harris Brother's books! The first I read was Payback, which was nice because even though this is a stand-alone, Mac's friend and roommate is Roan and Freya's bestie is Allie Harris.

Freya and Mac have been the best of friends for over a year. They spend all their free time together watching Netflix, and just hanging out, but there has never been anything more than friendship. Freya wouldn't dream of it.

I have become a solid fan of Amy Daws. I love the way her mind works as she presents situations that happen in everyday life and then allows her characters to be themselves. This can make it very easy to dive right in and read these books to the very end in one sitting if your life allows.

In Blindsided, we are given characters that have been introduced in the other parts of this series. Mac and Freya are the focus and if you

this has the exact same tropes as Before Jamaica Lane (one of my all-time faves), where an "experienced" H teaches his "inexperienced" best friend, aka the h, anything that revolves around that dating, then that turns into sex lessons, then they fall in love, etc.

although this was really cute and enjoyable, i found the h's insecurity and self-deprecation a little too much?? like, i know that's the whole point but damn. she's too mean to herself. but honestly, i prefer characters who

Best friends to lovers trope is always tricky for me because I often want to shake my characters and say, "ARE YOU CRAZY? CAN'T YOU SEE YOU'RE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER?!" But it can't be that easy or we wouldn't believe it. And that split second when things shift from just friends to much, much more is so deliciously sexy, it makes the pain of their struggle 100% worth it. And there's such a beauty to friends finally connecting not only as
***Audio listen Feb 2020. Oye. I read this in November 2019- was this too soon for the audio? I.think.NOT.
Will Watt and Charlotte Cole did a fabulous job. Will is British and did a great Scottish accent for Mac. He also did a great job with Roan's So African accent (great supporting role).
Charlotte had a LOT of dialogue, since Freya is REALLY chatty. She'll go on a rant & then Amy describes Mac as shaking with laughter. They bicker/argue a lot. She'd say: "I think we're in a fight".

Mac and Freya’s friends-to-lovers journey was very sweet and easy to read. They shared a strong bond of friendship which supported the development of their relationship without awkward moments.
I enjoyed this story and some of the lines were epic!!

Five stars for Freya and Mac !!!

This book is everything.

I've enjoyed in every page of this book and I literally couldn't put it down.

Amy did again a great job!

Her books are pure enjoyment for reading.

"Blindsided" is a romance book with best friends to lovers tropes which I love to read.

Freya and Mac's relationship is a slow burn.

Their relationship gave me all the feels.

Happiness, saddens, sweetness and much more...

If you're looking for a fun sports romance that you won't be able to get out of
Soooo good , sooo funny, sooo sweet, sooo romantic ... Perfect for me!!!

I like this book very very much. As the blurb promises, a whole lot of banters. And not just heart breaking banters, but sweet, fun and cute banters too. I love the chemistry between Mac and Freya. Thanks to this book now I have appetite for red head Scootish. Mac is suppose to be brooding, but the fact is he is a just a cuddle bear. Giant bear with a big heart.

I also love Freya. I like the author took a chance portraying her as a plus size woman. Not a super model body type. The chemistry

I am a bit of sucker (in a non bj way) for a Scotsman, and Maclay Logan may have stolen my heart.

I love the friends-to-more story between Mac and Freya. Whilst they see themselves as just mates, we the reader can see that they are so much more.

Freya is the bomb dot com. There is a bit of Freya in all of us, and I need to be her friend. I felt her

Blindsides is a spin-off from the Harris series, but honestly it’s part of the Harris series, because all of the characters are in there! I hate it when authors do this. I truly wanted to start a new series with no background, but it was annoying getting introduced to other characters and see who they married and who had kids and how they are all friends.

Anyhow, that aside.

There were aspects of the book I liked and some I didn’t.

I liked the troupe. You had the cubby girl and the

It’s official! Blindsided is one of my all-time favorite Amy Daws books. It delivers her characteristic witty and hilarious banter with one hot Scot and sassy virgin.

“You blindsided me, Freya. You blindsided me with everything I never knew I wanted.”

Why do best friends think that they can add in The Sex, not have it change things and then think that the relationship can go back to normal when The Sex is over? NEWS FLASH: it doesn’t work!!! But that doesn’t stop me from loving these types of

Blindsided is the new romantic comedy from Amy Daws. This takes places in the Harris Brothers universe but is a strong standalone. These characters shine and the Harris family are just an added bonus :)

"You're enjoying my discomfort far too much. We're officially in a fight."
"Oh good, something new and different for us," Mac replies with an amused tone.

Mac and Freya finally get their own story. This is one that we have been waiting for, for those of us who have read Payback, Amy's previous release. This is another spin-off from the Harris Brothers series, so is once again set in London, and around the Bethnal Green Footy Club for which Mac is a player. He and Freya, and the friendship they have struck, has been to the intrigue of many of us, and also to the other characters in

Let me start off by saying this isn’t a book you breeze through. This is “THE BOOK” you savor. You take in every word. You listen to it. Reading and hearing this story in their accents makes you feel apart of their world. You feel these people, not characters, because I think of them as someone I would know.
I knew this book was going to be special. Amy took very real people and presented very real issues in a comical at times, thoughtful and respectful way. Don’t worry you get Amy in all her
It was ok until it wasn't. It is a character led story. It is cute but lacks depth. It came to a point that it just became boring and dull. It would have been better if it was a shorter book.

When we were first introduced to Freya and Mac i was excited to hear more from them and that’s exactly what Amy delivers. Mac and Freya’s story and what an insane one it is.

Freya is a curvy, beautiful woman. She’s shy when it comes to men and ends up making a big mess of herself in front of them and needs help in any possible way even

5 star Review Blindsided by Amy Daws

Having met Maclay “Mac” Logan and Freya Cook in recent Harris Brothers books I could not wait to dive in to Blindsided, a friends to lovers story.

I was intrigued by Mac and Freya from the start. They both seem like such fun loving, caring and loyal people and ones I would happily call friends.

Mac ticked all the boxes for me, totally swoon worthy and his unconditional love for Freya melted me.

Freya has always been on the outside, never truly comfortable with
I loved Blindsided. This best friends to lovers rom/com had me in stitches right from the word go. They’re “best mates” and of cause they bicker and argue as all “best mates” do.

But they’re the odd couple at best, Freya is a quirky seamstress with a problem with dating, she’s too shy around men to get one. And Mac, well, he’s a star football/soccer player who’s a hot and swoon worthy stud. And what do best friends do? They help each other out, that’s what they do.

An hilarious joy ride of a

Friends to lovers is a hard trope for me. The pacing is generally too slow, and I hate the lack gumption the characters have to admit how they feel. However, Amy Daws change the game of this particular trope, and I found Mac and Freya to be a breath of fresh air in the friends to lovers storyline.

Mac was such a great hero. I loved the way he built up Freya and called her on her crap. He is fantastic. I love that he was a support system for her

I have been trying to figure out what I want to say about Blindsided since I finished the book yesterday. To somehow find a way to convey yet again how much I love Amy Daws work and her words and the love and hard work I know she puts into creating these characters and worlds that I so easily can imagine myself in (and wish I could go to!) without just sounding like a broken record because if you've read any of my reviews of Daws books you already know all this. Perfection! Pure and utter perfection! Freya’s and Mac’s story is at the top of my all time fave books and definitely my top Amy Daws novel! This story was jam packed with laughter and emotion! I found myself laughing then crying and then laughing again!

Freya and Mac’s dynamic since the beginning has always been hilarious! Their banter and quick whips at one another always had me rolling! But the thing I loved the most was their bond! They had this deep rooted foundation that no matter what

Blindsided by Amy Daws is a funny and sexy friends to lovers romance between a curvy seamstress and a huge Scottish football (soccer) player. This book takes place in the Harris Brothers world, but it can easily be read as a standalone.

Mac and Freya have been best buddies ever since Mac walked into Freya's shop for a fitting over a year ago. The two bonded over Netflix TV shows, among other things. Their friendship is honestly the heart of this
Freya and Mac were secondary characters who needed their own book. And she delivered with this quirky couple who are friends with benefits.

Freya is a kitty loving seamstress who just happens to be best mates with a hot Scottish footballer. Mac adores his best mate who he can just be himself with and wants her to be happy. Discovering she is a virgin who can't talk to men, makes Mac want to be her love guru. Freya and Mac are a old married couple who has to be bickering in order to be happy.

Blindisded is a fabulously stunning journey of finding and mistaking love for just good friendship and belonging. While there is nothing wrong with finding home with a wonderful person, what hurts is wanting more and being terrified of letting the other person down by not being as content as they appear. We all know that appearances can be deceiving, but denying what your heart knows to be true is even more devastating on so many levels. We need to learn to open our heart to possibilities even ...more

Amy Daws can never disappoint me. I love all of her Harris Brothers Series books and Blindsided is no exception. The writing was really good, as always. The Cover is hot and wants you to read it. It is a complete standalone but I recommend you read the books before because all previous characters with their happy ending are mentioned throughout the book, it doesn’t lessen the reader enjoyment though.

I adored this book, Mac and Freya were great characters they were interesting and engaging and I loved it. I loved that he was this big touch guy but she became his best friend. It was fun and I just needed a good rom com.

I had a few great scenes when they (Freya and her girls) were talking about their inner voice .. LYING C**T! LOL it is true we always tell ourselves things that are just not true.

And then her cat, OH MY GOSH how funny. <3

I loved the narration!! I want more, more, more,
