I liked it. Easy going with plenty of mystery, questions and hints to the next pairing. A demon bike gang and a coven of witches. Josie wasn’t a push around and Bell wasn’t an idiot. Looking forward to the sisters stories. Favourite character at this point was Ash.

I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review. As I’ve said before, I always give honest reviews whether people appreciate them or not.

This story begins with seven, dark riders (of motorcycles) riding into small town Sweet Pea. This town is so sweet, so quaint, so lovely and so about to be in trouble. This Motorcycle Club is full of Kings, Dukes and Earls and no, they aren’t British Nobles. They are Hell’s Nobles. Let that since in for a moment. The MC is led by King Beleth, B

Surprisingly edible

Characters were a lot better than i expected given the blurb. I enjoyed Bell and the enemies-lovers byplay. Scene at 2669 was quite hot

I just didn’t connect so well with these characters but still enjoyed it!

Good writing and pretty cute characters, but the hero is supposed to be an evil millennia-year old demon and I never really 'felt' this. Like, his mental voice wasn't old or evil, there was no 'weight of centuries' sense when I read his POV.

Also, there was way more focus on the mystery than the romance. So overall it was decent but I think the sequel will be better. I did enjoy the insight on Loa culture we got, though.

I've found my first Moon book that has not sent me into giddy bouncing around after, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.

TBGtRR is quite different than Moon's RH works, especially in the sexy times department. This is one pretty clean book until 92% of the way in, so if you're looking for a steamy smutfest, this book is not it. Even when you get there, it's quite a bit less explicit than the previous works I've read. Still totally satisfying and enjoyable, but you'll be re

Josie and Bell

Hmmm...This book was a very slow burn. I liked the story line but at times it seemed to drag. I didn’t realize the series wasn’t finished yet and I look forward to learning more about the rest of the coven, However I really hope Josie and Bells story isn’t finished yet! It was just getting good between them so I’m not ready for that to end lol. I look forward to the next book, I’m just hoping it’s not as slow and we get more steam with Bell and Josie and maybe some of the others.

This was a really great story! It was original and kept me rapt with attention throughout. As the story developed so did my love for the characters. I LOVED Josie! She was such a fun, tough, kind hearted character (not to mention how much I craved some pastries while reading lol). And then there was the sexy, mischievous Bell. Together they were an intense ball of chemistry! Not forgetting to mention the fabulous secondary characters!

A really great story that I can’t wait to continue with the n

Another winner!!

I'm having a sick day and wanted a fun book to curl up in bed with my coughing self and this lovely did not disappoint! I loved this author in her Librarian series and was interested in this series. I thought it might be a bit cliche-chiclit from the blurb but it was so much better than I expected! I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the rest of the series!!

Beautiful start to a series!

I went into this book blind(without reading blurb or reviews) and it was so good! It’s about a small coven of witches in a small feel good town, that have to deal with demons coming into town. It had a lot of surprises for me, and the bigger picture story sucks you right in. I’m excited for more!

This is a perfectly fine, slow-burn fantasy. I particularly enjoyed the inclusion of Loa cultural elements.

It took me a chapter or two to get into the flow of Kathryn’s writing- she drops you right into the story- but once I did... just so good. She weaves images with her words that are complex and full, just like her characters. Josie and her coven are all different, but they fit together so well, none of them are one dimensional or flat, and that’s a feat in an of it’s self.

I’m really looking forward to seeing where Josie’s story goes!

Sweet temptations...

This is another unique and engaging novel by Kathryn Moon, and I eagerly await the next in the series!

The bad boys in this novel truly are bad boys... er, demons... intent on changing the goody-goody town of Sweat Pea. Josie is a skilled patisserie chef (you'll drool at the details of her sweet treat creations) and a witch who won't be intimidated by the good looks of a charming King of Hell who hopes to wreak havoc on her home - and possibly her heart.

First of, I’m a part of Kathryn’s fb group. When Kathryn first mentioned she was writing a new series with “regular” couples I was curious and wary. Curious because it seems all she writes turns to gold, and wary because most of her other works are either rh or whimsical threesome (Command the Moon is still my favorite book of hers). The start of the Sweet Pea Mysteries series does not disappoint. It’s different from her previous works, yes, but still has a Kathryn touch. Very well researched, q ...more

The Baker's Guide to Risky Rituals is the first book in this newest series from the author. I admit, I'm a huge fan of this author's writing style. I love that her stories never fails to fascinate me and this book fits the bill. This is a contemporary, MC romance with paranormal twist. Now, with that trope alone plus that blurb, I just know that I'm going to be in for a treat (pun intended).

Told in third person's POV, I confess that I struggled just a little bit as this was not my usual way of

Seven leather and denim clad demons sporting badass attitudes, ride into Sweet Pea, Virginia on a mission of mischief and mayhem. With a master plan in hand, they’re surprised to discover a coven of witches amongst the townsfolk. Things are about to get interesting in this peaceful little town – especially when the witches realize what they are. I really enjoyed this highly entertaining paranormal romance! It’s well written with diverse and engaging characters. The story flows smoothly with plen ...more

An exciting launch to a new series.

Moon’s previous books have been pretty fast burns. I don’t mean that dismissively: she jumps right into the action and her characters are intense and passionate. This time, however, we get a much lower temp leadoff.

It pays off. It was disconcerting initially because I expected the pace to mirror her previous books like “Written”. But given the large cast here (7 demons, 4 witches and a small town full of ‘characters’, as my mama would say) it’s well worth it.

Y’all there is nothing that Kathryn will write that I won’t read. She creates these wonderful universes and stunning characters that leave me wanting more. Josie and Bell are the perfect introduction into the world of Sweet Pea, aka literal heaven on earth.
Sweet Pea is the picture perfect town. Neighbors stop on the street and actually talk to each other, if that tells you anything. King Beleth and his demon motorcycle gang roll into town hell bent (lol) on corrupting the sickeningly sweet town

I loved Kathryn Moon's newest story! Sweet Pea is a slice of heaven on Earth. It's a small, strong community, but it's not all perfection. When dead bodies start to turn up, Josie, the kitchen witch, and her coven step up to take back their town. But who's the killer? One of the beautiful, bad boys of Hell's Bells MC? One of the townspeople? One of her own? As magic is gathered and lines are crossed, the ending is a beauty with promises of more to come. This story a fun, fast paced mystery with ...more

Josie runs a local sweet shop she's attracted the attention of the local new MC Demon biker club Bell she should ignore him and figure out how to get rid of him and his gang but Josie doesn't always do what a good kitchen witch should. Great story, so so relationship building

I am a big fan of the author, but I did not enjoy this story quite as much as her others. The idea of witches protecting the town and demons trying to corrupt it is wonderful. I'm super interested to see how the conflicting goals affect the growing relationships between the witches and demons, but is the romantic relationship that is developed in this story that I think fell short. There wasn't enough tying together the fiesty baker and demon in charge, es

The first chapter will set the tone for this amazing journey. The writing is superb. You will feel the wind, smell the pastries and can here the small town gossip just like you are right there in small town USA.

These characters will suck you in and refuse to spit you out... Believe me, you will want to stay.

Bad boys have never read so good and sassy heroines have never had me saying "Hell Ya!" so loud!

A great introduction to a very interesting set of characters. I am loving the witch vs demon situation as it’s a little different. Kathryns words put you right in the middle of this perfect little town and her characters come to life. Once again Kathryn Moon did an excellent job creating interesting, deep characters and a fictional setting I would love to actually visit. I’d classify this as a slow-burn, introductory story to the Sweet Pea Mystery series.

Josie (the heroine) has a strong personality, is loyal, and is no pushover. I didn’t connect as much with Bel, the leading man, but he did seem like a good match for Josie. I’m really excited to see the series continue with the remaining characters in the book. They all were
