This fantasy book involving Chinese demons from long ago drawn into the modern era was interesting. Below the Forbidden City & below the terra cotta army are demons. Some of these demons also seem to be below the La Brea tar pits. There's people who work as decorators, musuem help, tailors, and those who helping people escape from China following the Tianamen Square protest. Ill read more of Forrest's books, including those written under her other names: R.A.V. Salisitz; Charles Ingrid; Rhon ...more
