Read for uni. I really enjoyed this one. One of the aspects I really enjoyed is how the girls were portrayed as really strong females who were capable of anything they set their minds too! :D

A few years back as I was searching for free Christmas stories I found one with the Camp fire girls. I had never read any of their adventures but still I read it and thought it was cute.

So I decided to go to book one and enjoy the whole series. It did not disappoint.

Fun story. Loved reading about the adventures of the Camp Fire Girls on Loon Lake. I've read the first four books now and this one is my favorite.

The majority of this book is not very well written, but every once in a while the author punts out an absolutely beautiful paragraph or page. These moments of gorgeous prose always are descriptions of nature. Beyond the poor writing, the story was nice and was a good reflection as to how things were (as it is set at the beginning of WWI). It also made me realize just how much outdoor knowledge I don't have (and how I need to remedy that). The series was authored by various people and I have hear ...more
