I was really fascinated by the subject 1919 in New York before Prohibition and the start of Women's rights movement and really enjoyed the story and really bonded with the charachters too. I wish it had been longer though as I felt the quarter of the book was rushed and needed more time savour moments. I loved that the author was inspired to write this historical fiction from being at the 100th anniversary of the Hotel Penn and the truth behind the quote"If these walls could talk, the stories th ...more
