I read the Daily Bugle every day and their editor J. Jonah Jameson says that Spider-Man is a menace! Now I see this book that says Spider-Man is a hero who never gives up and always saves the day? Well, don't you believe it! What kind of man hides his face behind a mask and torments good, law-abiding people like that nice Doctor Otto Octavius? A criminal, that's who! Spider-Man probably wrote this book himself!

I hope the police catch that horrible Spider-Man so the citizens of New York can feel safe again!

Sincerely,
May Parker

A simple, quick read that works well for short attention spans. It gives some basic background on Spider-Man’s story and name-drops villain characters my son already recognizes, which definitely keeps him interested.

There’s no big lesson or takeaway here, it’s really just a short superhero book meant for fun. Not especially memorable, but solid if your kid is into Spider-Man and wants something familiar at bedtime.

BB that introduces small children to Spidey through the art of John Romita Sr.! I like this series of books so much, a great way to introduce small children to characters along with the artists who made them come alive. One of my big regrets is never being able to get anything signed by John Romita Sr. - would have loved to have gotten ASM #39 and #40 signed by him!

I read this with my 3yo son after he picked it out at the library yesterday. This book was super cute and a really fun format. May have to invest in a copy for ourselves because I can see the heartbreak when we have to return them!

YASSS Spider-Man for the WIN!! This was my favorite one I read. I may be biased (yes) BUT it’s Spiderman so it has to be good! And it was!

Was this me catching up on my reading goal? YES! Was it kind of eye-opening and make me think from a different perspective? YES

It's basically just brightly colored Romita drawings, what's not to love? (Although Spidey's leg in the Rhino page looks wonky)

“I like spider-man. I like that he was eating soup at the beginning. My favorite bad guy is green goblin. No actually, the rhino.” - Luke
