A sweet story filled with charm, humor, romance, Drama, and Mystery. This is the first book in a brand new series by Daisy James and I think it is off to a brilliant start. Lexie finds herself jobless and loveless after a catastrophe at a runway event she is in charge of and then catches her fiancé at dinner with another woman. Not wanting to deal with the aftermath Lexie high tails it home to Cornwall. In Cornwall Lexie finds herself helping out her friend Freya by planning a Caribbean wedding. ...more

My first blog tour, many years ago, was for one of this author’s previous books, so when I had the opportunity to be part of this blog tour, I knew it was going to be a definite yes! The Cornish Confetti Agency looks and sounds absolutely delightful. The cover fills you with warmth from the blue skies and sea, and the blurb certainly sounds fun! Lexi is a great character, fleeing to her home town of St Ives in Cornwall to help run the Cornish Confetti Agency with her best friend. She’s definitel ...more

What a treat of a book this is. Enjoyable and made me smile from the first page to the last.

I was catapulted into Lexie Harrington's rather calamitous life, and it sure did make for an entertaining story.

Nothing seems to go smoothly for Lexie, nor those around her, as she tries to escape her recent heartbreak by fleeing to Cornwall and helping out the Cornish Confetti Agency on a rather fabulous sounding Caribbean themed wedding.

It soon becomes apparent that someone is trying low levels of sa

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed this story. It is classified as a rom-com, but it has humor, romance, drama, and even a bit of a mystery, which is something I have not come across in Daisy James' books before. This is the first book in a new series and I am looking forward to seeing what is next for this wonderful group of characters. Lexie opens the story by planning an extravagant catwalk fashion show, that ends in a catastophe. Finding herself fired, she skulks home, only to catc ...more

There's a little bit of everything in this lovely uplit romantic comedy. Lexie is not having the best of times. Her career is imploding, and her love life is following, so she runs back to Cornwall, to regroup.

The Cornish Confetti Agency seems to be the lifeline she needs, Weddings are happy occasions so arranging them should be too? Unfortunately not, and what follows is a lovely story full of impending disaster, laughter and a slow, sizzling romance.

The plot has a cozy mystery vibe, as Lexie a

I’m very much into a bit of escapism at the moment, preferring my reading a little on the lighter side, and this one fitted the bill quite perfectly. After something of a calamity at the high-profile catwalk event she’d organised, Lexie’s life goes from bad to worse when it becomes very clear that her personal life isn’t any too peachy either. She grasps the opportunity of taking over a wedding planning business in Cornwall for a while – but when things start going a bit awry there too it makes ...more

Having thoroughly enjoyed this feelgood novel, I can say that I am looking forward to the next in the series. There are lots of amusing moments, especially with some of the wedding details and as there is a gentle mystery to uncover as you go along. Lexie seems to be dogged by bad luck. Leaving her life in London behind, she seems to bring the chaos with her but luckily, there is a charming journalist to help her unpick just what is going on.

There are some promising characters who I hope will f

This is great escapism for the lock down. The setting in Cornwall is lovely, and the characters are likable and entertaining. And who doesn't want to read about elaborate wedding preparations? It's apparently the first in a new series, so I may just be going back to Cornwall when the next one comes out. ...more

There’s just so much drama in this book! It starts with high-fashion runway drama, focuses mainly on wedding drama, and ends with some family drama! That last bit was such a surprising twist to an already action-packed story.

It’s no wonder that Lexie (female protagonist) often has terrible headaches. She seems to thrive on chaos. And it doesn’t help that she is an escapist who flees from uncomfortable conversations and difficult situations. Her character development is gradual and beli

Lexie is quite the character, hit by disaster after disaster. Poor thing – everything seems to go wrong at the same time so I cannot blame her for wanting to get away from it all. Lucky her best friend happens to have a great solution for her.
Disaster seems to follow her around though and nothing she does goes smoothly; helping organise a Caribbean themed wedding sounds simple enough but not when things seem to be going wrong and it becomes very apparent someone is against the wedding taking pl

This was such a fun read. Lexie was pretty much thrown into one disaster after another, and after losing her job and her boyfriend within an hour, the invitation from her best friend Freya to run a wedding planner business in Cornwall seems perfect timing to get her away from real life for a while.

The Caribbean theme for the wedding sounded so exciting and colourful that I really wanted to be there. I could almost smell the coconut! When a series of what seems like acts of sabotage begins, Lexie

This is the start of a brilliant new series from Daisy James and I loved it from the first page to the last.
Lexie Harrington loves her job working as an event planner for her incredibly demanding boss. That is until disaster strikes and he fires Lexie.

So the last time I joined Daisy James, it was to follow her series The Paradise Cookery School, which I loved. The Cornish Confetti Agency is the first book in her new series, and already I am hooked!

Lexie Harrington coordinates high end fashion shows, a job that she absolutely loves. So, when her latest catwalk show ends in disaster and her personal life simultaneously combusts she finds herself escaping back to her childhood home of St Ives in Cornwall. In 'The Cornish Confetti Agency', Lexie is a bundle of nerves as she needs her boss' fashion show to go off without a hitch. However, a massive blunder gets her fired. To add to her dejection, she catches her fiancé with another woman. When her best friend offers her a temporary stint as a wedding planner, she seizes it only to find that trouble follows her everywhere.

Although Lexie's work in the fashion world came to a swift end early on, there were plenty of details that showed how much time a

I have read this book twice and the last time was almost a year ago. I remember I had a very positive response towards this book back then.

With this re-read, my response is a bit different; there’s no change to the fact that I enjoyed this book overall, but I had some niggles which I didn’t find or I could have let slip the last time.

The story is fun, light-hearted with a bit of emotional spins that tug at your heartstrings. The mystery elements woven into the story added some nice flavors as

Set in beautiful St Ives, this novel drew me in right from the start. I can imagine a gorgeous Caribbean themed wedding set down there by the blue sea and golden sands.

It’s a Summer read for sure with food, sun, gossip, romance and mystery thrown in. It’s the first book in a series from Daisy James and I love it!

The main character is a lovable one called Lexie. She’s a hard working event planner that has a tough boss who expects the world. Something happens and he fires Lexie. She heads home to

So much more than just a romantic story!
Lexie feels that her world is falling apart. When the grand finale of the catwalk ends in a disaster, she is held responsible and the consequence is that she is getting fired on the spot.
Going home depressed, she sees her fiancé in a restaurant opposite their apartment with another woman!
As it’s getting all too much, see grabs the opportunity to help out her best friend Freya organizing a wedding for the Cornish Confetti Agency.
But little does she know

I loved this lighthearted, drama filled 'who done it' type romantic story. The calamities Lexie found herself in were often hilarious. This is my first book of Daisy's to read and I love her writing style and how she describes the beautiful Cornish countryside, taking me back to my own childhood memories of holidaying in beautiful Cornwall. Looking forward to reading book two.

A fabulous read!

I could not put this book down. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! So first things first what a Wedding, I only wish I was invited. There was so much going on and oh all the drama and throw in comedy, romance with a dash of mystery. I loved the characters and how Daisy brought them to life on the page. I had a film going on in my head. So delighted this is a series and what a great start.

Think story was a delight

Did you ever have one of those days when everything is rubbish? That’s what happens to our heroine Lexie. Fortunately, this charming story tells how she rescues herself, experiences personal growth, saves a wedding and a family, and finds Mr. Right. Asked to help, out a friend, she heads for her hometown and trades fashion show event coordinator for wedding coordinator. You’ll laugh out loud at some of the Nijinsky that ensue.

Daisy James loves writing stories with strong heroines and swift-flowing plot-lines. She especially likes to create sunshine-filled settings in exotic locations - the Caribbean, Tuscany, Cornwall, Provence - so she can spend her time envisioning her characters enjoying the fabulous scenery and sampling the local food and drink.
