Things might be too good to be true for Tamiko in this eleventh book in the Sprinkle Sundays series from the author of the Cupcake Diaries series and Donut Dreams series!
It’s the start of a new school year, and everything is going perfectly for Tamiko. She has a great back-to-school wardrobe, her BFF Sierra is in her homeroom, and she just won a contest to design the cover for a local magazine! Everything is turning up rainbow sprinkles. But when Tamiko starts walking around with her head in the clouds and not putting in her usual effort at the shop, it’s time for the Sprinkle Sunday squad to bring her back down to Earth!
Coco Simon always dreamed of opening a cupcake bakery, but she’s afraid she would eat all the profits. When she’s not daydreaming about cupcakes, Coco edits children’s books and has written close to 100 books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes she’s eaten. Cupcake Diaries is the first time Coco has mixed her love of cupcakes with writing.
I really enjoyed seeing the character development of the main character (Tamiko) in this book! I think she definitely learned more about herself and how she presented herself to others in this book, and I thought that gave a really good message. I also enjoy how Coco Simon alternates between the 3 BFFs between books, so in each new book for the character, you can really see how they've grown as a person. If you like books about character development and friendship, then this series is definitely the one to read!
