Sweet and funny, this is quickly shaping up to be a reliable series. There's a little more drama this time around as Miwa, the shy one, struggles with self-confidence and a person seemingly intent on outing her. Saeko, the outgoing one, has dismissed jealousy as something she is incapable of feeling, but she cannot deny she's becoming unusually irritated when other people pay attention to Miwa.

Odd mix of awkward relationship cuteness, dealing with repressive societal mores, and relatively explicit sex scenes. This second volume turns things up a notch in all areas and throws in a bunch more supporting characters, making the cast a little difficult to keep straight (no pun intended). The themes of jealousy and communication were expressed a tad melodramatically, but this is manga....

Saeko and Miwa have rounded every base in the progression of their relationship, but that means everything’s smooth sailing, right? Well... maybe... In their case, the destination might have been a lot easier than the journey that starts when they get there...
I have read other reviews of this series that suggest that Saeko and Miwa shouldn’t be together. I don’t think I would go that far, but it is true that they are not being super healthy this volume. It feels like the two of them are actually ...more

I love this author's work - the art, the dialogue, the characters. The girls are so cute together! I recommend it to everyone I talk to, lol.

I'm really digging this series. So interesting.
That guy who keeps giving Miwa grief is a complete a-hole. Then it turns out he's not homophobic, per se, rather, PDAs greatly bother him, as do people who aren't "normal" according to his skewed view of what's normal & what's different. We see he has a weird name, & at a young age, it was pounded into his head that being normal is bad. So he decided to embrace weirdness, to the point his mother eventually took him to what we presume is a psychiatr ...more

Rep: sapphic romance; lesbian main characters
Warnings: explicit sex scenes, threat of character being outed
Miwa and Saeko are comfortable enough and settling into their relationship, and Saeko especially is happy about where they are. When prompted by her friend, she declares that their relationship is bereft of jealousy as the nature of it is different from a typical heterosexual relationship. However, during a camping retreat, she finds out that even when she is secure in the idea of their re ...more

Volume 2 definitely ups the drama from the first volume as it begins with Miwa and Saeko already having sex, something they hadn't yet initiated in the first volume. From there, their relationship grows, as does Saeko's constant jealous when it comes to Miwa interacting with other people. Saeko is a bit all over the place in this, jumping from being totally cool with Miwa being friendly with everyone to getting clingy and jealous at the very mention of Miwa not only hanging out with a group of g

This one was a little harder to read than the first because it focused on how what you say isn't always what you feel inside, especially in terms of Saeko's jealousy (they use Mikkun's own brushes with dumb jealousy to frame what could happen if you take it too far, but then there's Saeko who tries to go to the other extreme and let Miwa flail around on her own half the novel). Meanwhile, Miwa is struggling to gain confidence.

- LGBT representation
- Cute art style
- Secondary characters given more time to shine
- Shows the trials and tribulations of being in a relationship
- Provides some insight into being an LGBT ally (ie when the protagonists' bandmates check in with each other to try and make things as comfortable as possible for Miwa and Saeko)

I finished this last night, but reflecting, I have mixed feelings about the story. It was well paced and interesting, but I feel it is was a little stagnant in character and plot development. This is not to say I won't give the next volume a chance with hopes it will improve. I do like the characters and concept of the manga, it is cute. I'm just hoping for more of a storyline and more character development.

Still pretty charming, but not as clean as the first volume. The focus on jealousy and lying to each other doesn't feel unreasonable but it is the type of relationship drama that makes me scream "just talk to each other" in my head while reading. Bigger issue was with the creepy depression boy who was trying to ruin everything, which I was hoping would get an arc, but it feels more like a setup here with no payoff to justify the shitty vibes he brings to the book.

'How Do We Relationship?' continues to be a cute story about college students in love and figuring it out; that said, I'm really hoping they can have a serious talk and wrap up the jealousy thing next volume (and the asshole guy "I've decided that all happy people are vapid fakers" thing) because there is such a thing as just too much. I still really enjoy them and all their friends navigating early adulthood, so I'm going to remain hopeful. :)

Gahhhhh!!!! I absolutely am loving this series so far. It’s such a beautiful, accurate, wholesome story about actual lesbians in a relationship. This is the best Yuri I’ve read it’s very relatable. The sex scenes are done great too! The characters aren’t sexualized at all during them and there is great discussions on the intimacies that go into a lesbian sexual relationship. Love love love these characters and story!!
The series really seems to be picking up pace, all the parts that made the first volume Intresting got turned up!
The relationship drama & the explicit sexual scenes. There was quite a bit happening in this volume which really feels like a real interpretation of a yuri relationship, a refreshing take that im looking forward to seeing it develop.

The second volume isn't quite as good as the first, but it still does a great job of dealing with relationship problems (and potential) between the two characters. Sweet, with a well-balanced dash of sexy, but also very honest: these are soap opera issues, but things that most people can relate to. Great stuff.

Die beiden Turteltauben trauen sich und erzählen ihren Band Kollegen von ihrer (bis dato) geheimen Beziehung. Wie die Männer reagieren werden müsst ihr selbst lesen. Ist auf jeden Fall anders als man denkt 😆

ARC via Edelweiss. Jealousy as a plot device isn't my favorite, but I mostly enjoyed this volume! Hoping to see more of Usshi and Rika in future volumes.
