Admittedly, I'm not familiar with this series; I normally avoid ARCs that fall this far into a series, but the description sounded good, and that gorgeous cover art sucked me in! I picked up enough of the story to get an idea of what's going on, though I would like to read this and the previous series now, because I'm intrigued- I'd like to see how we got to this point. The love story between the two MCs, Fumi and Kyutaro, is omg sweetness! The way he looks at her- oh my heart! But there's that

Initially NetGalley allowed me to read a digital copy of this book in exchange for a review. I wasn't able to read this copy before it expired, so I read the printed version of this book after it was released. This is my review of the printed version.

This is a solid volume for fans of the series/sequel. From cute to funny to serious, it flows easily and naturally without the awkwardness of forced humor in some of the earlier volumes. The art is beautiful and consistent, with a slight change to one character that the mangaka points out. I'd like to see more backgrounds in the panels, especially when they aren't inside a gate, but when backgrounds are used, they're effective. Otherwise, this new arc lines up with the previous one well, so I th

This is one of my favorite mangas. I do miss the cleaning tips though! The chapters seem short. Just as the story picks up the chapter is over. I do have trouble keeping some of the male characters straight, they do look similar to each other. I appreciate Fumi’s humbleness but I wondered why she did not stand up to the Seiryu clan to protect Kyutaro. He had to come to her rescue. Well, she is protecting him now. The new volume should be here any day!
I love this series so much - this volume starts off sweet and romantic (Fumi & Kyutaro are so perfect together) but of course, their lives can't be complete without being threatened, and violence ensues. I just can't get over how gorgeous this art is - and the two of them finally together, condom jokes from his family aside, makes for some beautiful moments.
