What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?

Tomura isn't only the best villainy of the series, but he is truly one of the best characters and the origin part of this volume prove it again! Strong background character and a strong plot evolution made this one a very good one!

We dig deep more into Shigaraki's character. The future of the League of Villains, as well as the Meta Liberation Army, is decided. I REALLY liked the reaction of Gigantomachia when he finally saw Shigaraki as the successor. Things are getting really complicated and I'm sure the new arc will be great. ...more

One of my favorite volumes so far. Absolutely amazing.
This volume brings to a conclusion the extravagant and epic villains story arc. It would be an understatement to claim that it was stellar in every way possible. Tomura Shigaraki's origin story is heartbreaking and so, so dark too. The end is exactly what you'd expect.
The transition back to the heroes was a bit on the rougher end of things as the latest trial is a bit underwhelming, having a bit of a humourous tone to it. But mangaka Kohei Horikoshi, excelling at what he does, brings back the ch ...more

Holy shit, Shigaraki's storyline is so dark. Like I already knew it was messed up, but this was something else entirely. The build up to everything is getting so intense ah!

Villain arc was one of the best, and this new arc is building up very nicely. Looks like we're getting another huge climax in the next few volumes. This is the best MHA has been in a while, and Horikoshi's art only keeps improving.

We're finally back to seeing the heroes! To be honest, I missed the Class 1-A kids lol. The villain arc was cool, but I was ready for that one huge fight to end.
So it seems like the League and the Liberation people have (view spoiler) I wasn't expecting that, but it's an interesting way to go about things. And now Shigaraki's leveling up or ...more

Finishing up the stories of the previous Volume, then heading into some more filler before a possible time jump, the story is obviously building to something EPIC. Highlights:
- Damn.... Tenko Shimura, who is now Tomura Shigaraki... we get to see his quirk manifest, which ends up killing his whole family. This is gritty and sad and gory and psychotic all at once. Ending up an orphan, he is taken in, adopted, and has his quirk encouraged by his foster father, All For One. All For One collected the ...more

A great series which I continue to enjoy, even after 25 volumes. This manga concludes the meta human liberation army arc and starts the pro hero agency arc, so we get a lot of league of villains storyline and also get to finally return to class 1-A. I really loved getting to see Tomuras origin story, and the extent to what his quirk is really capable of, as well as getting more of Hawks in this volume, as he’s definitely one of my favourite pro hero’s out there. My Hero Academia is one of my favorite book series to read right now. It follows alongside the main Character named Deku as he works to become the number 1 hero. In the first few books, he trains to get into the top hero school. Then in the following books, he takes the test and, spoiler, he passes! Over the next books, he makes new friends with the other characters. Deku and his friends fight along side each other with villains and dangerous people. The villa ...more

Back after taking a year break to allow for more issues to run!
So here we go with the next four volumes from 22 to 25.
Volume#25
That back story is very disturbing
breaking his chain ending the fight with the liberation army
and subduing them under the league's control
With one battle gaining a 100k members
Waiting for the clash with the heroes

This volume was a really nice view of Shigaraki's past. I was saddened to see how his home life with his family had been, and I loved the role his sister played, always offering him support where his dad didn't give it(which was almost everywhere). It was also rather interesting to learn how All for One chose to rename him from Tenko Shimura to Tomura Shigaraki, especially the part where Horikoshi revealed that it was partly because Shigaraki is AfO's name.

Well this volume was certainly an improvement on the last one, WOW O.O
So much on Shigaraki's backstory in this one, including how All For One came to find him how he did, and just... YIKES @_@
Plus, we've [finally] gotten some more Class 1A in here! With what looks like a central focus on Izuku, Todoroki and Bakugou for the next little while at least whilst they intern with Endeavour. I am very intrigued to see where things go from here! c:

Goddamn My Hero Academia got dark! In Volume 25 we get a lot of backstory on Tenko Shimura, otherwise known as Shigaraki. We learn how he became the dark villain he is currently (spoiler alert: he killed a lot of people he loved) and was taken in by All for One who gave him the name Shigaraki. As we move on from his backstory, we return to the modern issue at hand, the battle between the Metahuman Liberation Army and the League of Villians. Shigaraki defeats Re-Desto, earning his respect in the

This volume picks up right where we left off with Shigaraki and the League of Villains still fighting against the Meta Liberation Army. We continue to learn more about Shigaraki's tragic backstory as he fights. It's very sad, twisted, and gruesome, as you'd expect from someone as unhinged as Shigaraki. You really get a look into the villain's head and how he sees the world. He's hateful and driven, and at one point he's absolutely terrifying as he laughs maniacally like a mad man.

My Hero Academia, Vol. 25 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next eleven chapters (236–246) of the on-going manga series.
The tankōbon concludes the battle between the League of Villains and the Meta Liberation Army. The battle continues with the leaders pitting against each other with Tomura Shigaraki (League of Villains) against Rikiya Yotsubashi (Meta Liberation Army), which ends in the surrender of Rikiya Yotsubashi and gives Tomura Shigaraki control of his army. ...more

so after hearing THE news concerning a certain flame quirk holder and since having seen all the recent anime and read three early manga volumes, i decided to GO FOR IT and read all the chapters from 191 to now. it has been a WILDT ride but i am reading enjoying all the action and the sad (no I am not). figured i pick this one up to own (think it’s the most recent released) and put it on here because TRULY this year, the only thing that has kept my attention is anime. anyway here’s a review of th

There's going to be war! Some of the panels in this instalment were incredible and the final two double pages were a great way to finish and start the rest of the story. Principal Nezu sitting in Aizawa's scarf was my favourite little detail. And Eri's holiday spirit. A lot of cuteness in this instalment to balance out the action.
