I love the Forger-Briar family so damn MUCH 😭😭😭

This volume is even better than the first! I was howling in laughter at many moments. And this manga is dark at times, but it's balanced out with humor, action and sweetness (and some dramatic irony, which I ADORE).

Also, I hope Damian gets his ass kicked again. (I don't care that he's a kid, bullies are trash no matter the age.)

Can't wait to read volume 3!!!

More implausibly spy family fun with the Forgers.
We meet Yor's kid brother (oops, she forgot to tell him she was married!), Anya tries to learn fractions, they visit the aquarium.

The cover of this volume prominently features Anya Forger, and that is appropriate because not only does it contains the school arc where she is front and center, she is the glue that holds this fake family together. It helps that she is adorable as hell, but without her the entire operation would just fall apart.

This was another excellent volume. I ended up reading it slowly to savor everything. It is still as funny as when I discovered this series a year ago.

A very easy 5 stars!!

What do you get when you cross a spy with a telepath with an assassin? = HEAPS OF FUN!

This was such a solid second installment in what is shaping up to be my new favourite manga series! I found myself laughing throughout and I did not see that twist coming! We are also introduced to Twilight's target's son, Damian, and very briefly to Yor's brother, Yuri. I cannot wait for volume 3! <3

A farcical, over the top action story wrapped around a sweet found-family center. In the first volume, a super spy, a super assassin, and a telepathic child formed a family of convenience. The spy needs to complete a complex Macguffin of a mission involving infiltrating a prestigious private school, the assassin can stop socially standing out and prevent her coworkers and family from prying, and the child can find a home and not worry about being captured by the lab she escape from. No one but t ...more

I can't lie, Spy x Family is definitely one of my fave mangas series. It's cute, fun and an absolute delight. If this manga becomes an anime, I am totally watching every second of the show. It's great!

Anya's adorable nature, and her fake family and real friends going along with her goofy ideas is a real treat. Especially seeing the family grow and protect each other, and get into so much mischief. Plus, the dynamics of the school kids was fun and interesting to see. I think this series is gonna

Still humorous with its parallels between the drama of everyday family life and the cut-throat world of espionage and assassinations. The anxiety you feel when your daughter gets wait-listed for a new school -- where you hope she'll do well, be happy, and make friends -- is amplified when your job, lives, and the fate of your nation could depend on it. And what if that tiger mother has an actual bodycount under her apron?

The pace did seem a little slow this time around as the creator spent a lot

Jesus, I love this fucking manga.

The family of Loid, Yor, and Anya make their way into school as Anya is finally accepted. But now it is the mind reader's mission to infiltrate her classmates and get close. But if you think adults are assholes with bad thoughts, kids are even worse. Loid worries for his daughter and her capability to get close to the boy that will lead him to his target. Yuri is worried about being a good mother. Together they must come together to make Anya the best student ev

The title may be "family," but Anya's quickly becoming the star of the show. That does make sense, as a large part of Twilight's mission involves her getting him an in with his target, but more than that, Anya's attempts to live up to her dad's expectations while being a perfectly ordinary (yet psychic) little girl are delightful. The spy theme also allows the story to play with standard school manga tropes without them feeling stale, because as well as Twilight knows his own game, he's amazingl ...more

School is in session as Anya’s classroom performance becomes the focal point of Loid’s plan to cozy up to his target, but some helpful(-ish) hints from Yor turn her into a pint-sized problem. On top of that, Yor might have forgotten to tell her brother that she’s allegedly been married for a year...

Whether intentional or not, Spy x Family has made a very clear delineation between its characters - Loid is the brains, very much a planner and two-steps-ahead type, acutely aware of everything around

I’m just loving this series so much! Plus the bonus mission was epic!!
Dani ❤️ Perspective of a Writer
Twilight is a master spy who always completes his mission no matter what he has to do. This next one might just be impossible as he’s required to obtain a wife and child to infiltrate an elite private school. Only he doesn’t know his wife, Yor, is an assassin and his child, Anya, is a telepath.

Holy shit, I love this series! The characters are fun, the humor is great, and the expressive artwork ties everything together!

I loved seeing Anya bond with Yor and I fucking LOVE their relationship. Yor is such an over-the-top protective family member (with Twilight, Anya, and her brother) but it doesn't bother Anya and Anya even admires her physical prowess. I also love how Twilight accepts advice from Yor and acknowledges her wisdom. It's great to see so many characters with strong personalit

I know that I am saying always the same thing but... this is just fun. And cute! They are all amazing characters, I cannot say who I prefer. Every single one of them has his or her strengths and charms. And they make up such a nice family! I am a bit sad because all of them have secrets, and we are talking about SECRETS all in capitals, not just something minor. And it would be such a shame to see them broke apart. And the ending... oh my!

Even better than the first volume! Anya is so freaking adorable! And Yor drop kicking anyone who threatens Anya is hilarious. I know this is a sham family, but the way I’m still shipping Yor and Twilight! 🤣 I’m so ready for everyone to find out about each other too; that will definitely be a hoot to see!

Oh and that reveal??? I’m so happy that I have volume 3 checked out from the library too because I’m stoked to see how this plays out!

Anya begins school, but Loid’s plans for Anya aren’t going as he hoped.

While the first few chapters of this volume weren't super strong, the chapters that followed more than made up for it. I’m particularly pleased with the direction Anya’s school life is going in; her interactions with Damian were absolutely hilarious and unexpected and I like that she is unwittingly foiling Loid’s plans. But by far my favourite aspect of this volume, and the series as a whole, is the growth our le

I love this manga so, so much!!

SpyXFamily is about a spy, assassin, and telepathic orphan who have to pretend to be a family for the spy's mission. The spy (father) and assassin (mother) still don't know the truth about each other, and the orphan girl does, since she can read minds, but doesn't care because she just wants a family.

And they really do become the cutest, most adorable family! The hijinks continue in this volume and I laugh out loud as misunderstandings end up working out in the e

Yet another amusing and action-packed installment of Spy x Family!  This has quickly become a favorite of mine and I'm only two volumes in so far.  That tells you something about how much fun this series has been so far.

The whole family - Loid, Yor, and Anya - is an accident waiting to happen.  Loid, aka Twlight, is a master spy.  Yor is an assassain.  And Anya?  She only looks sweet and innocent because the truth is, she can read your mind.

Of the three, Anya's probably my favorite.  She's ado

School, castles, and family. All in the name of duty.

After being accepted to the prestigious Eden Academy Anya must now do her best to not only achieve good grades but to be accepted by other students even though she is not from an alumni family like some of the others. Before all that she needs to get a new uniform, discover a castle adventure, and survive another kidnapping! While Anya certainly is the star of this volume whether she is showing one of her many emotions or throwing herself into
