Very interesting. I've never read Russian fairytales before. The six stories were:
1. Czar Sultan --very magical and strange
2. The Dead Princess and the Seven Valiant Knights-- this was my favorite story! It was like a much better rendition of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I wonder if Germany and Russia had similar tales, or if one was taken by the other hundreds of years ago.
3. The Golden Cockerel --I didn't completely understand the ending...
4. Fineast the Bright Falcon - strange idea. The beginning reminded me of the beginning of the original story "Beauty and the Beast." Interesting that the main character went on a journey much like a prince usually does in a fairytale, since she is a girl.
5. Princess Frog --not at all like the Princess and the Frog story we westerners are used to.
6. Marya Morevn -- much darker than the other stories. Very strange indeed.
