Wine Hard, Baby

Rate this book
From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes an Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy.

CAUTION: CONTAINS HOT COWBOY. Do not mix with wine. Avoid watching him do shirtless labor on hot days.

SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE: Feeling of extreme temptation, excessive drooling over his abs, elevated heart rate, and loss of coherent thoughts when in his presence.

My name is Camila Clark. And that sexy cowboy right there? The one with the devilish smile, twinkling brown eyes, and tattoos on his muscular arms? He’s Jed, the guy I turned down flat back in Texas. He just showed up here in Oregon at the winery where I work.

The question is why?

Not that it really matters. I have my reasons for staying away from all that manly temptation. Reasons he can’t possibly understand but seems determined to punish me for.

But the more I fight him, the more I learn about this mysterious, hot-as-hell cowboy. I just don’t know how much longer I can keep pretending to hate him.

The problem is, I’m technically engaged to a guy I’ve never met.

Wine Hard, Baby is book six in the OHellNo series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. With every book I read of Mimi’s, no matter the series, she never fails to surprise me, to venture somewhere completely new and unexplored. That’s exactly what she did in this book. We have a sexy cowboy with morals and a nerdy numbers girl trying to please her family. The result is a whole lot of crazy.

Camilla (Cami) Clark is twenty three years old. She grew up in Utah in a very loving, supportive home with very religious parents. As she reached adulthood, she was encouraged to go to college, get her education. But when it came to falling in love, her parents insisted she was required to only marry a man they chose for her, an arranged marriage to a man she hasn’t even met yet. How can the parents who raised her, loved her, not want her to fall in love and find happiness?

Jed Redford was raised dirt poor but came into money later on. He’s a cowboy through and through as well as ex-marine. When Jed first met Cami, he was immediately interested. But she shot him down in spectacular fashion. Cami is now working for a winery, The Grape Ranch, in Pine Cove, Oregon. She loves her life her and is trying to figure out how to please her parents without giving up her own dreams. They will completely cut her out of their lives if she doesn’t do as they wish. Then, to complicate everything, the hot cowboy that she turned down back in Texas shows up with all his swooniness, complicating everything.

What to Wear to a Winery (Your Ultimate Style Guide for Winery Outfits)

Cami was hilarious. She swears like a sailor when she gets flustered. And she made so many crazy mistakes when it came to Jed. But under it all, she is a good, sweet woman who is torn between pleasing her family and following her own dreams.

“It’s my life. I refuse to waste it.”

Both Jed and Cami have some unresolved issues. Even with all the turmoil Cami is experiencing, I loved how she saw right through Jed and set him straight. Well, maybe not at first, but she did eventually. I think this book is about living your best life as honorably as possible, for yourself, not for anyone else. About looking forward, not backward. And about trusting in yourself, trusting your heart. And finding your very own Happy Ever After.

Dirty and fun with terrific characters!

I love Mimi Jean books and this one was no different. The main character, Camila was the perfect blend of funny, kooky and a dash of crazy. Camila is best friends with Giselle from the book My Pen Is Huge. They call Gisselle’s guy Mr. Big Pen (a.k.a. Leland) and his best friend is a cowboy named Jed. Jed was interested in Camila awhile back but she turned him down and called him some names like trailer trash in order to make him angry and not be tempted by him.

That was prior to her moving away and starting work at a vineyard in California. Camila has very strict religeous parents who attend a church with ways that are a bit backward and she knew they would never approve of an outsider, especially one like Jed. Jed was a military sniper, has tattoos, doesn’t care what other people think and doesn’t go to church. This book isn’t religious in nature, just the parents of Camila are.

Camila’s parents church has a tradition of arranged marriages. They believe that selecting a compatible guy of their religion will lead to a long and happy marriage and love or lust isn’t something to build a relationship on. They think that religion and compatibility will turn into love once marriage occurs. Camila wants to marry for love, but knows that if she does, she will lose her parents forever. She had a great and loving upbringing so doesn’t want to lose them.

Jed comes back into the picture at the dinner before Giselle and Leland’s wedding. When an escaped killer is holding a gun on Gisselle and Camila, Jed saves them. He then signs on to help out at the ranch/winery where Camila is an accountant. Camilla is terrific, especially due to her conservative upbringing. At some point she rebelled by learning dirty words and now has a tourette’s like habit of saying every filthy word that comes into her head when she is nervous. It is both cute and hilarious.

Camila keeps either putting her foot in her mouth or making mistakes when it comes to Jed and it is fun to read. I had a great time with this book and these characters and it makes me want to read more. I truly enjoyed everything about this book and now I want to go back and pick up the books in this series that I hadn’t yet read.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

As always with Mimi's books, I loved it!!

What do you say after that?
I loved Jed, after all the months apart, he never gave up on Camila! What a guy!
And poor Camila, stuck between a rock and a hard place! lol. I think the hard place won out in the end!

Because since we met, I haven’t stopped thinking about you. And right now, I want to kiss you more than anything in this world, and it just wouldn’t be fair. Not to you. Not to me.

Cameos!!!! What else needs to be said?
Even Mimi gets a mention in her own book, well, that's not new, but just thought I'd throw it out there. I love how she does that!

“Jed, listen to me carefully,” she says through clenched teeth. “It’s almost the end of this book, and we haven’t even made out yet. So unless you’re here to pound me senseless against that wall right there . . . .

Then there's always the Mimi humor, what would a OHell No! book be without Mimi's trademark sense of humor to give us all a giggle?

I sigh, thinking about taking a quick shower. “No. Stop it.” I don’t have time for a little Jedsturbation.

So poor Camila, is fighting her attraction to Jed, and to "scare" him off she becomes outright rude to him, calling him names! Why would she do that, when shes so drawn to him? That's the rock part. Her parents! They are organising a marriage for her, with the perfect man from withing their cult oops, church. But Camila is a modern woman and has no intention of marrying someone she's never met before, she want's to fall in love (with Jed) and then get married. But, mum and dad are determined, and Camila doesn't want to lose her family. So she agrees to meet with Milton after her parents turn up, without notice, Milton in tow! Well, that's just a mimidebarkle!!! and so funny! So, set a few hours aside in your not so busy lock down day to read this great story, number 6 in the series, and enjoy it!!

Who in their right mind could come up with this stuff!!!
That'd be our much loved Mimi!!!

Awesome read!!!

Favorite Quotes:

I know a man like him doesn’t have that kind of swagger if he’s packing a ramen noodle.

Just because you’re a surgeon and smart and you’re super pretty, doesn’t mean you can walk around all “I’m so perfect.” Bet she farts in bed. A lot. I once read that doctors eat more takeout than any other profession because they’re too tired or too busy to cook, and everyone knows unhealthy food gives you the toots.

You have to look. Doesn’t even matter if you’re into someone else, that man is a snack. Like a walking, talking piece of gooey chocolate cake. The kind that even if you just ate twelve tacos and are exploding at the seams, you still can’t help appreciating how yummy it looks when it floats by on the dessert tray.

The detective eyes me suspiciously. “I’d give you a citation, but poor judgment on its own isn’t against the law.” “Thank goodness for that! Because I’d be behind bars for life.” I snort.

My Review:

I struggled with this one, it was funny and amusing with the main character of Cami having foot in mouth disease and swore like a sailor with Tourette’s Syndrome, but she wasn’t endearing or likable to me. Cami was immature, selfish, thoughtless, chronically dishonest, prone to game playing, and flippantly judgmental, even when she claimed she wasn’t. In many ways, she was as awful as her weirdly religious parents, and believe me, I know ALL about that!

The Hero asks out the heroine. She turns him down harshly even though she is attracted to him.

“I can’t go out with you, because you’re…trailer trash—just a big stupid redneck. And the only thing you have to offer a girl is a case of the clap and a rusty old pickup truck.”

“You and that cow pie you rode in on can just…fuck off!”

That was very rude of her. But she comes from a very strict family and her parents will never accept him. So she says these mean things to him.

After some six months, he ends up as her new boss. He buys the winery where she works. But it’s not because he wants a revenge. He just buys it because it seems like a good investment. Nothing to do with the her.
He respects her decision to not date him and stops any love feelings he has for her. In fact he even flirts with other woman in front of the heroine. The heroine was jealous of that.

There were many funny moments.

The hero was a nice guy.
The heroine was unlikable. I didn’t find her cussing cute. Her unnecessary use of foul language was little ott. Also she was very confused about her feelings. First she doesn’t want to hurt her parents by dating someone who they won’t accept. But then she also wants to defy them and marry for love.
So what exactly does she want anyway?
The constant pull and push between the H and h was irritating but it did create some angst, which in turn kept me reading. And by the time the book ended, it wasn’t that bad.

She’s BAAACK! Mimi Jean Pamfiloff has the cure for “shelter-in-place” boredom and a surefire way to give your funny bone a healthy workout as this enemies-to lovers romance takes off in style!

WINE HARD, BABY has it all, tension, intrigue, conflict, humor and heart all rolled into one fabulous way to escape reality! Love hot cowboys? Want to see the old switcheroo on feisty lady takes down the big man? It’s all right here in signature MJP style!

Camila may have thought she shut down that sexy cowboy in Texas, forcing him to ride off into the sunset alone, but when he shows up in Oregon at the winery she works at, let’s just say, she is no match for Jed’s Texas size charm.

Great fun, hot as sin and, as always, someone is going to find that Cupid has them in their sights, no matter what the parents say!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff! This is my honest and voluntary review.

As with any story by Mimi, this book is silly, pokes fun at itself, violates all of the romance novel rules, and somehow winds up being just plain fun!

When a nerdy, math obsessed woman whose parents are trying to rope her into an arranged marriage falls for a hot, cowboy bar owner, what’s a woman to do? Insult him and run half-way across the country to hide out at an earth-friendly winery, obviously.

Camila had met Jed in My Pen Is Huge, and the attraction between them was palpable. They could not be more different if they tried, and yet the chemistry between them proved that opposites attract. Knowing that her religious family would not accept someone outside of their faith, however, she did the only thing she could to protect herself and her relationship with her family, and makes sure that it is clear to Jed that nothing could ever happen between them. Camila settles into a new job at a winery and all is well. Yet when some time passes and Camila and Jed run into one another at the rehearsal dinner for Leland and Giselle (again, see My Pen is Huge), feelings she felt were buried come roaring back to life.

Through a series of mishaps, and lies, one hired imposter, a freaked out stabbing, an overly flirty doctor and an accountant with an unbelievably creative vocabulary of curse words that would put a seasoned sailor to shame, Camila learns that not everything with her cowboy is as simple as she thought.

I loved everything about this story and found myself giggling the entire way through. It was irreverent and silly and way over the top, and frankly just what I needed.

Mimi has written another amazing book. Wine Hard Baby was a page turner couldn't put it down. Camila with her smart inappropriate sailor mouth and Jed with all his sexy cowboy hotness. The back and forth banter between these two characters and pent up feelings totally made this book. This book will grip you right from the beginning. I would deffianlty recommend this book. Happy Reading!

Three and a half
Ok I love this authors quirky, sexy, imaginative paranormal stories and yes I don't mind occasionally dipping into her more contemporary, funny stories but sadly this didn't quite hit the mark for me. The combination of a religious group that ostracized any who thought for themselves and a cowboy hero who really wasn't that spectacular in my mind left me wanting more. Camila and Hed just have so much miscommunication issues that their romance kind of stutters along. Yes I liked that they FINALLY actually were open enough to have a happy ending but still I found this story to leave me wanting more. I do recommend this authors work but alas this story isn't my favourite by her
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

She’s a numbers loving nerd with a penchant for swearing and he’s a rugged cowboy with a laid back attitude. Put them together and it’s like a lit match and kerosene. The attraction and tension between the two characters is instant explosive. Jed and Camilla are the very definition of opposites and their fireworks are beyond entertaining.

The pair met in Austin, Texas with Cami helping Jed, a friend of a friend; assess what he can get selling his bar, quickly turned sour when he asked her out and she turned him down in a barrage of insults. 6 months later Camilla is happily settled as the controller at an Oregon winery with her calculator collection, only to have Jed reappear the night of Giselle and Leland’s (of My Pen is Huge) rehearsal dinner.

Camilla is a complex and conflicted character who is still trying to figure out how to break free from the confines of familial expectations while maintaining relationships and not torching bridges. She also has the nervous habit of spewing extensive and randomly foul language in the worst possible moments. She knows what she wants but isn’t sure she can ever have it, Jed is just another wrench in the cogs of her already messy life, as she wants him but knows she can’t have him.

Jed is a multilayered man who is more than he seems with his own host of demons to slay. After spending 6 months traveling the country in his trailer only to land as a handyman at the same winery Camilla works at. The pair are instantly at odds, tripping over themselves trying to put the past behind them and be friendly while trying and failing to not fall back into their cycle of insults and volatile attraction.

The interactions between the two are pure comedic gold as they fumble through innocently trying to make things better, but constantly one upping each other in the oh you think that’s a stupid thing to do “here hold my beer” kind of way.

Wine Hard, Baby is the 6th book in a standalone series of books with some interconnected characters, though it is a complete stand alone you will see characters from My Pen is Huge. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff has successfully built an ever growing world of lightly connected people with a theme of enemies to lovers with a whole lot of nerdisms and sexy thrown in. Her masterful use of Snark, Sass, Sexy and humor makes for a quick fun read with characters you want to hang out with in real life. Here’s to hoping she keeps them going in the future because they are a one click buy for sure.

A hot cowboy who’s more than meets the eye. A numbers nerd who’s caught between a rock and a hard place. And a whole lot of crazy chemistry. That, in a nutshell, is Wine Hard, Baby. Which was every bit as engaging and satisfying as you would expect from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff.

Leave it to MJP to keep readers on their toes in the midst of a pandemic with a will-they-won’t-they type romance that was filled with giddy highs and fairly devastating lows. I’ve got to admit that I didn’t see things working out between Cami and Jed. But I knew MJP wouldn’t let us down... Read More

Wine Hard, Baby is the perfect Covid quarantine escape. It was light-headed, shockingly hysterical, but still managed to choke me with emotions. I thought that WH,B had a very unique and clever plot. It amazes me how this author is always able to shake things up and always manages to suprise the wine outta ya. Camie and Jed are the perfect counterbalance for eath other. Camies inter monologue took me by suprise so many times I would un expectedly burst out laughing. Highly recommended as always. Pamillof just reinforced her "one click author" status yet again.

Hot cowboy? Yes, please! Hot cowboy written by Mimi Jean? Yes, pretty please!! I could not put this one down!
What happens when a hot cowboy meets a nerdy numbers girl, with a insanely funny penchant for cussing like a sailor when she's nervous? Throw in a winery in a quiet town in Oregon, a strict religious upbringing with an arranged marriage on the horizon for our girl Camila and another chance meet with hot Texas cowboy Jed, but is it really a chance meeting? Me thinks not.
This book was one heck of a rollercoaster ride, I had to sit and catch my breath when I finished it. Mimi Jean throws in more curves, characters and twisty turns than a line dance at Jed's old bar.
I'm not going to regurgitate the blurb, that about covers it. This one must be read to be fully appreciated and I'd never deny you the pleasure.
I will tell you that this book has the best kind of angsty conflict, both between the characters and within the characters themselves. They are two walking contradictions and the author really nails that between them. It's ridiculously funny, Mimi Jean manages to loop in characters from previous books and that just adds to the fun and convoluted story line that I will give you whiplash!
Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in this one. It's non-stop delicious and you won't be able to put it down.

I struggled with my rating on this, I mean it has the usual fun and quirky humour of the rest of the OHellNo series. It also has a sexy cowboy and a nerdy girl, lots of banter and plenty of crazy moments too. I read it all, I smiled and swooned, so it wasn't terrible but I just wanted... more. The authors writing voice and quality is a 4 but the story was nothing more than an ok 2. In fact I would describe this as cotton candy, very sweet as it melts on the tongue, but ultimately there is very little substance to it.

The characters whilst pleasant were quite one dimensional, the funny moments more like random sketches in a comedy show and I'm not sure if I ever really found a plot in there. I wish I had liked it more, because on paper it had so much to like about it, but it just somehow missed the mark for me. I also have to question how they fell in love because there weren't that many interactions between them, nor any genuine getting to know each other moments. The whole story was just one long rinse and repeat of nothing much really, too much deliberate miscommunication.

Maybe I was looking for too much from this book, it's a quick, easy and very light read, and perhaps that's all it needs to be.

OHellYes!!! Cami & Jed are hilarious, hot, & sweet!!

I love the OHellNo books!! Always a great break from the stress of reality.

And this one was no exception to that tradition! I sat down to read this tonight and I'm sure my neighbors wonder if I'd lost my mind (since they all know I live alone) and I was laughing hysterically most of the evening...and talking to my Kindle.

Cami is a good girl with a nerve induced potty mouth. My goodness, she'd make a sailor blush. Jed is one hot cowboy. And Cami finds him infuriating...and arousing.

Their sparks keep lighting fires but not the right ones. Instead we get some hilarious, and precarious, situations instead.

We also get some prior characters from the bookiverse...after all Cami & Jed know Giselle & Leland plus there's a nutty hitman. Plus Cami's boss Hector, her family, and more...so much fun!!!!

I Floved this!! Absotively, posilutely, fantabulous!!

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

While this is an amazing stand alone story, it does contain characters we have met in a previous book. Camilla, best friend of Giselle from His Pen is Huge, agrees to do a favor and give her opinion of the value of a cowboy bar in Austin. The owner of the bar just happens to be a red hot cowboy and lust is in the air. Afraid of her own feelings, she says terrible things to him and runs! When we next find her, she has settled into a new job in a winery in Oregon. She loves the job but knows she can’t stay forever. She comes from a very religious family who believe in arranged marriages. Having already dodged one marriage, she knows it’s just a matter of time until they find her another. Her boss tells her that he has sold the winery so that he can retire. Oddly, the new suit who is introduced as the new owner but the other new employee is, of course, out hot cowboy. Feelings are all over the place. She wants him but because of her family, she knows she can’t have him and keep her family. He seems to not wasn’t her anymore. Will they? Won’t they? Lots of laughs and plot twists as always. Great read!

Okay Wine Hard, Baby is a good, fun read about a numbers nerd with the foul mouth of a sailor with tourette's and a self educated cowboy. The sexual tension can be cut with a knife as these two fight the attraction as well as each other. Mimi does it again with this laugh out loud romantic comedy. Between all the little Easter eggs for her fans, the fantastic characters, and all the hilarity and hijinks this is a fun book

Yall this book.  I seriously snort laughed my way through it.  I had to re-read a lot of it because of the laughter.  Ms. Pamfiloff has the greatest knack for off the wall, goofy, smile-inducing, tears of joy, and just a knack for sassy, snarky dialogue but this book is her best yet.  Imagine your school librarian with a serious case of a sailor's mouth.  That is our heroine, Camila.  If you are even the bit offended by cussing, then this book is not for you but trust me, the cussing makes sense and it's hilarious.  My own mother cusses like a sailor, too but nothing like Camila.

Cussing aside, this book has a very valid point to it.  Acceptance.  Never judge a book by its cover and tolerance.  I'm probably one of the most tolerant people but unfortunately, there are people like Camila's parents.  Not to mention Milton, her intended.  Tell you what, Milton shines in his final scene and I loved it.  It's heartfelt, emotional, and funny as heck.  Poor Milton but it sets up a later scene with Camila.  All Camila wants is to marry for love, what's wrong with that?  With a hot cowboy that has a lot of layers?  Why not.

Jed is the type of hero that I tend to love right from the beginning.  He's sexy, funny, and at times, full of himself but it works.  After being turned away from Camila and one of her cussing episodes, I couldn't help but feel that fell in love with her right then and there.  But he is more than just a pretty face and a hot body.  He has feelings, reads books, and smart.  He went through a lot growing up and doesn't understand why Camila's parents are the way there are.  Between all the charades at the winery, we get to see a man that has the patience of a saint and a good heart.

Gisselle and Leland make appearances in the book and oh how I missed them.  They had laughter and levity to the romance between Jed and Camila.  I almost got really pissed off during this book in regard to them but I understand why Ms. Pamfiloff did what she did with them.  Yes, I'm putting it out there Ms. Pamfiloff.  You made me mad.

There is a line in the book that still makes me laugh regarding having the big smexy time in the book.  Camila says it and I swear I scared my dog when I snorted so loud.  It was perfect but then again, that is the dialogue that Ms. Pamlifoff is so wonderful with.  Her characters actually talk to each other.  Refreshing.

This series is one of the best that I have read.  You do not have to read them in order because each stands alone.  However, do yourself a favor and read them.  They are funny, sexy and the characters are strong.  No damsels in distress or men that are douchebags.  Just great reads all the way around.

Omg ... so friggin hilarious!!
I absolutely love every single thing that Mimi writes and this was no exception. Wine Hard, Baby brought so many emotions from me... but mostly laughter. Camilla and Jeds story was just what I needed. You first meet these two characters in My Pen is Huge and the chemistry was off the charts awesome. Since Camilla knows her family won't approve of Jed, she says the meanest things just so he won't tempt her anymore. She leaves Texas behind to work at a winery thinking she'll never see him again. The only problem is that they are both in their friends wedding.
Camilla has so many different challenges that she has to face. First there's what happens at the wedding rehearsal dinner, then finding out she had a new boss, and let's not forget the $90,000 she accidentally lost the company...and the new boss seems like a complete tool. But of a course there's always more than meets the eye. Jed is an amazing man and Camilla just can't help but to fall more & more for him. Her family, though, is absolutely insane if they think and arranged marriage will ever work - LOL.

There were so many funny parts, but you're gonna have to read it yourself so you can laugh as well at Camilla's antics!!
I absolutely recommend this book!!

I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

Omg what a book I got so into it that I forgot the time yes it was very early in morning when I finished about 4am I was so engaged with the story line I couldn't put it down.
Theres alot going on for Cami she's a conflicted female character with a great potty mouth lol (who is great relatable character) and is so wrapped up in a red hot sexy cowboy Jed (who I'd love to meet lol) but theres also her strict faith upbringing to deal with that she doesn't know what to do. Cami can't help but enjoy her wine even though shes not suppose to drink and she so can't help but wanting Jed the sexy cowboy who makes her dream of everything her faith and strict upbringing have told her she can't have. Theres also the fact she's supposed to be getting married to a complete stranger well so her parents say but she doesn't want an arranged marriage theres something missing from that, that she desires with all her heart.
How is her life so complicated she wants to marry for love but how can she do that an not alienate her parents and the community in which she was brought up in.
Omg what's a girl to do but follow her hearts desires an make the man of her dreams a reality and hopefully her family understand and accept.. Ohh and wine hard baby lol 🙂

From the moment that Cami met Jed she was very attracted to him but she also knew that he could never be a part of her life so when he made his interest apparent she was quick to let him know that there could be nothing between them. She was quite firm in her turndown, so she never expected to see him again, but she is about to find out that fate had other plans.

Jed was enchanted by Cami from their first meeting so when he finds himself at the winery where she works, he is determined to not let this opportunity go waste. He knows that they belong together and now he just needs to convince her.

What a fun story this turned out to be and the interactions between them will have you laughing out loud. Jed is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy while Cami is conflicted between love and loyalty and she must decide what she can and can’t live without.

First of all, there's a special kind of appreciation and respect for an indie publisher who dedicates her book, in part, to toilet paper, promising it her undying gratitude. If that doesn’t set the tone for snark and sarcasm with an undercurrent of heart, I don’t know what does.

Camila comes from a very religious background, one where her parents choose a husband for her, so she absolutely cannot be drooling over the charming cowboy with tattoo sleeves from the wrong side of the tracks. Everything is perfect in her life, until said cowboy, Jed, shows up first at Camila's BFF's wedding, and later at her job.

Not only is the winery where Camila works in Oregon, and several states away from his home in Texas, but Jed gets a job at the winery and plans to stay for awhile. Camila will be the first to tell you how unfair the universe is, putting all that yummy temptation in front of her every day when she. Can’t. Have. It!

With lots of humor and a deliciously torturous slow burn, this book is also a reminder to look beyond the surface to the heart of a person and to reserve passing judgement at first glance. This captivating, hilarious, heartfelt story practically reads itself and is one you won’t want to miss!

This is a standalone so no fear if you haven't read the series yet, there is some hints at others books and it's funny to see the characters speaking about the author's work but if it's your first book by her you will be able to enjoy it without any trouble.
There is romance, lot of bad mouth , steamy scene and great characters.

honestly i don't think i would be as courageous as Camilla, yes she cuss a lot ( too much) , yes she can act stupid and too childish but deep down she is a good woman and deserve to be happy.
Jed had a difficult life and he hasn't come in peace with it yet even if he thinks so and when Camilla push him away he is both sad and determined to win that lead to some funny situation.

It was really a good book to put our mind out of the actual situation. it you love steamy funny romance and don't mind cussing this is the book for you

This is actually the first of this series of books, even though I have all the rest waiting in my kindle.
This was a great escape from the trials of our everyday life at the moment. Fun and games with a cute cowboy and his ‘good girl’. Jed was quite the gentleman but Cami couldn’t half make him blush. She’s a handful and Jed certainly knows what to do with his hands… full or not, lol.
They have chemistry for miles and miles, but are complete opposites and you know what they say about them. Welp, these two were like matchsticks and gunpowder. Put them together and watch the explosion.
I really enjoyed my introduction to this crazy, zany world and now I’m off to start at the beginning with Smart Ass which is available for free!!!

Mimi Jean never fails to deliver an entertaining story!
This one was laugh-out-loud hilarious at times and heartfelt in others. It was all perfectly blended to make a magnificent story with underlying themes I absolutely loved.
There is a line that truly grabbed hold of me near the end that I absolutely loved.
Look forward to her next book.

Mimi Jean Pamfiloff strikes again with Wine Hard Baby; a romance that is offbeat and humorous with a few serious undertones that only she so deftly creates. It's about finding a balance between duty to family, being true to your own desires and the mental stress caused by juggling the two. If you don't laugh at the strings of epithets that pour out of Cami's when she's nervous, afraid or angry or her mental ramblings and the outrageous situations she and Jed find themselves in, then you don't have a sense of humor.

I throughly loved reading the phenomenal and extraordinary romance story. When Cami first meets the handsome, irresistible, and charming Jed, she says awful things to him, so he won't be interested in her. Jed ends up saving her life at her best friend's wedding, Giselle, and is now working at the winery Cami works at, and Jed tells her flat out he is not interested in her anymore. Cami's parents love her, want the best for her, and are planning an arranged marriage for Cami. Cami knows that if she lets her attraction for Jed get the best of her, she will lose her parents. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, riveting story line with captivating characters, and a must read love story.

Feelings get turned all the way up and set the roof on fire. Jed and Camila deliver more than a little spice. Pamfiloff thrives on the unpredictable and Wine Hard Baby has that quality in spades. Jed and Cami bring out the best in each other at the worst of times. She speaks her mind and follows her heart. He bides his time and always has a plan. Sparks fly, tempers ignite and hormones explode in the most savory of ways. You can't go wrong when the three H's (Humor, Heart and Heat) come out to play.
