Another great volume!
I loved the fighting scenes and the Guts going berserk and consequences of it scenes were so powerful and vivid.

mild spoilers:
- who is that kid??? WHO IS IT???
- I like the change of setting but I'm nervous about the squad around so many people
- The blond witch girl make me nervous

Guts, Guts, Guts. He has swiftly become my favorite character and he remains there still.
Shierke and Guts relationship is so lovely.

This is the review of Berserk Vol 28 AKA 100 ways to chop a crocodile
First of all who is the kid that looks like a kushan but evidently he is not a kushan and he looks like a possible son of Griffith and Casca but we know what happened to that son and he looks like a possible son of Casca and Guts and we know what happened to that son as well
so who is

Finally, some hope for Casca! It's nice to see something Guts can hope for besides revenge on Griffith. I can't help but wonder that if Casca finds herself, and they find Griffith, will she remember what happened during the eclipse? Will she be able to forgive Griffith? Or will she want revenge as much as Guts? ...more

A calmer chapter. Characters develop. Schierke develops her rapor with Guts.

The gang moves into an army occupied city. Guts deals with the Berserker armor to fight off some possessed crocodiles.

It moves along our group but is relatively calm and pleasant.

Guts's interactions with Schierke were sweet and the art remains fantastic, but other than that this volume was a letdown. The plot is moving very slowly, the beast armor doesn't feel as significant as it should because Guts is immediately using it again in order to take out some uninteresting fodder in an action segment I don't care for at all. The introduction of the moonlight boy also felt out of place and sudden. ...more

This is the 28th volume in the Berserk series. Guts and company are trying to resume their journey to Puck’s elven homeland. Two things happen on this leg of the journey; one is that Casca finds a strange boy on the beach that she seems to share a strong bond with, the second is that they are attacked by lizard monsters.

Guts is still recovering from the horrible wounds he received from Zodd; now he must done the Berserker Armor again to protect his traveling companions. After that battle Guts a

This volume is “a fearsome assault on the senses. A complex blend of horror, humor and action. Berserk is definitely not for the faint of heart, the weak of stomach, or anyone who still needs to sleep with the lights on.” Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much. The child that shows up in this volume is a puzzle. This is something off about him, but he does look very cute with Guts and Casca. If you’ve made it this far in the series, there’s not much I need to say. If you’ve made it th ...more

We got to see the Skull knight once more, got a new piece of information about the last owner of the berserker armor, got a new target to reach the elf king to return Casca's soul
And we got to see the Berserker in action.
Was introduced to a new character, a kid with now name, he did not say a word appeared and disappeared in a single issue, cute as hell, sensing that we will see him again!
Great artwork, cool looking crocodiles :p

Interacting with Shierke brings out more human side of Guts?
I am somewhat liking it but I know it's Berserk and such things are fleeting.
This volume has my favorite cover in the series for a couple of reasons. Its really nice to see Miura frame something so beastly as the Berserker armor on the cover, and the coloring is exquisite. We also find out that the moon brings out the strongest magic, for better or for worse. This volume starts with an incredibly moving scene. Guts and Schiereke discuss their personal issues on the beach. Despite being so young, Schiereke puts up a wall against mourning Flora because of her faith in magi ...more

awhh i really enjoyed the “the kite n the owl of the wharf” chapter, i wonder if griffith’s medium is still with them? i’m assuming they wouldn’t let her leave the band like that so maybe it’s just the guts n them are getting really close to where griffith n the band is? either way really nice writing, am excited to see where it’s gonna go, schierke’s lil crush/admiration of guts is so cute, also soo curious about the kid...

This really is an excellent series. Berserker armor is awesome. More mysteries, including a child. Can't wait to read more. (maybe I get one for Valentines day, but most likely would be Fathers Day, so it will be awhile, which is good. the author needs to stay ahead of me). ...more

I absolutely love this series. It's one of my favorite things. The level of detail Miura puts into the art always baffles me and this issue was no different. We get to meet a few new characters and see some glorious Guts and Serpico acting. Can I just give Shrieke a huge hug? ...more

This is the first volume in a long time that sparks some long awaited hope, which in turns poses some interesting questions about a new found, and lost again, boy. However, a new ultimatum seems to have surfaced in the form of an armour that brings Guts’ fight with himself to a boiling point.

The group that has joined Guts continues their journey and comes to the sea. The episode deals with what happens to them upon their arrival. It is a good graphic novel series.
