Companion Volume to Solo Guitar Playing Vol. 1 Studies different Classical styles (Late Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, Classical.) When finished the student should be able to play the two "concert masterpieces" included with the book, Recuerdos de la Alhambra (a piece I neither enjoy listening to or playing) and Estudio Brillante de Alard. One of the most valuable things for me was the inclusion of Giuliani's Exercises for the Right Hand, found in Lesson Four: Arpeggios. After working through those, no fingerstyle piece has presented problems, with the exception of Leyenda (I have problems with the triplet pattern switching from ascending to descending.)

This book picks up where the previous one left off and there are more advanced songs and exercises in this than the last going up in reading positions as well as sight reading difficulty, it still has many guiding tips to keep your playing advancing as well as songs to play/perform. Great idea, excellent execution.
