SAPD SWAT #6

Frisked by You

Rate this book
Declan just can’t help himself some days. Getting into some sort of trouble just seems like second nature most days. It’s no surprise when Declan makes a reckless move during a SWAT call and ends up in the hospital with a stab wound. What is surprising is that he finds the woman of his dreams...and future fantasies. Too bad instead of being smooth, the pain medication made him a slurring fool.
Aimee doesn’t really have much faith in humanity these days, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. It definitely comes as no surprise that her latest patient is probably problematic. Why else would all of those big police officers be standing near him? What she doesn’t expect is for the man on the gurney to be the most spectacular male specimen that she’s ever seen.
Declan decides to take it upon himself to make sure that his hot nurse accepts his invitation for a date. Too bad she doesn’t agree. In fact, the more Aimee tries to ignore the sexy cop, the more places he seems to “accidentally” pop up. It almost seems like Declan is stalking her, which is crazy. He’s a police officer. They don’t stalk people...they arrest stalkers.....right?

Nikki Mays is a pen name that was created from her maiden name. She is a wife and mother, who lives in a small town in New Jersey. She has been with her husband for well over a decade and is surprised that he's still alive. She has 3 small boys that she loving refers to as her hellions. Seriously, they only look sweet and innocent. She began writing as a creative outlet after becoming a stay at home mom. She decided that she needed something exclusively for herself, not just being mommy. She has two crazy boxers that legitimately think that they're humans but graciously share "their" couch with the rest of the family. Besides writing and spending time with her little hellions, she enjoys cooking and baking. She has recently taken up gardening and made her loving husband plant her a mini fruit tree orchard, that unfortunately deer get to eat more of than she does. Life living in the woods can be a pain at times! Nikki loves to be stalked by her readers and encourages all interaction.

Aimee decided after her ex-fiancee and best friend hooked up in her bed that she was done, done with men and done with getting her heart broken. Then she meets Declan as a patient in the ER and little does she know he is smitten and decided she is his one. Trying to convince Aimee though is an uphill battle but will he convince her or will her walls keep them apart?

This was a lot of fun. New to me author and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this one. Declan is a bit of a goof but he is so charming with Aimee. Aimee is feisty and I look forward to checking out more by this author.

The boys are back in town, boys are back in town, ey ey! Ok so I had this 80's song stuck with me when I saw this book was out..I love my corrupt swat team..I love them.. I had originally started this series with Mark and Kayla whom I loved and still love and when I was reading there book, Declan had won my heart also so I was always waiting for his story and I was ecstatic when it came out.. Still love him and I have to say we found the perfect woman for him, Aimee. There were times that I wanted to smack her and tell her "wake the hell up" but she did and I liked her for Declan since he is my baby. I loved that the whole clan had some interaction with these two but I specially loved that Damon and Mark were the most to interact since they were the most to spend time with him oh and Kayla (wish she had a little more) but I can't complain.. All in all loved it and even though Danny is not part of the Swat team he is important to the stories and very involved so I hope we get either a new series or a standalone with him he totally deserves his own story and we can not forget Mason-Kayla's brothers or ex-brothers in law if you want to be technical I however see them as brothers..Ok no more rambling all in all I just want you guys to read this.

Nikki Mays never fails to make me smile when I read one of her books, and Declan’s story does just that.

Frisked by You carries on this incredibly funny, emotional series that I am a huge fan of.

We get the hotness, we get the drama, and the underlying comedy is genius throughout.
Declan & Aimee’s story shows the struggle that she has to trust again. It shows how she needs to let go of her past pain in order to move forward.
And Declan, well, he’s just as swoon-worthy as the rest of the hunks in this series!
Five stars!

This was an okay read. Declan is the type of guy that likes to goof off. One day his choice costs him. He ends up in the hospital and the nurse ends up being the woman he has been crushing on. He of course tries to get her to go out with him. She turns him down but he continuously tries. Thankfully by the end she is willing to give him a chance. This would have gone better if Aimee wasn't so insecure and other things weren't so far fetched.

Conclusion and final couple Declan and Aimee’s story!

I really enjoyed this one. It had a really good epilogue. My only complaint was that I wish the epilogue included the whole gang since it was the last book, but maybe we will get a novella reunion book.

I absolutely loved this series!

Frisked by You is book 6 in the SAPD SWAT series by Nikki May and it is quite hilarious and sweet! Frisked by you tells the story of Declan and Aimee. Declan ends up in the hospital one night due to his job and no other than Aimee is his nurse, to say that he made a fool of himself is an understatement, but it was still hilarious, especially since it was recorded by his work colleagues who like nothing more than to joke with each other. Declan can’t forget the wonderful nurse who treat him and takes on a little bit of his brother Damon and decided to try and persuade Aimee ‘stalk’ her into taking a chance on him.

Aimee has been burned before so she is reluctant to get into another relationship, especially with a man who doesn’t suffer from an ego and has washboard abs! But her friends aren’t going to let her fear hold her back. When her friend is attacked, Declan and the rest of him buddies’ step in to find out who did it, which only helps to plant him more firmly into Aimee’s heart.

I loved the banter between the characters in this book which made the seriousness of part of the story a little lighter but no less page turning. Declan and Aimee just work; Aimee for her snarkiness and Declan for his jokes and helping Aimee not to take herself so seriously. The camaraderie between Declan and his work brothers is strong and hilarious as are the relationships between their wives. Aimee definitely fits right into the group with her tequila drinking!

If you’re looking for a feel good, sexy read with some great characters then this series as a whole is one for you!

4.25⭐

Frisked by You is the first book I've read in the SAPD SWAT Series, and also the first I've read by Nikki Mays. And honestly, it was a terrific way to be introduced to both the series and author. As this was such an entertaining, easy, well written, fun, and sweet romance. That also possessed a serious secondary plot. Which was handled well, and balanced nicely with plenty of humour and banter from the two primary characters. One of which was sassy and stubborn the other determined and delicious. And I was easily absorbed throughout. Not to mention I enjoyed all the supporting cast from Aimee's best friend Stacey and gay roommate Brad to Declan's twin brother Damon and friend Marc. But mostly I really loved all the camaraderie between the group and frankly, I never felt like I was missing anything being that I'm so late to the series. And I would, certainly recommend this story to others and will unquestionably be one clicking each book I've missed out on.

This was okay. The h was super annoying and the H was super over confident, at first. Once we get past that it was a pretty cute read. The hate crime against Brad is what really sucked me in. Plus, the H wasn't a man-ho. I just hate that a lot of these women have such low self-esteem.

Great end to the series! Honestly there isn't a book in the series i didn't love. My only regret is I read it in KU so I need to go buy the books to have them forever!! Declan throughout the series has shown himself to be a fiercely loyal friend. The book opens with that loyalty on display when he gets injured on the job so that nothing happens to his friends who all have wives and kids. His nurse in the ER is Aimee and in a drug induced stupor from his pain meds, he hits on her in hilarious fashion. She attributes it to the drugs but his equally loyal and observant twin knows there's more to it and gets her info. In keeping with the prior antics of the alphaholes in the series and for which his twin holds the title - he stalks her. He saves her from an awkward encounter and claims a date as his reward. An encounter with his ex causes her insecurities to rise to the surface and she retreats from him. I was irritated by this turn of events, until it lead to a great scene where his twin "runs" into her and finds out in typical Damon fashion why she ghosted Declan. Their romance back on track, hilarity continues to ensue. While she, unlike characters from previous books doesn't have a stalker, the backstory which results in a brutal attack on her roomie/bestie and culminates in a threat to her is heartbreaking. The guys ride in to save the day but like the other strong heroines of the series, Aimee aids in her own rescue until help arrives.

I'm sad to see the series end but super happy to see there's a spinoff series featuring the Ross brothers. Yay. I'll make a plea here for Danny, Dee and the next generation to get their own books - at a minimum a trilogy featuring the triplets of terror is a must!!

I've been waiting for this one!

So, Declan and Aimee's story was great. They are sweet and I loved their banter. Their story didn't disappoint. The editing was better but the word "drool" was used instead of "droll" throughout the entire book...

However, there were a lot of loose ends left for a last book in a series. Who was Stacey secretly dating? Does Danny end up alone? What's going on with Mason and Kellie? Does Brad get over the bad stuff and start dating again? I wish the epilogue also had a group setting so we know how many kids ended up in the "expanding extended family." I'm sure Mellie/Morris, Damon/Doll and Rocco/Lav all had more.

After so much emphasis on the side characters this left way too many holes in it. If we got a follow up, even just a novella, to fill in the holes I'd change this to a 4-star.

DNF. There was little character development so I couldn’t feel the chemistry. Both MC’s were pretty frustrating but I really disliked Aimee. She came off like an asshole sometimes (and her past is no excuse). Don’t even get me started on her reaction to finding out Declan’s family was rich. I cheered when Declan basically dumped her ass after that and her friends sided with him. Good riddance. That’s the point that I threw in the towel.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you want more with the chemistry and romance.

Loved this book from the beginning. Declan is a police SWAT officer who finds himself in the hospital and Aimee is his nurse. After opening his eyes it is love at first sight but she was not feeling it at least that she led on. The push and pull of these two is heartwarming and I loved every minute of this story.

This is romantic, entertaining and amusing. When Declan lands himself in the hospital, he finds the woman of his fantasies. Aimee isn't impressed by him though, and turns him down when he asks her out. But Declan is not going to give up that easily, so he keeps putting himself in front of her. When she does eventually give him a chance, things turn steamy. Things don't immediately become good between them, but it was entertaining to follow their progress.

I liked this book because of the characters and how they interacted with each other. I liked Declan because he was a really silly person who has a way about that makes you want to laugh at him or hit him. Aimee wasn't very trusting because of a couple of people in her past and that made Declan have to work harder to be a part of her life.

The last goofball

Man, I didn't want this story to end, but let me tell you, the laughs still came, and a story that will break your heart. The guys are still a riot and will always be.
Aimee and Declan are perfect together. Their banter is on point.

This is a great series im sad to see end.

Declan Wins Hands Down

Aimee is a nurse in the emergency room when Declan is brought in. This is the last book of this series and dealt with some horrid things that happen unfortunately daily. But love these two and their love story. This series was funny, and over the too with the Insta love, but it was all good. Just wished Danny had his story.

Loved this book & Nikki Mays' work.

The SPAD Swat series was amazing. Loved it!. They are the best romantic comedy books I've ever read. The plot was great, the characters awesome, the sex scenes steamy & the dialogue hilarious. I haven't laughed so much I'm a long time. Thank you Nikki! I hope that Danny & Stacey get their own book (hopefully together).

I liked Declan in all the other books but I just couldn't with this book. I felt myself skimming through most of the book. Felt annoyed through most of the book because it felt like it was the same stuff over and over. 3 stars is higher than I feel for it but I know authors put their hearts into their books so I can't give worse.

Twice the Sarcasm Twice the Fun

Declan and Aimee are made for each other! The whole SAPD SWAT team returns in this engaging story as the fun loving twin meets his match in the curvy, sarcastic ED nurse. Sparks fly between these no holds barred characters as their battle of wits quickly become foreplay.

I can’t believe this is the end! Declan’s story was everything I could have hoped for and more! We didn’t just get Aimee in his story, we also got Brad and Stacey. (I feel like I need to know their stories too.) So much laughter! I can’t remember the last time I’ve enjoyed an entire series so much - and laughed so much! I will definitely be checking out the rest of Nikki Mays’ books.

I was recommended this series as I was in a reading funk and thought I would give it a go and I'm so glad I did. The characters are really funny and had me laughing out loud so many times. I'm now moving on to more books by this author. If your reading this review then do yourself a favour and read this series you will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this one! I loved Declan! His personality was by far my favorite in this series and Aimee fit him perfectly! The storyline was kinda slow but it worked. This one I would say is my favorite of the series followed by Rocco’s story. Super sweet story overall with very little drama.

Declan and his Hellcat

I wasn’t sure about this one. At first I thought it was just trying to be funny. The more I read, the better the banter became including the funny. This one has drama, crazy friends, trauma, and a funny crazy couple who manage to get it right. Enjoyed.
