There was an angel boy named Fred who had a pretty hard time growing up as an angel and wanted to prove himself to all the other angels but in order to do that he had to urn his wings.

My favorite early childhood book. :o) Great illustrations.

Loved this book as a child. Still like it as an adult, but now the 'religious' aspect of it shines through a bit more and I find that a lot less appealing than I might have (if I'd noticed) as a child.
