Glenn Olson was kicking back, playing a session of Five Wars Online—his favorite VRMMORPG—when something happened and he woke up to find his synaptic implant fried.
Next thing he knows, he’s starting to feel a weird hunger that won’t let him be no matter how much he eats. As it turns out, he was assaulted by a Lust Demon while he lay there unconscious, and was himself changed into one when his digital assistant quarantined the threat to save him and disrupted its spell.
As a result of the interaction between the sandboxed succubus and the game he was playing at the moment, Glenn now has access to a character sheet full with life points, stats and a long list detailing all his new abilities. All in all, it wouldn’t be that bad if he didn’t learn that those life points are directly tied to his sexual satiation, and should those points reach zero, he would die.
Now a Fledgling Incubus, Glenn will have to obey the same rules as other Lust Demons to survive—that is to locate new preys and bed them at all costs. There’s a small problem though. Contrary to regular demons, Glenn isn’t about to just jump on unsuspecting women during their sleep and ravage them until death ensues. And thus, he probably won’t be able to draw enough life points, as killing their victims is the main way for his kind to satiate their hunger.
His back against the wall, Glenn will have to explore alternative ways to earn his points and stay alive, and ultimately gain enough experience to level up and add new skills to his repertoire. But first things first, he needs to find women to test his new skills on and experiment.
Join Glenn as he builds a harem of willing ladies and discovers that the key to his survival is to concentrate on their pleasure and bring them to orgasm after orgasm...
Warning: this book includes harem elements, adult situations, game mechanics and explicit language. Read at your own peril.
One star for one simple reason. Having the girls sleep around, including one of them having something that others refer to as "her own harem" where she gets stuffed airtight by the guys regularly makes this just a porn story, not a harem. This is simply not a harem, it's a story where the guy has some casual friends with benefits who all sleep around with others too.
This isn't helped by the fact that the MC in usual E.M. Hardy fashion is a complete and utter doormat. If you've read his Warlord Archaeologist series. That MC looks like a decisive, intelligent, character fit for leadership who knows how to stand up for himself, compared to the MC of this story.
Seriously though, for crying out loud, stop slapping a harem tag on stories which are basically just porn with no romance or commitment and see the harem members sleep around or have their own harems. You're NOT appeasing the detractors of the genre that way, they'll still hate you and try to tear you down. All you do is piss of folks who might normally like the genre. Trying to appease everyone will end up pissing of most everyone.
For me it was a downhill ride a soon as the author made him into a break willed person. One take i hate is when the MC male or female just rolls over. And well this MC is as one of the characters describe him a beta-male. If your into the hole been a submissive man to a women(mistress) then go all for it if not I recommend leaving it. I fought my self all the way from like the third chapter because I thought something would change bit it didn't.
This just didn't do it for me. It seemed to not move as much as I thought it should have for the word count. There were a lot of flashbacks which were partially resolved and may be designed to resolve over further books. I'll give #2 a try if it shows up, but that'll have to set the hook or I'll not carry on with it. Not a bad book, but it just didn't land in my strike zone.
Not a happy or fun book. The MC is a sociopath with deep trauma in his past. I guess he is a good guy, but can't ever tell if it is genuine. The whole book I was just filled with tension and was depressed. Not a fun book. Don't recommend. Especially now that it is so old without a second book, so no resolution for any of the constant trauma in this one.
I was stunned by this one, I have to say. I expected a smutty novel and I got sex, emotions, mystery, frustration and I didn’t put it down until I read the whole sha-bang. The MC makes me want to cuddle him and make him go to therapy.
Different than you average male centric erotic fantasy.
More complex character and a focus on cooperation and getting along. Female characters with more depth as well with a variety of goals and personalities
I love this book it is fun for those of the light bdsm though the heavier stuff is mention. The main character is likable not being typical main anime character or a huge jerk who needs to grow up. And actually show dark side of male sexual abuse without making a mockery of it. Not to mention that the story made hungry for sequel.
Okay the book was great and everything and the writing and everything like that but I have some complaints about the MC for some reason he's a goddamn broken weakling to every female around him and from his past I'm guessing that he had a really bad with females and getting broken status and because that Annie person always seems to walk all over him without him ever fighting back for some reason and it gets annoying because he's a goddamn demon of lust why the hell is he allowing some Mortal human woman who beat his ass in his past two tell him what to do now overall I'd say this was a pretty good bug nice Harem and everything like that but the main MC needs to grow some balls I don't like how he gets pretty much intimidated by any female or any aggressive action towards him
I picked this book up mainly because of the title, seemed to be working a different take on the occult. I enjoyed the character development, and look forward to the next book, simply because there are no limits where the story can go. Highly recommended for those looking for a fresh take on a tired genre.
A good clean enjoyable harem novel it was firty but not excessively so and actually kept to the litrpg format pretty good. A working simple character sheet that actually mattered and the authors stayed loyal to. No having the mc soloing a mob 30 levels beyond him. I'll be lookin forward to book 2.
Not just sex, but plot and motive. It was well written and well edited a joy to read. I am looking forward to read the next book. Although the MC is broken and has got emotional problems, he is no sociopath. The author managed to occasionally surprise me, which is nice! I hate books where you can guess the end after just reading 2 pages...
This book was very different then other books on Barnes and I really enjoyed that. I like how it progressed and I am very curios to see what happens next. I will be buying the next book in the series, when it comes out.
