This is the first book that I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. This story had suspense, steam and plenty of romance. Sadie and Reed were so good together. They had a very good chemistry that was just coming off the pages. Good storyline with wonderful characters. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

When Sadie goes undercover for her next story, she never imagines falling so hard for the club owner. And now she faces making a tough decision: write the story and reap the professional benefits, AND lose the man she loves. OR. Don't turn in the story, and save the man she loves from going to prison. It's black and white and she has to choose.

But perhaps it's not all black and white. Can she do the right thing and still keep the man? Or just do the right thing, the consequences be damned, w

Almost from the beginning this book was at a disadvantage with me. I realize that the other woman drama becomes an important part of the story later, so it was necessary for the plot. But it angered me that one of the very first scenes we see the “hero” in, we have to witness him being intimate with one of those other women. This did not make him a sympathetic character, and I never fully warmed up to him after that. Especially not when Reed’s go-to reaction to strike back at Sadie was to flaunt ...more

Sadie takes on an undercover investigation and the last thing on her mind is romance.
Reed is the owner of the bar and will not commit to any female.
Sadie takes the job at the bar and the attraction between Sadie and Reed cannot be denied.
Sadie has tough decisions to make with regard to her undercover assignment or her feelings for Reed.
A thoroughly enjoyable book to read...but I have to admit the last quarter was rushed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another book I had in my e-reader for ages. 🤪😂

This was a light hearted story that’s been a slight departure from what I’ve been reading lately but was enjoyable. Sadie finally gets the break she’s always wanted by going undercover as a journalist but when she meet the handsome owner, Reed, she’s not sure if she can through with it. Either she ruins him or ruins her. This was a new author for me but I’d read her work again.

Sadie is a journalist that is told by most that she doesn't have the backbone to investigate. She really wants to prove everyone wrong. Reed owns a bar that has a secret. What happens when Sadie begins to dig into that secret? This was an enjoyable read. I liked Reed for the most part. He is a playboy and a jerk. I felt bad for him that he was kind of forced into a situation through no fault of his own. I liked Sadie too, but her inability to resist Reed after he was a jerk to her irritated me. ...more

Once I picked the book up, I couldn't put it down, it kept me wanting more, wanting to know what was going to happen on the next page. I won't spoil it for you but just know, this is a book worth taking the time to read because you're going to want to know all about Sadie and what she learns when she is undercover and what she does about it. ...more

A nice well written story with some steamy passages. Easy to read it´s a good company when it´s cold or raining outside. The plot is believable and constructed accordingly, the description of places and people is accurate. It´s entertaining.

Ohkay peeps, disclaimers first: this is my first book by Rachel Kirwin and I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, so here goes nothing.

I know it sounds cliche, the blurb, but you gotta admit, this kinda "rom-com-esque" stuff is what we live for and look for in NA books, and lemme tell you, Rachel delivers.

We have our heroine, Sadie, who has been fighting to make her own mark and trying to break away from the expectations of her parents, finding herself in a pickle when the very assi

When Sadie had been promoted to investigative journalist she was overwhelmed. She now had her first undercover job in a club to find out if anything illegal was going on.

She managed to bluff her way into getting a job as a barmaid only because the owner Reed took a fancy to her.

Reed liked to love them and leave them no relationship for him. Been there didn't like it.

Sadie was 100% on doing a good job, but was terrible at being a barmaid, she was kept on for her enthusiasm.

Rachel Kirwin is a new to me author, and cutting my reading teeth on Undercover Barmaid was amazing. Obviously from the title, the heroine is going to go undercover at a bar. Sadie is a young woman who has her sights on becoming a successful investigative journalist, and she's finally gotten that shot with a big story. Reed is the hero, who's the owner of the club that Sadie is going undercover at, but she never saw him coming. He's sworn off love, even though there's a mile long line of females ...more

This is a great book. I was so drawn into this story and Oh my goodness what is going to happen next that I finished it in 1 day. It is about a girl named Sadie who is a journalist and she get her first big story assignment and with that comes the OMG what is going to happen next. I was always waiting for her to be found out or that someone was going to discover her secret. Then you meet Reed and even though you can’t tell he has a fierce love for his sister and protecting her he has a guarded h ...more

Sadie is a young aspiring investigative journalist who just got her first break on a big story.

Reed is the too-hot-for-his-own good club owner with a broken heart hidden by his snarky and playful attitude. Though he’s lucky with the ladies, he’s sworn off love.

This book hooked me. The world Kirwin creates is easy to fall into and feel a part of— not to mention the smokn’ chemistry between Reed and Sadie. Hot. Hot. Hot.

Sadie struggles with her insane connection to Reed and her need to prove her
