I really loved this story! It was fast-paced, very entertaining but still sexily sweet. It had very little drama yet still enough action to keep me turning the pages.

Cant wait to read the other books in this series!

Very poorly written

The fae in this book weren't magical and by the end, the fae had earth slang that weren't very creative and I typically liked reading taiden books. Was too teeny bopper for me with no rhythm.

Needs editing, but not a bad story.

Alright

This book was a crack up... not because its funny, but because its really not. The premise is fantastic and the base solid - but the actual writing came across flat and so tropey I giggled. Regardless.... I just couldnt stop reading. I was waiting for something to happen, more drama, danger or angst... while we get a little, its not enough to really drive the narrative, at least not in a creative fashion. Still a fun read though.

The Fae King (The Crystal Kingdom Book 1) by Milly Taiden is the first in a wonderful new trilogy. This book is the terrific tale of Kaia Cutestone (one of three prophesied queens) and the Fae King Jerrek Valsys. Kaia is smart and sweet and her good nature is often abused by those around her who should know better. When she is kidnapped through a portal and wakes in a goblins prison on a world that isnt earth she has to find her spine and fast. As horrible as the stuff is that the author puts ...more

Goblins, Trolls, and Fairies oh my. Milly brings a new world and a new series to us. Gots to love the Fae one of my fav paranormal species.

Good has a 'bad' side, the elders knew it, but they also knew how or better yet what would balance both sides out. A Sassy but down on her luck and life girl is out with her BFFs, which are the only ones that seem to have remembered her birthday. Sidebar: I'd gladly smack her mom and her brother oh let's not forget the girlfriend just on GP.

A surprise awaits

A surprise awaits as you turn each page in this fast paced story of three friends and their adventures into the unknown.
I can't wait for the other two books in this series.

2 & 1/2 stars rounded up.
This story was very simplistic, the plot was for the most part, predictable. I kept wanting so much more from the main characters, but wasn't getting it. The whole story read like a novella, though it wasn't one. I didn't hate it, but it just wasn't impressing me enough to want to continue with the series.

Fun read

3.5 quick fun read. I hope we get to know more about the h's grandmother. Her immediate family were terrible.

BAD BAD BAD

First of all the book was immature and the characters as well.... The female lead was pretty annoying... I'm all for not knowing your worth but she bordered on stupidity. I found myself skipping pages just to get to the fucking point of the book and ended up skipping it till the end just to leave the review. I have read better books than this. This book was a waste of time and I did not like the book at all... The characters were like ten year old children. I advise you to skip the

Fae King (The Crystal Kingdom book 1) is the first book in a new series by Milly Taiden. In this book we're introduced to the world of the Fae & follow Kaia Cutestone & Jerrek Valsys on their journey to happily ever after.

Kaia Cutestone's life hasn't turned out like she'd hoped. She's stuck in a job she hates, her father & brother see her as their personal bank & her mother is more concerned with herself than her daughter. The only bright spot is that her best friends have

This is a cute paranormal story, but it was just a bit too far-fetched for me (even for a fantasy!). It was an entertaining read, though, and I liked that it featured Fae, instead of just the usual aliens or shifters. It gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.

The thing that I found the most unbelievable was everyone on the alien world where Kaia was taken spoke English. No mention was made of them having universal translators or anything like that, but she was able to talk to all of

4.5 stars

The world building for this story was very well done. For all that Kaia has been dealt a bad hand in terms of family, her friends are great. Even stuck in a world she knows nothing about she manages to show a deep inner strength and sense of compassion. Jerrek is a cursed Fae King waiting for his fated mate. He really has a dedication to his people and a sense of justice. I really liked them together,

Best tree house ever

Tarzan has nothing on this hot piece of specimen. Jerrek is a Fae king with a mysterious curse of a monster that he fears will destroy his villagers and love ones. While searching for the list children that have been kidnapped he comes across Kaia and there is something about her he can't resist. Haha wakes up away from her two best friends from a camping. All she could remember was then all putting their piece of jewelry together and then matching up and a loud noise in the

Jerrek's the king. It's his job to rule and protect his people. While his mother worries about him finding a mate, he worries about the recent kidnapping of little fae female children.

Kaia works hard to live her life and ends up helping her family with the little money she works so hard to earn. She's due a fun day away from work and family troubles. She didn't plan on their camping trip to end with being kidnapped into a world with beings she'd only read about. Beings who didn't even understand

Kaia is completely browbeaten by her odious family! Her mother is shockingly cruel when she does show an interest. Her brother is a sponge and her father is just...absent. Her estranged friends have moved back to town and they take Kaia camping to get away from her woes for a while.

Kaia, Jen and Avery all have very one-off pieces of jewellery, given to them by their grandparents. But when a strange storm sounds outside their tent, Kaia gets zapped to another dimension and is held by some evil

Great enchanting story

I really enjoyed this book because I got to explore a fantasy world that have faeries and trolls. I also like it's kinda different from her PDA and sassy mates series.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a story that have a faerie king who believes he is curse and must find his fated mate to tame his inner beast. A woman name Kaia who feel stuck in her home town with her unsupportive family ,and low paid waitress job. Kaia and her friends ends up getting

Really Great Story

I really enjoyed this book . It has a great characters and storyline. Three best friends go camping for the weekend and when they go to sleep, wake-up in another dimension, where elves, trolls and fairies truly exist. The only downside in this world women and children are kidnapped and sold to the highest bidder and their on the auction block.
Again I truly enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the next one in this series. I only wish the author would have fleshed out the

This just didnt work for me even though I read to the end. Felt lacking depth and definition all the way through and needed smoothing out instead of jumping around so much.
The beginning with Kaia being a doormat to her family was woeful. She has no backbone, just let herself be used and abused knowing it was happening.
Then she suddenly gets a backbone when she lands wherever she is.
The plot was good but it all comes across like a young adult book except for the sex scene.
At times it felt stilted
