She grew up in luxury but the biggest problem is she's not really true to herself or her desires in order to appease father dearest. Meet Chase MacKenzie who does what he thinks is best for the one girl he truly cared for and made something of himself through handwork and determination. I liked and enjoyed reading Chase and Piper's story in "Can't Stay Away" by Lilly Avalon, although it took me a little while to warm up to the story and characters. Chase and Piper had great personalities and I loved their chemistry together. I understood that they knew each other when they were teenagers and hadn't seen one another in four years, but I thought their relationship moved a little fast in the beginning. Certain things felt rushed, but I eventually warmed up to them and their story ...more

I had high hopes for this one, not rally sure why but I did. I guess just because I've read so many really good books as of late and I just expectingly thought they're all gonna keep on being awesome. That wasn't the case with this one. It's fragmented like an essay breaking into paragraphs and it made things seem segmented and odd. The characters were pretty dull and lacked that zesty sparkle to make them real. Pipers ability to seem meek and pushoverish was in

It was not as bad as many reviews mentioned or maybe because I started the book with low expectations due to the review I'd read before hand. But the forbidden romance actually made a little sense. The ending isn't what you call a perfect ending but it was good nonetheless. Better than what I actually expected. The story was slightly flawed but it was not bad enough for me to stop reading. One of the biggest problems that I

I dont know whats going on this month, but this was my third step-siblings romance in the space of 18 days. Granted, they were all remarkably different, and this was the first NA of the three, but still, I think Im done with the step-siblings thing for a little while :P.

I had a little trouble getting into this story. The writing in the first few chapters was a bit choppy and the formating of the file didnt help me to really get into the story. Still, it got better, and I

In Can't Stay Away by Lilly Avalon we follow Piper Winchester and Chase Mackenzie. Who 's parents are getting married to each other. But there feelings towards each other are not exactly platonic lol but after 4 years of being away from each other Chase come back for the wedding and that is really where the story picked up.

I really loved the cover and though I am not much into Stepbrother Romances ... I decided to give this a try. Boy, did I love it - Absolutely! A hot and sizzling read! I loved that even when young Chase tried to do what is right for Piper and also understands how much of influence her father has on her and tries to push her to be better and stand up for herself ... He was ready to let her go and not push her and came back for her once he understands she is ready to stand by him. Though it took a ...more

This is the first book I have read of Lilly Avalon and I really liked it. I have read a lot of stepbrother and stepsister books and have stopped reading them because I was getting tired of the constant references to the tabooness of them being step-siblings. But with this book, yes they were about to be step-siblings, but it didn't harp on about it. It just told the story relating to their romantic relationship, not their family

CAN'T STAY AWAY is a great book. It has well-written characters and story line. Lilly Avalon is a great storyteller. I rooted for Chase and Piper to get together throughout the whole book. Chase is going to be Piper's step-brother when their parents get married. Four years ago Chase and Piper had a kiss, but then he left for college and she never heard from him again. Until, Now. Piper doesn't want to have anything to do with him

Piper is just out of college with a lot going on. In three weeks her dad remarries and in five weeks her first business venture will be launched. Then Chase comes back into her life. They did not get along at all until the day before Chase was to leave and they kissed. After he is back they realize there are feelings between them but it is complicated because soon Chase will be Pipers stepbrother.
I really liked this story and plot. Although I think Chase should have told Piper how he felt before

Piper and Chase new each other when they were teenagers. Nothing major developed. Years go by and Piper is about to finish college and ready to start the life her dad wants for her.

Chase has been away for years and now he's back for his mum's wedding and yup, he's going to be Piper's new stepbrother. Except when they see each other this time sparks fly, fires burn and that will very much spoil the whole plans

Piper has her hands full, her father is about to remarry and the bride isnt very helpful in the planning and her first business venture is about to launch. She is a good girl and always done as her father expected of her. Unfortunately a man from her past is back and the chemistry between them is hot, the only problem is he is about to become her step-brother. The story was good and the sex steamy, if you are looking for a hot read with not a lot of drama this read will be perfect for you. ...more

Chase is one sexy man, "I'm thrown off for a second, then it dawns on me what she's talking about. I jump out of my seat, chasing her down the hall. Oh, eff no! I'm not letting you use a effing vi***tor. I really loved Chase he was a simple guy who could appreciate his woman's attributes without all the gunk, "I shake my head. Lilly Avalon has a knack for writing heroines you can relate to, heros you can fall in love with, and a romance you can swoon over. Can't Stay Away is so much more than a story of forbidden romance - it's a sweet and sexy story about love, friendship, family, and self-discovery.

I do love me some step love! This one was different in the fact that the male MC was NOT an alpha, which was lovely. He was a bit of a beta boy. And while this story had the traditional sex scenes, it was tempered with deep emotion.

One of my favorite things about this story is that they were friends in the beginning, not enemies. This really stood out because anyone who reads these types of stories knows they are mostly enemies to lovers.

I also like how

I was hoping the characters were going to be stronger than what they were. There was Piper, the rich girl who had everything handed to her by her father. Who let her future stepmother walk all over her while planning her wedding. Who's morning mantra "Stand up for yourself" was such a contradiction she shouldn't have been using it.

Then there was Chase. The guy who ran from the best thing that ever happened to

She had it all under control until he walks back in to her life.
But this push and pull game they have going on is an even bigger distraction than if she just gave in to begin with.

Can't Stay Away is a little different from the step sibling romances I have read. Piper's dad is dating Chase's mom. When their parents are dating Piper and Chase share a kiss. After Chase leaves without a word. Now sexy hot Chase returns to be that their parents' wedding. Piper doesn't know why Chase left the first time but it doesn't take long for her heart to start melting for Chase again. Piper is a yes girl, she does everything to please her dad and soon to be step mom. I loved seeing her ...more

This was a hot steamy erotic romance story perfect for a quick afternoon read.
A great heart pounding read. The story was very well written with great characters. It drew me in and I had it finished in one sitting. I would highly recommend this read.

NDF....because I didn't finished Can't Stay Away, I don't think it would be fair to rate it. I read a few chapters but I had to stop. The author writes by commenting on every single detail the character interacts with. For me, it really wasn't needed and it left me feeling frustrated. I may try again in the future, but right now I'm going to leave it alone. This is my personal opinion and although the writing didn't work for me, does not mean it will not work for others.

"She stares at me, a content smile on her face. There's something appealing about this moment. It's one I would give anything to have every single day for the rest of my life"

Can't Stay Away was a quick and easy read for me. One of the first things that captured my attention about this book was the synopsis. The story-line was forbidden, but so intriguing, I just knew I had to read it.

Lilly Avalon is the thirty-something author of romance books with sexytimes. She started to pen her first erotica at twelve years old, but her mom found the "dirty story" and threw it away, which was just as well because it wasn't that good. At all. Luckily, she continued to write stories for years until she rediscovered her love of sexy tales in her late twenties.

Lilly currently resides in Ohio
