Jaxon Reed delivers a stunning follow up, with gruesome and repulsive discoveries on the Zodiac ship, but also page-turning goodness! Action that is non-stop, gritty, and believable. A thriller that is realistic and intense. It moves at breakneck speed, the storyline ratchets this twisted, gruesome tale up to an unfathomable level, with an unsuspecting turn of events that left me filled with tension. This action-packed, character-driven space opera series is full of ship battles, and the interstellar politics described are absorbing and fascinating in its callousness, selfishness and cruelty. I love the Ultima Mule’s crew and other characters! The witty and humorous dialogue makes the reading very enjoyable and entertaining. Looking forward to reading Terminus Epsilon #10!

The long raging war comes to a bit of standoff, but the action continues in the latest installment of this series. Various spies and Resistance fighters continue to work against the League. We even discover a new, self-contained, society that has evolved within the confines of a giant ship. The ending will leave you ready for more.

The next chapter of this series is out and full of action and danger as the universe Universe plugs along with adventures for both the League and the Pirates. Full of great characters both old and new to the series. The ship cult was cool to read about and a bit wacky. Loved reading just to see what would happen next and what would be revealed and found. Was a great read that was hard to put down.

When I read the blurb for this story it sounded like it would be fun, maybe a little campy given the cover image, but still something to take me to another place.
My annoyance came pretty quickly with having so many characters having the same letter “T” at the beginning of their names, Thrakkar, Tetrarch Thrall, Tina, Trinadee you get my point. As you are trying to make heads or tails of a book in the beginning things like that get a bit annoying and sometimes confusing.
The story just seemed to explode into action that didn’t make any sense, lots of moving parts that didn’t seem to fit. Nowhere in the blurb did it say that there is a trigger warning or sexual violence. Those types of warnings allow a reader to make an informed decision on deciding to read the book or not. One of the characters rapes a woman, spits on her after the event and beats her to death. As he’s showering he says to himself I’m a lover not a fighter WHAT THE….I mean the total mistreatment of women in this story is just mind blowing. Women are given as spoils after several men fight to have the right to have sex with her?!!?
I read for escapism, and I realize that violence does happen in the world and if I’m reading a story that tells me upfront what type to expect I am better prepared for it and don’t get revolted from having it slap me across the face like a 2x4.
For me this story had nothing that I found redeemable. The characters were caricatures of every badly acted sci-fi movie out there and the violence was so callous and casual that I couldn’t fathom why.
If I could give less than a zero I would, this is being deleted from my library.

This is book nine in this grand space opera series. The book can be read as a standalone and it works just fine. I am sure there are a lot of details and references from previous books which I may have missed, but nothing that left me scratching my head and trying to figure out what was going on. That being said, I think I will read this one again once I start from the beginning and that might give me a completely new experience. Either way works.
What I did get here was an intense, action filled space opera story with a quick moving plot that started at a run and never let up. The writing is excellent, the setting highly detailed, and the characters solid. This was an immersive experience where I was drawn into the story and had a hard time putting it down. There is quite a bit of violence in the story, so if that bothers you, this series might not be for you. For me, I found it to be an excellent read and I am looking forward to more, including both earlier and future books.

I have really enjoyed this series. This was not my favorite read but it had lots of action and twists. Great worldbuilding as always. It was intense reading.I am looking forward to the next in series.

The Ultima Mule crew are at it again against the Star League. Kind of weird that all the covers show Captain Raleigh and Jillian; he looks the same but Jillian is definitely different on each cover. I know, plot armor. Excellent editing. Quick read.

I enjoyed it!
It was a very entertaining read, while I admit I am not a literary genius I did enjoy the concept of Pirates with hearts.
