P.S. It's Always Been You is the first installment in Lauren Blakley's new second chance romance and after finishing it, I can't wait to get to the next two installments.

In the past, Presley and Hunter were so in love with each other. But Hunter took off to do a secret, important job and left Presley behind, breaking up with her in the worst way. It's been years, but since he's a bit of a celebrity now, she can't escape seeing his face everywhere. If that's not bad enough, now she has

5 star review of P.S. It’s Always Been You Part 1 by Lauren Blakely

AUDIO REVIEW:

This was a captivating start to this story about the narration by Scott Eastwood and Andi Arndt was absolutely spot on. They blended so well together you would think that they had been a team for years.

This is a second chance at love story for Hunter and Presley and one that I listened to in it’s entirety. I was intrigued by the story and totally invested in this first part. Scott Eastwood’s voice was swoon worthy a

Blakely marks the beginning of heartstopping adventure with a page turner of a romance. P.S. It's Always Been You takes a bite out of hearts with the swoon-worthy voices of Scott Eastwood and Andi Arndt who work surprisingly well together. Between their masterful delivery and Blakely's unpredictable characters, Presley and Hunter, P.S. It's Always Been You proves to be a risk worth taking. ...more

Caution: When reading have a box of tissues at the ready.

Hunter, a successful T.V adventure star, and Presley, an art enthusiast, took us on an adventure with them as they solved the mystery of the letters. Finding the letters helped them both to realize that love can conquer all. With some plotting behind their back, we see a chemistry between the two characters is off the charts. Sweet, romantic, and an honest to goodness treat to read. Lauren Blakley has brought some sunshine into my house w

When Audible Original offered me a chance to listen to P.S. It's Always Been You narrated by Scott Eastwood and Andi Arndt, I had to say yes. I wanted to see how Scott Eastwood could bring the male character, Hunter Armstrong to life.

Scott has a smooth voice and I enjoyed listening to him. Andi does an amazing job of narrating the female character, Presley. She makes it upbeat and with great intonation depending on the circumstances.

The novel is divided into 3 parts. It's a second chance ro

This was a fun and quick listen. There isn't a painful cliffhanger at the end, but listeners should note that the story is broken into three parts. In this first installment we meet Hunter and Presley, who after an intense, but brief romance, reunite 10 years later on a project for work. The reason behind the separation isn't my favorite, but I'm always a sucker for a second chance romance. Throw in a little forced proximity, humor, and myster

This was ok. Honestly, I had really high hopes for Scott Eastwood's narration and it was just ok. Not bad. Just... fine...

Plus Hunter was pretty self centered and Presley was about to cave. Even still, I will probably finish the series between reads.

The story is a tease of something more and that is exciting.
I kind of wished I had waited till all the parts were out to listen all together because even though I like Presley and Hunter I just kind of felt a little disconnected. Almost like we know they are going to get a second chance, which is my favorite kind of story, but for me I didn’t feel the chemistry and maybe that is just because we only got so much of the story as of now. Maybe that will come; I have hope because I usually love Laur

This book was fine. I always want to like Lauren Blakely books more than I do. They have a lot of potential, she creates really likable characters in interesting situations, but lately, I feel like the books I’ve read by her have been somewhat lackluster.

She comes out with a TON of books per year and it makes me wonder if maybe if she focused on writing fewer – and perfecting those – then maybe they’d be a lot better.

With that being said, I really do appreciate how much she is involved in the ma

I am a hit or miss reader of Lauren Blakely's work. This book (pffft, PART of a book) was just not appealing to me. I think part of my issue was narrator related, which I'll get to in a sec. As it happened, I continued to listen while I worked on other things, so I didn't put my full focus on it after the first 1.5 hours. I did go on to listen to part 2 while I finished up working. Part 2 got interesting once a "mystery" was introduced and the sexual tension increased. At the end though, I didn' ...more

So I really enjoyed this, although it did leave off at a big part, which I get, it is supposed to! Now, this was an audiobook, and had Andi Arndt narrating the character Presley, awesomely as she always does. And Scott Eastwood narrated the male character, Hunter. And unfortunately, there’s my biggest gripe with this. It’s not that he has a bad voice. No, I actually really like his voice. But oh my gosh, does he need to learn how to read aloud! He pauses at all the wrong times, and speeds throug ...more

I love a good second chance romance and Lauren Blakely is one of my favorite authors so of course I jumped at the chance to review this audiobook. Presley and Hunter used to date ten years ago but went their separate ways. They are forced to reunite for a project. As always Andi Arndt did a great job with her performance of Presley. Scott Eastwood did better than expected but at times I felt

I’m torn— I feel like this series has a lot of potential, but Scott Eastwood’s narration of Hunter’s chapters makes it so difficult to enjoy the audio, I almost abandoned it on multiple occasions. If I could’ve gotten the whole series in kindle format, I’d have switched without question. But since the audiobooks are included in my Audible Escape membership, I continued listening. The book itself does seem good, although it’s hard to say for sure, since I’m finding the narration so distracting. O ...more

This is the first of three short stories that create one full length book and story line. This is the first 12 chapters of the story. Interesting characters who were once involved and are now thrown back together through a work obligation. Could you work with someone who tossed you away without a thought breaking your heart? Interesting to see how they interact and react. Great dual narration on the audio helps bring the characters and story more fully to life. I'm intrigued enough to keep readi ...more

Andi Arndt is one of my favorite female narrators and I enjoyed Scott Eastwood's narration as well. I think this was his first time narrating a book? If so, I think he did a really good job and I wonder if he'll continue narrating books after this 3 book series. If he does decide to continue narrating books, I'll listen to them if they were to be available in Audible Escape lol.

This audio book was a perfect length for what I was in the mood for and I knew going in that this story will continue i

This was a quick listen which instantly hooked me. I really enjoy well done second chance love stories and appreciated that this audiobook opened with the characters together so we got a chance to see their connection in action. I also loved the background on this story- an art history buff/writer teaming up with an adventure junkie as they look into an estate of a famed world traveler.

The writing perfectly captured the connection between Hunter and Presley, which was only enhanced by great perf

This just didn’t quite work for me. Maybe it’s because I’m not a big fan of history and some parts of this really bored me, or maybe it was I started it with high expectations because of Scot Eastwood reading it. But he didn’t do it for me, sorry. I think I prefer him as an actor on screen better. Andi Arndt did a fabulous job though and I loved her narration. I didn’t feel the connection between the characters though and I was really not invested in the story. Even the big discovery at the end ...more

I enjoyed the start of this three part story, it’s only 12 chapters so you will breeze through it. It sets the scene up decorously for us to know about their past and how they got to be working together. It has a little mystery content as well.

Lauren Blakely is renowned for her amazing rom coms and how she brings them to life in audio books. She takes her books to the next level in multi casting. This edition is Andi and Scott narrating in dual style (I do prefer duet). Andi is brilliant as alw

Man oh man...

This one started a little slow, but once LB got going...well, Hunter and Presley pack a punch.

A second chance story packed with some intrigue and mystery, this portion of the story is a lot of background, until the very end, when the two former lovers discover something that is going to send them on the adventure of a lifetime.

Make sure you have part 2 lines up and ready to go, because you're not going to want to pause between episodes.

I didn't want to start this series until all 3 parts were available, but with part 3 coming out in a few days, I thought it was time to get started! I'm glad I made that decision since part 1 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger as expected.

I liked the overall story idea, and think that part 1 was a good start into what might end up being a cute story. I'm not crazy about the narration, in particular on Scott's side. It's too slow and bit stilted. I would prefer more emotion or animation. Not to be

Scott Eastwood was a big draw to this story, but his stilted narration is taking me out of the story. Not to mention that this story just starts getting interesting and it's over. The answer is no.

So, even if you aren't totally sold on the length of this book, grab it for the narration.

I mean, that's why I got it.
