Paralyzed in Dreamland: A Collection of Dreams
Have you ever woken up to the thought of scribbling down your dream because it was simply amazing – only to wake up once again?
Hi! I am Doofus, and I suffer from Sleep Paralysis and Vivid Dreams Syndrome. This means that I see dreams that feel so real, that they can make you question reality. Paralyzed in Dreamland is a collection of some of my vivid dreams – expressed in the form of humorous, yet thought-provoking short stories.
From the best-selling author of Heart Broken Musings and The Things We Do for Love, comes an unputdownable collection of fifteen short stories – based on his actual dreams. The stories are narrated by Doofus; the protagonist, and revolve around various themes like friendship, love, family, religion, career, society, fantasies, and the world at large. Being the literal transcription of the author's dream, each story goes through bizarre twists and turns, providing the reader with an escape from their monotonous reality.

Writing this book has been a dream project for me. After all, I literally had to sleep and see so many crazy dreams, before I could finalize on the fifteen dreams that I was going to turn into a book. And at times, this has actually made me question reality. For instance, there's a story in my book in which I dream about performing at an open-mic. Two days after I saw that particular dream, I went ahead and performed at my first ever open mic, but when I was done, I literally couldn't differentiate between the one I performed and the one I saw in my dream.
Doofus; the protagonist of the book, is loosely based on me. After all, Doofus is nothing but my sub-conscious, right? Just like Doofus, I used to be very smart in my childhood, but then, life happened, and things took a dumb turn. So, to find peace in this effed up life, I think my brain created Doofus. So that, at least in my dreams, life is crazy good, for a change.

We sometimes dream and that dream gives us a feeling if it has happened in reality or it was a dream only. Such is the case of Doofus the protagonist of our story suffers from Sleep Paralysis and Vivid Dreams Syndrome.
The book is a collection of short stories which will make the readers confuse if it is actually a dream or a reality.
The plot for every story is very unique. The concept of the book itself is very unique and will surely keep the readers eager and sometimes even ponder.
The language is simple and lucid. The narration part is also done well.
Some of the story are relatable.
The book is very short and can be completed in a day.
If you are someone who loves reading short stories or want to start reading short stories then this book is for you.

A dream is a series of thoughts that takes one into an entirely different world. A collection of short stories or rather Dreams , this book is a short read that takes the reader on an interesting journey of the protagonist's dreams. Most of the dreams are written in a way that the reader can relate to it. The writing style of the author is so good that it paralyzes the reader and makes him wonder if it is indeed a dream.
A unique concept , simple language that is easy to understand, a good title that goes apt with the content, the cover could have been colourful, and a good Narration makes the book a nice interesting read that truly paralyzes the reader....

Dreams are weird right!! But have you ever pen down your dreams ??
"Paralyzed in Dreamland " is all about the author's weird and absurd dreams that he had. There are 16 chapters in this book that captures all the unusual dreams by the author.
Many of us suffer from sleep paralysis and vivid dream syndrome but to make them into short stories and publish as a book is quite interesting. I was really excited to read this book and it did not disappointed me. It was fun going through it. All the stories are based on friendship, career, calamity and other topics. The writing style is lucid. I loved the cover of this book.

Book Title:
The title of the book ' Paralyzed in Dreamland: A Collection of Dreams ' is unique and elusive.
Book Cover:
The cover image of the book is a picture of a ' dream catcher '. It aptly suits with the title.

My review:
Dreams are very different from waking life, but it is extremely difficult clearly to define what the difference consists. When we are dreaming, we are nearly always convinced that we are awake, and in some cases, real experiences have been mistaken for dreams.
Here in the book, a character named Doofus is a dreamer. Dreamer is the word because of the dreams he dreams. The book consists of 15 stories rather than 15 dreams which are very surreal in narration. Each and every story falls under a different theme. The themes range from a relationship, love, friendship, feelings, religion, social background, etc.
The language used is very simple and the narration is smooth. Though a light read, there are things mentioned in the stories that are though-provoking on a sublime level. Kudos to the author in creating the character Doofus who suffers from syndrome and thus giving the readers interesting stories.
My Final Verdict:
A very different book

Author - Raunak Agarwal
Ratings - 4.5⭐

There is a main protagonist in all the Stories named "Doofus" who Suffers from Sleep Paralysis and Vivid Dreams Syndrome.
First thing came in mind after reading the Book is, are they only stories or they are real dreams?
And the question is obvious, the book is collection of Dreams. Few are so real but they are just Dream.
Best thing about the This is It is Short and Interesting and total of around 15 different stories. You can hardly finish this book in a single sitting. Narration is very good and easy to understand.
The plot is so different and only of its kind.
What I like
• Narration is beautiful and Interesting
• Less time consuming
• Few stories are very relatable.
• Different and Amazing plot.
If you love reading short stories then this is best pick for you.

Paralyzed in Dreamland: A Collection of Dreams, as the title suggests, is a collection of short stories about lucid and vivid dreams that the protagonist, Doofus, sees. There are about 15 short stories, all of which are beautifully written. I especially love chapter 4 i.e. Sam – The Ruddhi. She's an intelligent girl with more intelligent arguments. The conversations built in the chapter is so innovative and engaging.
Talking about other chapters, there are various themes like religion, career, love, fantasy, friendship etc used. The most beautiful thing about the read is that not only the protagonist is given major role but the substitute characters are given equal importance.
Narration goes crisp, clear and engrossing, while the language used is simple and easy to understand. Moving towards the cover and title, both are simple yet attractive.
Overall, I simply love the book. It is short with only about 166 pages which can be read in a single sitting.

This book is a collection of short stories. The Protagonist,Doofus has Vivid dream syndrome, where his dreams would be so realistic, which itself was quite interesting and unique. Each story is his dream, even though one already knew that it was a dream, Still one can't stop reading, because of the flow in the language and writing style. Each stories were also connected to each other, making it an interesting read. This book has its twists and turns with right amount of fun. Overall this book is an really enjoyable read!

Doofus, the lead character of the story. He suffers from sleep paralysis and vivid dreams syndrome. The no of stories which are explained are amazing and while reading you'll surely think that are all this for real or a dream. Doofus dream a lot of things nd think that all this are reality. The book is a collection of short stories nd all of them are quite amazing. Any reader can easily complete this book in just one go. The language is damn easy and understanding. The cover and the title are perfectly chosen. The people who loves to read short stories i must say read it out.

As the title says, Paralyzed in Dreamland: A Collection of Dreams, this book is a collection of dreams. Main character named Doofus, who suffers from sleep paralysis and dreams syndrome.
As this person is having this syndrome. he dreams of many things and these are his 15 dreams. Sometimes we can relate to ourself with those dreams, sometimes I felt like are this real or dream, because of good narration,
The cover is well designed with dream catcher, so it seems like it catches the dreams and said to us in a book, so it is a brilliant idea.
The title is good and apt to the story.
in one sit we can complete this book as this is short dreams.

In the book, Paralyzed dreamland author compiles some really funny dreams that give you a burst of a crazy giggle as well as a satisfying emotion that you are not alone on this planet who have some horrible funny dreams.
Dreams or something that we suppose that can be real?
Here whose dreams we can travel is Doofus, a college guy with various fantasies about everything that matters to a youngster.
Doofus is the manifestation of a typical teenager who wants to celebrate every moment of his life with adventure. But the dilemma is that when he celebrated those moments he woke up by someone 😝
So we can travel to a world which belongs to Doofus with his friends & gf also.
So there are 15+1 stories I read in this book. Why +1? You can find in this book.
Despite funny incidents with Doofus, his life experiences reflect a reality- of relationships, friendships, love & society. Doofus breaks many myths about various things that we ignore daily. He also gives tips for judging any person & sometimes takes a better decision at critical points.
Moreover, these stories are related to each teenager or youngster who suffers from academics, job, relationship in the daytime & then at night, travel in their dreamland with all illusions & their thoughts about everything that matters.
Before picking this book I supposed that it is going to be a motivation type read but it surprised me & took a place in my must-read books. Some stories I found in this book are really relatable to me also. So find yours too.

I have very insanely weird dreams and sometimes they are so weird that I had to start writing them in a dream journal now.
PARALYSED IN DREAMLAND is a book with short stories by the protagonist who is diagnosed by vivid dream syndrome. The cover of the book is a dream catcher which gives a pretty attractive element to the book and it totally related to the concept of the book.
My little sister read the book before I did and she loved the name, Doofus.
The language used by the author is pretty decent and gives a lucid flow to the readers.
This helps the readers to visualize the scenes pretty well like you have seen the dream by yourself
I must give it to the sense of humour of the author, like seriously- writing weird dreams in a funny way was one big challenge.
All the storyline and dreams are selectively chosen and well-framed for a good formation of the book.
It doesn't take much time to complete the book due to good and precise writing flow.
For those who want to take a break from intense reads or just wanna read something light, this is a good choice.
Recommended for beginners especially or if you want to get out of the reading block

Hey, first of all hello 🙋 all the lovely readers out there, here is a genuine review I want to share with you all.
This was wonderful mind 💭 thrilling read for me. It had several short stories that I also went through and can co-relate them while reading and feel the actual vibes directly from writer's actual dreams 💭 to reality.
As the title is "Paralyzed in Dreamland", they were true thoughts or say dreams 💭 of writer in form of 15 short stories full of emotions and humour and are capable of challenging reality.
For people, dreams 💭 is what matter the most but there are few who actually live their dreams.
I could feel every inch of every single penned down story, though you won't understand the title until you read the whole of it. What a page-turner 📖 it is!!
📖

' Have you ever woken up to the thought of scribbling down your dream because it was simply amazing - only to wake up once again? '
After reading this interrogatory sentence on the back cover, A lot of dreams came to my mind which I ll never forget. 'Dream' ,one of the amazing chemistry of life indeed, can build and destroy someone's goal brilliantly. Here, this book consists 15 short stories, which are based on dream, are finely narrated by protagonist doofus who suffers from sleep paralysis and vivid dreams syndrome.
Each & every story is funny but heart touching. Somewhere i found similarities with some of my stupid and idiotic dreams. Each chapter is so different from other. Here, I must say plot has been chosen very brilliantly which impressed me. Author's writing style is perfect and lucid. He has very good sense of humour which is clearly visible from his writing.
"I stare at her, then I chuckle.
Oh! Girl! Dont you know?
Soulmates are now
Found on Tinder?"
I can assure that readers will not feel bore with this book. All characters & sub characters are well introduced and developed. Easy sentences made this book very fast paced that's a positive bullet for new readers. Cover is filled with a black and white dream catcher which is undoubtedly attractive. Title goes smoothly with the plot. Its my second book of Author , His effort & dedication is appreciating . A highly recommended book for young readers.

🌜: The masterpiece of a dream land is written about a boy, Doofos, stuck in the spiral of dreams, waking up from one, only to live the other. The book Paralyzed in Dreamland is a short collection of stories, strong enough to psych your mind into thinking you're living one.
🌜: While going through this book, I read a chapter every night only to feel myself dreaming. Guilty as charged.
🌜: To say that this book is realistic would be an understatement. Like how often do you remember your dreams? How often do you fall in your dreams?
This book has it all.
For a moment I felt myself being trapped in one, with all the moments captured perfectly, the anxiety and wishes of the boy Doofus seeping through the situations, this book could be pinpointed as the ultimate dreamland, a never ending story.
For a moment, I guess I was lost.
🌜: In short, you should totally have this book in your must-read-before-bed list.

Paralyzed in Dreamland by Raunak Agarwal is a collection of short stories or you can say collection of dreams. Doofus is the protagonist who suffers from sleep paralysis and vivid dreams syndrome. Doofus is loosely based on the author and this dreams are experienced by the author which has been beautifully penned down. Each story is unique on its own way with funny endings. These stories touch the topics like superstition in 'Dhongi Baba Mandir', Fantasy in 'Naina’s Rahul' and 'Bhai Ki Shaadi', etc. Its the first time I have read a book based on actual dreams and it was a great experience. Along with doofus even the supporting character were funny. The language was simple and narration was too good. There are so many authors who extensively carry out research before writing but here the author just had to sleep and research completed.

Most of the times when I wake up I don't remember about what I was dreaming but I was completely shocked when I came across the fact that the author has penned down his own real dreams in this wonderful book. Unique isn't it? Doofus the protagonist narrates 15 short stories based on the dreams watched by him. His dreams deal with love, career, fantasy and much more. Some of the stories are really very heart touching while some are really funny. Each story is different and I know the book will definitely keep you hooked until you complete all the stories.

Book Reviwew : Paralyzed In Dreamland Collection of Dreams
Author : Raunak
Rating : 4/5 stars
Cover : 4/5 stars
About the book :
The book is having different stories which are compiled in the form of book. These stories are having a different ends. The tittle of the story were having link with the story line.
Some of the stories are :
⛅My Ex Is Sorry?
⛅ The WereWolf
⛅ The Girl Who Smiled
⛅ Naina's Rahul ⛅ Heart-Ball ⛅Award Goes to?
These are few stories which I read and actually enjoyed. I felt the stories were Written in a normal manner. Easy and simple to co- realte. I personally feel this is a book which students should read as it is having stories which could grab young students attention more because the stories are short, Crisp and sweet.
In the story " The Girl Who Smiled " was having feeling of love which is something which romance lovers will like but towards the end as it was short story it got completed soon.
I liked the adjectives used by the author in the book which is shown in sentences " That Sounds Like A butt Load Of Crap".
Now I would like to add some points which would be essential for anyone to know:
1) The story has a pinch of all emotions that is love, friendship, togetherness etc.
2) There is a good sense of emotions which will make the readers engaged till the end.
I liked that the book has a deep meaning when we combine all the chapters. I am a reader so when I read this book I found some things which the author could have improved :
1) Firstly, he could have added a few quotes which would relate that which theme is the story about which will give the reader a reference what will this story have in-store for them in the end. As many people who are not interested in Reading about Carrer they can skip or any other story.
2) Secondly, if the author could have made it understand that in every story ending's a simple note on how the tittle relates to the story must be mentioned in a note or a picture it would work more well as it will be easier for them to keep there intrest in the story's for a longer time.
In the end I liked the authors work and would like to give 4/ 5 stars for the book.
Author : Raunak
Rating : 4/5 stars

💮Paralyzed In Dreamland💮
Hi! I am Doofus, and I suffer from Sleep Paralysis and Vivid Dreams Syndrome. This means that I see dreams that feel so real, that they can make you question reality.
.
💮Firstly, omg what beautiful title and concept altogether, this is basically a collection of 15 short stories along with a bonus story and by that I really mean it. I am a fan of short stories because they leave so much hope inside ones life. For this book, I must say it kept that 'gripping' kinda stories impact on me right from the beginning. The way Doofus narrated them was funny, heart touching and at times it was painful. The protagonist's feelings were directed towards me each and every time I completed a story or started a new one. I particularly can't pick a favourite story because all of them have a different impact on me, definitely a lasting one. Reading and visualising about someone dreams is definitely so crazy and the entire scenario made me dream as well.
The stories are narrated by Doofus; the protagonist, and revolve around various themes like friendship, love, family, religion, career, society, fantasies, and the world at large. Being the literal transcription of the author's dream, each story goes through bizarre twists and turns, providing the reader with an escape from their monotonous reality.
.
The best part of the writing was, it was lucid and simple. It was obviously captivating, this book can be read by all age groups and that's the speciality of his writing, the stories are ext short and book too is so short but it actually left me thinking at many points, the way it's presented is beautiful. Doofuuus as a character was so well built, it seemed so natural and real. I will definitely recommend it to everyone.

TITLE : Paralyzed in Dreamland
AUTHOR: Raunak Agarwal
GENRE : Fiction
LANGUAGE : English
LENGTH : 107 pages
PUBLICATION: Bumblebee Publishing
FORMAT : Kindle
Blurb & A Brief Review :
'Paralyzed in Dreamland' is a wonderful collection of fictional stories. Author Raunak has done an innovative job by going beyond the casual thoughts. The book is a collection of the weirdest & yet the funniest dreams of the protagonist, Doofus, diagnosed with Sleep Paralysis & Vivid Dreams Syndrome. The dreamy stories, apparently touched with humour are also thought-provoking that excellently encircle the arenas of society, love, friendship, religion, stigma, discrimination etc.
I found the book of a different taste with an accurate title & a decent cover. From Language to narration & then grammar, everything were in its perfection position & easily comprehensible.
Overall, it was an interesting read!

Paralyzed in Dreamland: A Collection of Dreams
by Raunak Agarwal
The book is a sweet yet mystic creation with a unique domain to it. Doofus, the protagonist suffers from the Sleep paralysis and vivid dreams syndrome which in turn helps him comprehend his dreams as reality. The collection of 15 short stories dealing with intricate sentimental of our life as love, friendship, family, career and social ethics.
This humorous yet subtle and morally encouraging set of dreams prove to be an engulfing narration. The stories have an approach of fantasy with the virtual yet real world. I enjoyed this book as it is dawned with its magnificence and imaginative attributes.
Other than this, I wanted the book to be a little more enhanced in the grammatical and narrative aspect. Overall, it was a worth sharing book!

How many times do you remember your dreams? How many times do you feel you want to live your dreams? And how many times did you feel that was the weirdest dream ever??
.
.
Paralysed In Dreamland is a collection of Dreams. It is basically the adventures and experiences of Doofus, the protagonist, the dreamer. The dreams are surreal and each and every dream falls under a different category such as friendship, love, breakup and such. each and every dream falls under a different category such as friendship, love, breakup and such.

The narration is lucid, smooth and the stories are crisp and entertaining!! The flow is great and you will be in no time moving from one dream to other. Few dreams are thought-provoking and few would make you smile.
.
Overall, a different and enjoyable book. Surely recommended.
