This tells the story of a young girl learning Cowichan style knitting. Neekah is finally old enough to learn to knit and so her mother helps her knit a hat for her grandmother. The book introduces readers to this important cultural activity and emphasizes the passing it on from generation to generation. I loved seeing the knitting charts at the bottom of the page.
