I know finding and signing a military vet to the agency is a long shot--but it’ll be good press just letting him try out. That’s what I tell my family, rather than admit I can’t get the letter he wrote us five years ago out of my head.

But what I tell the bartender in his hometown is a lie. I know veterans protect each other. So I pretend to be a graduate student.

"Maybe she needs a cause to fight for."

Hard to Lose is the fourth book in the Play Hard Series. A series based on a family of sports agents, each book in the series is full of passion and heart. Chase Kinkade has been on the sidelines watching her sisters find their match and all she can do is keep working hard to achieve her professional goals. When the opportunity comes for her to follow up on a former recruit that joined the military instead of signing on to play professional ball, she go

Chase Kincade is next in K. Bromberg’s Play Hard series and I have to say (at the start) I was not as curious about her as with the other Kincade sisters. She was not about love and all about work. But now, after reading her emotional love story with Gunner, I am so happy she cracked her shell and found her happy ever after. And who better than a sexy veteran turned bar owner (who very sadly lost

"Dance in the rain with me."

Believe it or not, this was my first read by this author. I KNOW!! Another one where I am punching my own face over here! I really want to go back and read this entire series now as well as a bunch of her backlist. But, I can tell you that this can totally be read as a stand alone.

What a refreshing read!!

I love me the alpha bad boys and the anti heroes, but every once in a while, it's so nice to read about a hero who's a nice guy, a vet,

even when it starts off where you personally don't want it to. I happened to really love the majority of this book...but I would be lying if I didn't share the one thing that made me annoyed from the start. I hate it when there is a built-in concept of withholding the truth about something, knowing at some point it is really going to suck when it is revealed.

"Love isn't something you set out to achieve.
It's something that happens unexpectedly."

Is it possible for every addition in the "Play Hard" series to be even better than the previous one???
Yes, it really is.
I love so much K. Bromberg's writing. Every book of hers had depth and it's filling me with so much emotion that it makes it impossibly hard to let go of these characters and their stories.

I know we are not supposed to have favourites but...

K. Bromberg writes so beautifully & with such insight into the most harrowing of circumstances.

I have loved reading every story about the Kincade's sisters, but Chase and Gunner was everything!

Chase's sisters have all find the love of their life and now they have nothing better to do then getting involved in Chase’s business. They are all adamant that she should date more…

It's time to get to know the story of Chase, the youngest of the Kinkade sisters. In Hard To Lose, the fourth and final book in the Play Hard series brings a captivating, light and romantic story that won me right on the front pages.

Chase, is the youngest of the family, a strong, independent woman, focused on her career and who doesn't have time for a serious relationship. When she finds a letter that was written by a veteran and arrived at her agency 5 years later she feels the need
A bookstagrammer asked me today for recommendations of light-hearted Rom-Coms. The irony is that I was in the midst of reading this book, which TORE MY BESTING HEART FROM MY CHEST, DESTROYED IT, then HEALED IT and SHOVED IT BACK.

This is my first read by K. Bromburg and I'm pretty sure I am both obsessed with and slightly scared of her. She's going into my SO MANY FEELS list next to Brittney C. Cherry and Mia Sheridan.

Full review to come but wow. Just wow. Gunner is beyond-words-amazing. The angst is there, the heartbreak and dealing with scars, past pain, and trying to find hope. Gunner and Chase have a deep understanding for one another and to see them just *know* when the other needs them to just support or to say something is truly beautiful.

Hard to Lose is the least “sports romance” of the series and our hero is a former baseball star turned military man. I buddy read this with @booksandbubbs and she ca

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is the 4th book in the series and while you don't have to read the previous books to understand them, they do add to the dynamic among the sisters.

Chase is driven, goal oriented, type A personality. She works hard and doesn't have time for frivolous things such as love. If anything, her ex has taught her that lesson. When a letter arr

Okay, so Gunner is my absolute FAVE!!!!

I've said this about every hero this series has given us but this time, I mean it!

Full of emotion this book pulls at your heartstrings and really makes you stop and think.

Chase as the youngest has seen all of her siblings find love and knew that it wouldn't happen the same for her - she has goals and wants to reach them.

Gunner is overloaded with emotions from his past. From his childhood to his time serving in the military - anger, guilt, sadness. He live

I actually thought this is going to be the last book in this series, so it was a bittersweet feeling reading it , imagine my surprise when the author announces at the end that she cannot say goodbye to this series without one las character having his hea {Finn Sanderson} 🤩🤞.

Although this book doesn’t put accent on “sports” as much as the previous ones do , it still can be considered sports romance , Gunner having the opportunity to be a great pit
I haven’t read the previous books in this series, but this definitely can be read as a stand alone. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. It was well written and I loved the hero, Gunner, but the heroine and the conflict totally ruined this. I did not enjoy reading this and kept putting it off. As someone who lost a parent, you would think I would be able to connect with Chase, but her character was so abrasive and she really rubbed me the wrong way. I also couldn’t stand the conflict. Hard To Put Down

This is my very first read from Ms. Bromberg but definitely not my last. I am very lucky to received an early copy of this ebook. Although this is the fourth book of The Play Hard series, it can be read as a standalone. This book didn’t spoil it for me not reading the previous books, instead it made me want to read the other books in the series. I want to know more about the strong Kincade women Dekker, Lennox and Brexton’s love stories.

This is a well-written book by Ms. Bromber
I will be begging all of my friends to read this book! It’s a story that I need everyone to experience - it’s so beautiful and all around incredible! I finished it and felt like Buddy the Elf when he’s twirling around saying “I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it!” Bravo, Kristy - not just on Hard to Lose but also on the entire series. It’s been one of my favorite series to read and I know it will be one that I’ll reread over and over and over again.

**I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review**

Another amazing book in this series! This is Chase’s story, the youngest of the four sisters. Her’s and Gunner’s is a very intense story, and they both have been through so much in their lives already. I felt pulled into their romance, their struggles so much and I just couldn’t stop reading. This is a story about getting a second chance of being happy, it is about finding love when you least expect it, it is about grief and proces

OH. MY. GOSH! Just when I thought K. Bromberg couldn’t top Hard to Score, she went and wrote Hard to Lose and completely blew me away with Gunner and Chase’s sexy, emotional, and swoon-worthy MUST READ story!

Hard to Lose was absolutely phenomenal and truly outstanding in every way. The storyline, the characters, the writing style—everything was perfection from beginning to end and I couldn’t have loved it more. The storyline and characters completely stole my heart, and I loved them

What happens when you pair together a driven, successful businesswoman and a wounded soldier harboring a mountain of guilt? You get a heart-wrenching, steamy, inspiring story with a thread of deception that threatens one of the most rewarding journeys to forever I’ve read to date.

Chase Kincade didn’t set out to be dishonest. She's looking for the baseball player turned military man whose long-delayed letter to her family's sports agency refuses to leave her mind. She also didn’t anticipate small
I remember when I read the first book in the series, I said that Hunter and Dekker are my favorite K. Bromberg couple. They were dethroned by Chase and Gunner. Book four in the series, can be read as a standalone, but it would be a lose not to meet the whole family. Chance Kincade is the youngest of four sisters. They all work for their father as sport agents, Chase being the most driven and successful of them all. But her hard work comes from a loss not many can understand, loosing her mother a ...more

This was a really good read! The writing flowed well from start to finish, and I loved Chase and Gunner together. Even though Chase started out with less than honorable intentions, I think she did grow and learn along the way. Gunner was great guy, even though he was really hard on himself. I can't imagine living with that kind of guilt everyday. Being able to talk to each other about everything, and understanding each other, made them a great couple. The scene with them dancing in the rain was ...more

I have yet to read a book by K. Bromberg I have not enjoyed immensely. Chase and Gunner's (Ryan) story is no exception.
The importance of learning to let ones self live after loosing a loved one is a lesson so few seem to actually realize. And not just in books but in life.
This beautiful story reminds us that we are still living. Life is right there for the taking all we need to do is open our eyes, our arms, our minds and our hearts.
The characters are both endearing and special. Gunner has that
Yes! Chase and Gunner are the power couple.

At the start, I didn't know how I would react to Chase. In the previous books within this series, Chase was just there. I didn't love her and I didn't hate her. The more I got to know her throughout this book, I started to love her. Now don't get me started on Gunner!! K.Bromberg knows how to write a hero! Her other books were amazing, and I genuinely didn't think she could top them. Well, she just did! Gunner has it all. The looks, the angst, the swee

This book is not like the other books in the series, but I loved it just as much!!! Chase and Gunner ‘complete’ each other. They are the yin and yang to each other but really so much alike. When Chase decides to follow a Dear John’ letter that was sent to her dad, little did she know that she would find her passion, love and herself. Chase falls for the small town bartender Gunner, whom she originally thought would help her find Ryan Camden. She’s smitten at first glance, so much that she doesn’ ...more
