FINDING PEACE IN WISHING BRIDGE is the third book in the Wishing Bridge series. To be honest, I fell in love with the cover the minute I saw it. I knew I would read it anyway, because I love Ruth Logan Herne, but the cover really pulled me in. I loved everything about this beautiful story and I’m excited to continue the series. Ruth Logan Herne always has a way of grabbing her readers and she never lets us go. Jacinda, also known as Jazz, Monroe, international model turned small town girl, has j ...more

Whoa! I wasn't expecting that sort of intense start to this novel! Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge is all that is wonderful and homey and heartwarming about a Ruthy novel with a zing of stalkerish suspense to jazz things up. (Ha! Did you catch that play on words?)

Woohoo -- the Soul Sisterhood is back and I absolutely love that Thea and Kelsey get significant page time too. You could definitely read the Wishing Bridge books as standalones but relationships build across the series so some aspects

'...a little town where prayer and wishes mingled so dreams could come true.'

When I first visited Wishing Bridge with the first book in this series, I knew right then I wanted to know more. I loved all the wonderful residents, the businesses and it just came alive for me. With each book in the series, I loved it more. And eagerly anticipated Jazz's story, the last gal in the Soul Sisterhood, a group formed by three young girls who were in foster care together, after enduring painful lives, but r

I read book two of this series for the first time just a couple months back and have been itching for Jazz’s story ever since! The little taste of the people circling around her and all the heartache she was going through gave me just enough of a glimpse to whet my appetite. This book was as delightful as I hoped. :) Plus I loved getting caught up in the general awesomeness of the town of Wishing Bridge as a whole. I love these people, I truly do.

Jazz’s journey is far from easy, but her determin

This was the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. Her writing style was good. I enjoyed the main character of Jazz. I also really enjoyed all of the sub-characters. I think I might have enjoyed the secondary characters more than the main character. Not because the main character of Jazz wasn't done well, but I think the secondary characters were done so well that I actually resonated more with them. Jeb and Maggie stole my heart. I should also add that this is book 3 in a seri ...more

It has been a while since I’ve visited the fictional town of Wishing Bridge and I was thrilled to return, catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones in the third book in Ruth Logan Herne’s series.

As many of the residents gather around Jazz in her time of need, Herne spins that small-town magic that makes you want to be a part of them. And while I couldn’t really relate to Jazz (a high fashion super model with plenty of money and a past filled with magazine shoots and travel), she is l

When I signed up for this tour, I didn't realize that it was part of a series. I wish I had had the time to read the first two books before this one! I was able to enjoy the story despite not reading the first two books, but the glimpses I had of Kelsey and Thea's stories in Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge make me look forward to reading more about the little town, even if I did read them out of order.
I have enjoyed the other books I have read by Ruth, so I knew I was in for a treat when I picke

I read the first two books in the series right before this one and I liked how they all complemented each other. The small town setting is quaint and idyllic, and the dialogue between the characters has a distinct voice of faith-filled wisdom. All the wonderful characters of the previous books are present and integral in the plot of this third book, which has a more suspenseful tone than the others from the get-go. The tension of waiting for Jazz's stalker to strike again is drawn out through th ...more

This book is a story that is captivating and heartfelt penned by well known author, Ruth Logan Herne. Jazz Monroe is longing for peace after years of being a supermodel and almost destroying her body. The attack on her life brought her dear friends in Wishing Bridge closer as they sought the assailant and keeping Jazz safe. Garrett Jackson and his partners met to develop a safety plan even when Jazz moved to an elite gated community. His attraction for Jazz was there but he thought he didn’t sta ...more

I did not read the first two Wishing Bridge books, so there was a lot of names I had to learn, but it really wasn't so much trouble. This is Jazz's story. When she moved to Wishing Bridge she wasn't planning on staying, but shes still here and loving it. Jazz is the third of the Soul Sisters, and hers is a story that will stay with me for a while. The emotions at every turn were heart gripping, and I shed a lot of tears while reading this story. I love the small town of Wishing Bridge and it has ...more

I enjoyed this sweet and suspenseful story set in a wonderful small town. I liked Jazz and how independent and strong she was. She had already been through a lot with her career and eating disorder and wasn't about to let a possible stalker scare her away from the future she wanted. The other characters in the story were great, from the elderly couple to a retired cop to her friends. They became her family. Garrett, one of the deputies and a friend who decided to guard her, was sweet an

Three friends come to find and call Wishing Bridge home. Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge is the story of the third friend, super model Jazz Monroe and how she falls in love with Wishing Bridge and comes to call it home. It’s about her struggle with an eating disorder and wanting to move on and away from her fame and money seeking career. It’s about the importance of long lasting friendship, and of course romance. To be honest, I wasn’t aware that this was the third book in a series, but after starting it and wondering about the various characters, I backed up and began listening to Welcome to Wishing Bridge. The audiobook, made housework, cooking, and working outside much more fun! Plus, I could finish the book faster that way.

The town of Wishing Bridge is filled with a cast of characters you’ll want to familiarize yourself with. And I can almost promise that you will love them instantly. They are divers

"In Wishing Bridge she wanted to be known for her open heart, her kindness and her character."

Former supermodel Jazz Monroe has travelled the world and made millions of dollars, but the charming community of Wishing Bridge has begun to feel like home . . . until an unexpected trauma completely tangles her sense of small town security. Is it possible that someone is intent on destroying not only her peace of mind, but her very life?

As local friends come to her rescue, Jazz has the opportunity to

Oh, this book! I could not put it down. My heart will never be the same. I was so very happy to be visiting Wishing Bridge again. ❤❤❤
This is indeed a roller coaster of emotions. A story filled with love, suspense, love, true friendship, and love. Yes, I know I mentioned love three times. There are many kinds of love here.

I really enjoy books that have a "Small Town" setting. Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge by Ruth Logan Herne is a book with a Small Town Setting. Books with Small Town settings have a comfortable feel about them and bring the sense of community to a book when reading it.

Book 3 in the Wishing Bridge series features the story of Jazz. The series is about 3 girls who were raised in Foster Care by a godly mother and the bond they formed turned into a life long friendship/sisterhood. Jazz used to be a

This is the first of this author I am reading and it was a great journey through the lives of imperfect friends but their heart and willingness to be there for each other, going the extra mile. It is not easy to walk away from the limelight but I admired Jazz's courage to do what was right for her. I enjoyed the flow of the story, there was no dull moment. My Thoughts on Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge by Ruth Logan Herne
Suggested Beverage Pairing: Rootbeer Float served in a frozen glass
Jacinda, Jazz, Monroe, international model turned small town girl, had just started finding herself, and freedom, when she’s accosted at a public event. Her small town friends rally around her to provide safety and security that she desperately needs. Unfortunately she wants those things on her own, not having to rely on others.

Ruth Logan Herne knows how to craft an enchanting small town full of interesting characters and history. Wishing Bridge is a tiny town in upstate NY and this book is #3 in the series. I wish I had read the first two books; that would have helped me to better organize the secondary characters of this story in my mind since there were so many. The charming atmosphere and solidarity in Wishing Bridge are quite lovely, even if there is a bit of hostility towards the privileged who live in a gated co ...more
It has been awhile since I've truly struggled to get through a novel and I hate to admit this, but Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge was a major struggle for me. This book is part of the Wishing Bridge series, and I haven't read the first two books yet, so maybe that was the problem, but I struggled to connect to the characters, to sympathize with their situations, and to feel apart of their quaint community.

I very much enjoyed my first Wishing Bridge novel. Though I typically prefer to start with the first book, and this is a novel that is very much part of a series whose community of characters and their stories are strongly represented. So much so that I occasionally had trouble keeping the relationships sorted. But Jacinda “Jazz” Monroe, former super model turned small town waitress/real estate investor, is such an interesting lead and having her be pursued by a stalker as well as two very diffe ...more

This is the first book that I have read of Ms. Herne, but I really enjoyed it. This was a really cute and sweet read. It had just enough action to keep me interested but not enough to scare me.
I really liked meeting Jazz, she was such an interesting character. It was so cool for me to see how she learned to overcome her fears. She was strong, when she had to be but she also knew when it was time to let others help. She was also such a nice person, she did not let her fears stop her from loving

Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge by Ruth Logan Herne was not at all peaceful for this reader! Let me explain. I've been looking forward to the story of Jazz Monroe, top money making model for 7 straight years, since the start of the Wishing Bridge series. High anticipation coupled with having waited a while to read book 2, and the opportunity to jump right into this book gave this reader a level of joy and expectations. I'm happy to report expectations were met, plus more. There's a
