I didnt know her name, but I heard her laugh, tasted her lips, felt her warm skin as I held her in my arms. Together we watched our young children playing in the sand, the warm ocean lapping the shore behind them as the setting sun painted the sky. She was my soulmate and this was our life, our beautiful forever

Then I woke upalone in a hospital room, connected to wires

I was looking forward to this book. With its awesome blurb, it had captivated my heart so much that I got the book as soon as it came out and started to read it without checking any reviews. I wish I had been more cautious about it.

Something that sounds too good to be true usually is!

Now, let me warn you about it so that you don't make the same mistake. This book is a complete mess with very frustrating characters.

This is NOT romance, we wait the whole book for MC to be together and it is constant asshole ex interfering, hero feeling guilty bla bla there is no romance here until nearly the end of the book

I was so pumped for this books release.....so impatient as I waited on the release date so I could download and devour it. So imagine my surprise and excitement level when I saw a new book sitting on my Kindle in the Uncollected section. Jumping up & down AND squealing occurred, I am not exaggerating and Im not embarrassed about it-I went total schoolgirl giddy

When they first met Cainan was trying to seduce her into spending a night with him but Brie turned him down, no matter how panty-melting gorgeous he is.

"𝓝𝓮𝔁𝓽 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 𝔀𝓮 𝓶𝓮𝓮𝓽, 𝔀𝓮 𝔀𝓸𝓷'𝓽 𝓫𝓮 𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻𝓼."

Months have passed and Cainan got in an accident. While in a coma, he dreamed that he's married with kids, it's so vivid that he thought it's real and it's not. But the face of the woman is so unforgettable, that he looked everywhere just to find her. And when he found her she belongs to another

From page one I WAS ADDICTED! LOVED Cain so much. Ah this is definitely one of my fave slow burn romances of 2020! I am fairly new to Renshaw, but have loved everything I've read!

If you're looking for a love story that will keep you on the edge of your seat with anticipation, you should grab this one!

This love story begins as a dream. Cainan was in a terrible accident and was comatose for a while. During that time he had vivid dreams of a wife and kids. when he awoke, he was astonished to be told he was not married. when he meets his best friend's fiancee he realizes that she is his dream lover. Brie is engaged to a Grant who appears be a perfect match for her. Everyone loves Grant. Things come to a head when Brie and Cainan are thrown into each others space. They must respect the ...more

Every time I read one of Winter's books, I loudly exclaim "this one is my favorite!" So yup, here we go again...

This one is my favorite! I LOVE the characters. So many romance novels are filled with characters who are just too boisterous, raucous, and perfect to be believable. Brie, an accomplished actuary, is the girl next door -- she's smart, pragmatic, mature, and of course beautiful. An odd mix of serendipity and frightening circumstances have her running into Cainan on more than one

Brie and Cainan's first meeting sets the wheel of fate in motion, putting them on a life-altering course to happy ever after. The final outcome isn't set in stone though and the choices they make will determine where they end up.

The intriguing book blurb alone should whet your appetite for this amazing story! There's something magical, literally and figuratively, in this incredible love story. It is sweet and heart-warming and special in every way. The appealing characters, the excellent

A lovely story about destiny. Although a lot of chapters, they are brief and smoothly flow between points of view. I especially liked the development of Cainans character from his introduction pre-accident. I warmed up to Brie about midway. Shes a bit indifferent but once she spends time with Cainan I liked her growing confidence and how she became comfortable with herself. My only confusion was how she didnt realize he was the same guy from the bar a few days before his accident. If youre ...more

When Winter Renshaws ARC for The Best Man hit my Kindle, I was salivating for it. Unfortunately, I had other more pressing ARCs to read so as to meet my deadlines for those reviews. Yesterday, when it went LIVE EARLY was the first time I could finally sit back and read it. I was nervous. Its 50ish chapters. I knew I needed it read by last night, and I worried that I would have to pull an all-nighter.

Yet, I neednt worried BECAUSE in true Winter Renshaw fashion, The Best Man

4 Stars!
This was my fist book by Winter Renshaw and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Having finished it in just under two days, I can honestly this say this book was a breath of fresh air. I love love loved the premise of the story: a man is in a terrible car accident and while in a coma, dreams about his wife and kids only to wake up and learn he was never married and doesn't have children. Intriguing right?? That's just the tip of this truly different and unique story line. As you can tell from the

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I really did enjoy this book and it is quite different to anything that i have read before.

Cainan wakes up from a coma convinced that he has a wife and two children, but is confused when his sister tells him that he is not even married. The then is consumed with the woman from his dreams, although he gets on with getting better and going back to work.

It is only when his shitty best friend announces that he is

Oh my goodness!! This book! Talk about a slow burn! My heart broke for Cainan. He so clearly knew in his heart what his future held, and was devastated to learn that the literal woman of his dreams was his best friends fiancée!

So much of this book is Cainan and Brie on their individual journeys. Hes struggling to come to terms with who he was before his coma, and trying to figure out who the woman he dreamed about was. Shes stuck in a relationship that shes not really sure she wants to be in.

This book pushes the mind and makes you try to imagine things you didnt know were possible.

How could a man in a coma live his whole life with his wife and children that he doesnt even have yet? How can he know is wifes favorite authors, books, movies, food, favorite places to visit, etc when he has never truly met her?

Brie comes across to everyone as afraid to love but that isnt necessarily the case. She just doesnt want to settle for anything or anyone unless its true love. She has already

Cainan and Brie will capture your hearts in this touching story. Cainan awakens from a dream that was so detailed he actually believed that he was married with a family. Imagine his surprise that said woman is fiancé to his best friend. They met previously and she had turned him down. Brie met Grant at the hospital and struck up a relationship. Now he has asked for her hand in marriage but Brie is having second thoughts because she also has feelings for Cainan. This romance can turn out one of ...more

Voluntarily leaving a review ..arc received by hidden gems books.

Pure destiny!!

Love me a good second chance romance novella.

Caine and brie meet and then an unexpected accident happens.

Brie and Caine meet yet again but cain doesnt remember meeting her. Brie discovers her fiances best man is none other than her mystery man she met at a bar months ago.

Angst filled pages and unrequited love.

Will cain and brie find their way back to each other?

Love cain and bries story.
Gut wrenchingly good.

Do you believe in fate? Do you believe that dreams do come true? Well this book is about that and more! I couldnt put it down.

Brie is shy and has her life planned out, until one night when she witnesses a terrible accident, and she holds a mans hand until the paramedics come, she talks about her life to try and keep him with her. At the hospital she meets his best friend Grant and they start a relationship, but Grant doesnt just want Brie for her, he has a bigger plans.

I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and done this review honestly and voluntarily.
It was a very nice reading, but I don't want to say much for fear of becoming a spoiler. The blurb already says it all and was captivating enough to get me to read the whole book in one day.
Still, for those who truly let the stroy talk to them, it can make you reflect a bit about the meaning of life and love and how the decisions we make can make we either waste time or truly engage on what life is

I really wanted to like this book unfortunately when you start dreading and immediately skipping paragraphs you know it will not be a good read.

This story really doesn't have anything going for it. The title doesn't really apply because there was no need for The best man and we knew this from the first page. The heroine along with the hero don't have connection at all and if you are expecting a hear stopping love story it will not happen. The two characters really have nothing going until like

Slowest angst ever. 🎶worth it🎶

Winter said this book was the most drawn out angst. She wasn't joking. However the chemistry between Cainan and Brie was electric. They did the friendship thing before the couple thing (hence the very slow burn) but it built their characters into the strong unit they came to be. As soon as I started I had to finish the same day. I couldn't put it down.

I absolutely love this wonderful heartwarming romance!
What starts as a mutual attraction between Cainan and Brie becomes a deep and soul binding love as fate takes a detour when, the woman of his dreams turns out to be his best friends fiancé. With loyalty and friendship at stake, may The Best Man win!
This is one of my new favourites, that Ill read again and again.

What a great story!
Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real that when you wake up, you're sure it was real? Cainan does, and can't stop thinking about the dream for months; until one day he meets the woman of his dreams, and she's engaged to his best friend. Cainan is torn, between his feelings for Brie and his friendship with Grant. Cainan and Brie both feel a connection but refuse to cross the line. Will they keep resisting the pull, or will they break someone's heart? I really enjoyed

Winter Renshaw's latest is everything you'd expect from her writing, including a twist. A highly unusual twist. Cainin & Brie meet in a bar, where she shuts him down and leaves. Over time and through circumstance, they meet again and discover that he has had recurring dreams of her. She, meanwhile, has met & is unknowingly dating, Grant, Cain's best friend. This book is well worth the time. HEA is assured and there is a slight element of cheating involving a secondary character. No ...more
