MATED TO THE ENEMY brings us the third story in the High House Ursa series by Riley Storm. Jessica and Klaue make a believable (under the circumstances) couple who are fighting her fears and their attraction, even as Klaue has been told that she is his mate.

Although I’ve been away from this series for a bit I was easily drawn back into this world with no difficulties. This story is so intense mainly because I “get” Jessica’s reasons for remaining silent and Klaue’s need

“Mated to the Enemy” is the third book in the riveting High House Ursa series. It is an incredible fast-paced story that held me captive until the final page. Jessica, a human is running from the werewolves. She has accidentally over-heard a private conversation between three powerful werewolves and they are after her. She arrives at Ursa House in hopes that the bear shifters will give her asylum and protect her. Klaue a bear shifter is the first person she meets and she is stunned by the ...more

Another sequel to the "House of Ursa" series, this is the story of Klaue, second-in-command to the captain of the guards and fighting for the position of Champion of House Ursa, supported by the queen.
The day before the first round of fights for the position a woman arrives hunted by House Canis. With distrust high in the House and traitors still at large, he has a hard time to protect Jessica, following not only his Queen's orders, but also the demand of his heart, as he recognizes her as his

This is the 3rd book to the High House Ursa and it’s an absolutely fantastic story I really enjoyed these characters Jessica and Klaue. For years Jessica’s sister has been telling her that the bear shifters are evil but right now she is trying to get away from these vicious werewolves. Klaue has just met his mate and he has become her protector while she is there but Jessica is hiding something and she won’t tell anyone so Klaue ends up thinking that she is a spy for the House Canis. Jessica is ...more

I have been enjoying this series about the warring shifter clans. The bear shifters have faced many losses and are not very trusting of Jessica when she crashes by their home. Klaue is determined to protect her and hopes her secrets don't ruin everything.

Jessica really wants to protect her sister. She knows she is sabotaging her own life by keeping her secret from the clan. She is falling for Klaue and really seeing that these shifters are different than she expected.

He is pretty clueless on how

Bear with them

Another brilliantly written story in the ongoing saga If you haven't read any of the earlier ones done worry as this can be read as a stand alone but you will miss some excellent stories if you don't get them all. ! A very fast paced story full of love romance, action, betrayal and a mystery that is not yet fully understood nor solved. The women be they human or shifter are no wilting lilies but as fierce and determined as the bear shifters that love

Wow! This next book in the series does not disappoint! The intrigue in the House of Ursa continues as they try to flush out the traitor. Jessica flees the Canis house when she overhears something while visiting her sister. They are human, but she has come to terms with her sister's mate so she isn't' totally shocked when a giant bear comes to her rescue after she runs from Canis. Klaue has just been told his mate has been found, but she is in danger and heading to their house. Their attraction ...more

This was another great story in the House of the Ursa. I really enjoy this series and can't wait to read more about this world.

Jessica overhears something and when caught, she runs for her life. She has one thought of getting to the House of the Ursa. She doesn't really think much beyond that. Klaue is told by another bear, Kincaid to follow him in order to find/meet his mate. He is shocked to see Jessica being chased by wolves. He is asked to learn more and he will do anything to protect her.

This just keeps getting better! I love that each book in this series is a standalone for each couple but each one continues the overall story of House Ursa. I honestly can't wait for the others. Jessica and Klaue were hot, funny, and stubborn. I loved them. Their hysterics was so refreshing to read about. I also liked that in this story Jessica was already familiar with the shifter world so it gave it a different feel. I also loved that we had a glimpse of what was going on with our past ...more

I missed reading the first three books but I was able to easily jump into this story. The story is about two shifter species. The wolves and their enemy the bears (Ursa). Jessica is a human that knows about the secret world of the shifters. She always thought the wolves were the somewhat good guys and the bears were the enemy. But when she overheard one conversation her whole world will change. And the only one that will protect her is Klaue, a bear shifter. The story has a lot of action with ...more

Jessica goes to visit her sister, and overhears something that could be dangerous to her - so she runs, to the House of Ursa. The bears are supposed to be all that is not good, but they take her in - allbeit not all of them happily. Why is she feeling this reaction the Klaue? There is trouble brewing - and her sister is in danger too - will they all survive? And will Jessica end up with her happy ever after? I love this series!

While visiting her mated sister at the House of the Wolf clan, Jessica overhears some top secrets that has her running for her life to the gates of the wolf clan's enemy, Clan Ursa. She is saved by two bear shifters, one of whom is her mate. Intrigue, espionage and sneak attacks from the enemy and an undercover operation to rescue Jessie's sister all help to rev up the story while the sparks of love and lust bond Jessica and her mate Klaue. An entertaining romance. What I refer to as a quick ...more

I'm really enjoying this series...I hate for it to end. The plot of book 3 is interesting. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were developed and easily relatable. While the love story kind of takes a back seat to the treason storyline, it's still a really good read. Once I started I couldn't put it down. What was a little disappointing to me, is that Kincaid had a small part in this story. I can't wait to read the final book in this series...

Riley Storm is a new author to me and thus I haven't read others in the series. SO yes, I can honestly say that it can be easily read as a standalone story. this book is actually one of the better shifter romances I have read in a while Klaue and jessica are so different and there are so many twists and turns that it can get confusing if your not paying attention. I loved the fight between the warewolves and the bears then you throw in the magic users and one extremely stubborn and slightly onxious human into the mix and yea cant go wrong

An absolutely fantastic addition to the “High House Of Ursa” series and I does not disappoint. It is bursting with action, suspense, intrigue, secret, traitors, and magic. The characters are strong, stubborn, and the chemistry between them is hot. A really enjoyable read guaranteed to leave you wanting more. Definitely recommended.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Klaue and Jessica are mates - she doesn't know and he only got to rescue her, because the Hunter of House Ursea told him so... It is a little out of the ordinary thats definitely for sure, but the intensity of everything within House Ursea is remarkable to read through. I liked it quite a lot. The names of all the members starting with a "K" while the wolfs start with an "L" is just hilariously funny.

Mate or spy?

They say nothing good comes from eavesdropping. When Jessica overhears something she shouldn't, she runs. Seeking sanctuary, what Jessica finds is so much more and not what she has been led to believe. Klave knows Jessica is his mate but is she also a spy for their enemies? Read to find the answers...you won't be disappointed.

The continuing story of High House of Ursa is one heart pounding adventure. Jessica is accidentally thrust into the intrigue and meets Klaue, her mate, while running for her life from House of Canis. Wonderful new and returning characters. Great well written storyline filled with plenty of suspense, drama, action, magic, a wedding and romance. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Enjoy!

This is Klaue and Jessica's story. Jess is visiting her sister, Zoe, who is mated to a Canis, the sworn enemy of the House of Ursidae. She overhears something that puts her life in danger. Escaping, but having to leave Zoe behind, she ends up at the House of Ursidae. Klaue defends her to everyone who think she is a spy . Apparently, Jess is his mate. A great continuation to this wonderful series. Bring on the next book please.

Another wonderful installment of this fantastic series! I love this book; the plot is interesting and fast moving. The characters are well described and behave accordingly. The main characters although destined for each other have a lot to go through to even reach the trust stage! It’s another brilliant book!
