Deep learning methods can achieve state-of-the-art results on challenging computer vision problems such as image classification, object detection, and face recognition. With clear explanations, standard Python libraries, and step-by-step tutorial lessons, you’ll discover how to develop deep learning models for your own computer vision projects.
Jason Brownlee, Ph.D. trained and worked as a research scientist and software engineer for many years (e.g. enterprise, R&D, and scientific computing), and is known online for his work on Computational Intelligence (e.g. Clever Algorithms), Machine Learning and Deep Learning (e.g. Machine Learning Mastery, sold in 2021) and Python Concurrency (e.g. Super Fast Python).
I won't give this book a rating because I did not do any of the recommended exercises and so I feel I can't accurately and fairly evaluate this book quantitively. However for my purposes, which was to use it as a reference for my thesis and to brush up on a few key concepts, it served perfectly well. I think it's a well written, well structured and well researched book, and one I may still reference in the future for my work. For those reasons, I recommend it to everyone who's interested in this area.
