A lovely contemporary romance with two great protagonists and lots of funny moments. Plenty of steam as well. Rachel and Roger are both very cautious on their relationships, having been burned before. They’re attracted to each other, but they struggle to let themselves go and try to dive in a new relationship. I think the plot is more oriented towards this aspect of the story than the day-to-day problems the two characters have to face to reach their goal.

Take Two is Karysa Faire’s debut full-length novel and it’s a good one. She’s woven a wonderful story about Rachel, who is a teacher, single mom, and writer, who falls in love with her fantasy man, an actor cast as the hero in a movie based on her first novel.

Roger is a wounded individual, recovering from a nasty divorce, who is drawn to the woman who created the character he is bringing to the screen. Even when tabloids begin causing them problems, he can’t seem to stay away from her.

What a ride!

Well, what can I say about a book from a debut author who kept me up until two in the morning reading? This book had it all. A heroine who was making it on her own while raising a child after a nasty marriage to a hero who at times I wanted to shake. No wonder our heroine was star struck and fell in love with our hero. The characters were well developed as were the descriptive scenes where everything came alive before my eyes. The plot kept me intrigued to find out what would happen

So well written! This story took me for a ride, and there are some very unexpected twists. I loved the characters, even when they drove me crazy! This makes a great beach read, or fireplace read, or any kind of read. I was invested in the characters, and am really hoping that there is some kind of sequel.

Great book. The characters were developed so well that I really felt like I got to know them throughout the story. I got lost in the love story and cannot put the book down. Definitely recommend it
